“Good not great, matcha is pretty solid quality but the hojicha is just okay. It feels like more of an afterthought as it’s the less popular of the two. I do think the desserts are something I’d like to come back for though. I hope they source a better hojicha powder in the future for their lattes. Plenty of seating as well.“

“We had gone to the “Coffee and Matcha Fest” and it was severely disappointing. So, we left and came here instead. We were blown away! Great coffee, fantastic matcha, and incredible flavors. Be warned, parking is sparse but it is worth the walk.“

“Wow! Everything was 10/10. I love that they don’t use the normal torani or mornin syrup. I got a Iilikoi themed matcha and it was delicious. I also got a croissant sandwich that was really good. The sandwich was nicely cut in half (I hate biting into a whole sandwich) and had napkins at the bottom of the box. It’s the little things!!“

“The ultimate clean smoothie and crack seed place on a budget.I think I've easily found my #2 smoothie spot outside Lanikai juice and easily beats it for the value. While finding it off beretania is rough and parking even rougher (tight side alley action) the food and drinks are worth the wait. It's a legit hole in the wall run by a couple of aunties who are making clean and whole fruit smoothies in bulk it's insane. For a 32oz smoothie with any combo of fruit it's 10 bucks. Taste is super clean and you can actually taste the fruit chunks as you lap up this sleeper in your car. They also have a wide variety of crackseed stuff and gummies which I'd be down to try as the prices are quite reasonable. Easily a return spot !“

“YUM! I loved the longboard latte and brown sugar latte. I came here multiple times on my vacation. On Friday morning, the line was very long. The breakfast burrito is great. The plain bagel was kind of dry and almost too plain? Could’ve used some salt or something in the bagel recipe.

“I got a delicious breakfast from Sunshine & Pineapple. This is my new favorite breakfast and brunch spot on Oahu, just a short stroll from Waikiki or Kaimuki area. The cafe has a cute atmosphere. The menu features a variety of delicious options, from crispy croffle and acai bowls and Avocado Toast.
Many dishes are made with fresh local ingredients. The friendly staff and quick service add to the overall charm. This is a must-visit for a breakfast or bruch time in waikiki. Their Matcha and coffee are amazing. My kids like the smoothie too.

Been a huge fan of this business but only been able to sample their foods at the Kakaoka farmer's market, first time at their store. There’s a limited amount of tables inside and they also have outside seating available.“

“My friend and I went to Rise the other week for a late lunch, and I'm so glad we did. I really appreciated the low-key and comfortable vibe of the space. The upstairs adds a lot of extra room and every table is positioned to offer privacy. I don't eat Keto all the time, but the chicken and chaffles had a lot of really good flavor and I did not miss the sugar or wheat flour. It also felt really good to know that I was eating something healthy, without having to worry about the ingredients. Our food and drinks were prepared promptly, and I thought everyone there was friendly. The real winner for me was the mac nut latte. It is gritty (with chopped macadamia nuts) which surprised me at first, but I liked it because it added to the nutty flavor. I find myself still thinking about it. I like my coffee strong, and I love the flavor of mac nuts so this is a winner in my book. I work nearby, and am glad Rise is there because there aren't many good coffee houses in the area in my opinion - let alone one that offers fresh and healthy meal choices. I'm grateful Rise is in Kaimuki!“

“Tucked in a very small corner of a small house-like building, Daily Whisk Matcha equally has a very small space for people to enjoy or relax with their matcha. I didn’t expect how small the space was or how many seats that were available, but I decided to visit during a local holiday and it was definitely busy. There are only about six chairs you can sit in, so it’s definitely a grab n’ go situation. There’s also very limited parking, so you can’t stay too long. As for the matcha, it was pretty good. They have a variety of matcha drinks that I would want to try again someday. Next time, I would probably try to come in earlier so that I wouldn’t have to wait in line.“

“Arvo Cafe quickly became a daily highlight of my stay at the Surfjack. The team are exceptional; friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. By my third visit they already knew my name and coffee order, which made every morning feel personal.

The coffee is excellent (not always easy to find), and the toasted everything bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon is the perfect light breakfast.

If you're staying at the Surfjack, the 10% guest discount is an added bonus. Highly recommended.“

“When in Waikiki this place has always been our “go to” place for coffee and fresh pastries! A pleasant surprise occurred when we arrived 5 minutes before they open(@7:00AM) and saw a line of about 15 people standing outside the doors. As they opened, the line of people ahead of us directly when to the bag display area. Each then grabbed a linen bucket tote-10th Anniversary Edition. Being the last in line we decided to grab the last bag on the rack. The bag cost a hefty $75.00, but figured it must be worth it since people stayed in line to purchase the bag. One person in line commented that she had been there since 6:00AM! After grabbing the last bag, several other customers who entered after were left disappointed that they were out of
stock.“

The young staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making it easy for us to choose what to order. My favorite items were definitely the ice cream, which was absolutely delicious, and the acai bowl, which was packed with fresh fruit and tasted so fresh.
We were still a little hungry, so we also ordered a waffle. It was perfectly sweet, generously topped, and incredibly delicious.

“I have lived right across from this coffee shop for over a year and I finally tried it. I read reviews about the Hawaiian latte and figured I would give it a try. Definitely delicious and I recommend. I will be back for sure to get that coffee again. I didn’t try any food. It was very quiet and only a couple people in there.“
