“We found this spot in google maps after dropping our son off at Leilehua HS. We wanted some coffee and found this hidden gem.
Its family ran and they are so sweet! Their coffee was good. We also tried their bento box (rice, eggs, Portuguese sausage) for $5!! So cheap but it tastes like my Mom made breakfast for me.
She also gave us a bunch of pastries for free to try. Blueberry scone, guava croissant and banana bread. All super delish!
They accept military discount.
I think we found our go to spot here in Hawaii. It gives a homie vibe, reasonable price and homemade goodies. I love it!“

“I ❤️ the brown sugar milk tea. It has now become one of my fave drinks from here. It is sooo tasty & very addicting! The other drinks are delicious too. I've noticed they have some sweet treats too. But I still haven't gotten a chance to try it yet. Hopefully, on my next visit I will try it.“

“We love Drive Thru Joe. The only legit amenity on this base provides us a piece of happiness. Customer service is top and the drinks are fun, refreshing and creative. This is on our top 5 list of things we will miss when leaving the island!!!“

“Order delivery from McDonald's app to be delivered to Wahiawa so never need drive The order went to Mililani mauka McDonald's. Doordash was great. Received the bag sealed. Opened bag. Was missing mocha frappe and a fries. Had to go to Wahiawa McDonald's to pick up missing items. Wahiawa McDonald's was great they gave us a whole new order because food was getting cold already. No sense order delivery if the order is not going to be fulfilled.“

“What a hidden gem! This place is tricky to find but well worth it! The food was delicious! I ordered an iced caramel machiatto and the chicken and bubble waffle. Our waitress, Chelsea, was extremely attentive, energetic and kind! 10/10 recommend!“
“It’s a great spot to grab coffee, an acai bowl or pastry in the morning as it’s open earlier than everywhere else on that side of the island. The folks working there weren’t super friendly any of the days we visited. The location is beautiful.“

“This is our go-to desert place, whether we’re on the north shore or coming from central Oahu. We decided one morning to have lunch there and ordered crepe’s, Jacinta helped us with recommendations and we were not disappointed, the perfect meal before heading to the beach.“
“Visited Bird’s Nest. The matcha was good, but needed a little more sweetness for my taste. The food was amazing, ordered the orange cardamom pastry and will definitely be coming back to get another and try out some of their coffee options! Overall, great spot :))“

“This place is well worth the trip when you have a car rental and want to stay out of the crowded tourist crowds. We visited this shoppe on an early weekday morning and it wasn't busy at all. They have a lot of items in stock, and there was a kind staff member there who greeted us and gave us some coffee and chocolate free samples. We also got a tour of their coffee bean production plant, the coffee farm as well as a few cocoa plants that were at the back of the shoppe. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and bought some souvenir snacks here that we couldn't find elsewhere in the main Waikiki city. I recommend visiting this shop, and big thanks from Canada and the USA for the staff's kindness and hospitality!“

“So, I tried the cookie butter matcha, and wow, it was ridiculously good. I swear I finished it in under 10 minutes, seriously, I might as well have just straight-up licked the cup. The best part? The staff is super friendly and even gives out free drinks to our homeless kapuna which is just so kind. It’s nice to see a place that’s not just about the drinks but also about spreading some aloha. If you want something delicious and a place that’s got a heart, this is the spot 💕“

“Small bakery but BIG quality and flavor!! Everything I have tried from there has been so delicious. The donuts are huge with homemade fillings, the pound cake is perfect and made with local fruits, but the pies - the pies will make you want to moan, curse, or both. The chocolate haupia pie is the best pie I’ve had in my life, but you can’t go wrong with any of the fruit ones or the sweet potato. Worth the drive from wherever you are, guaranteed.“

“🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Discovered Mele Mele Bakery by happy accident during one of their open mic nights—and it’s been a sweet love affair ever since (pun very much intended). This place is a charming mash-up of cozy, quirky, and cool. It’s got that laid-back local vibe that makes you feel instantly at home, whether you're here for the kava, the heavenly baked goods (seriously, their pastries should be illegal), or just to soak in some tunes. They’re not a vegan bakery, but they don’t leave plant-based folks out in the cold—there’s always a small, solid selection of vegan goodies that actually taste good (you know what I mean). Bonus points: they serve locally produced honey, they’re totally dog-friendly, and you’ll likely spot a few kids dancing along to the music while their parents sip kava like it’s their new favorite ritual (because it might be). I had an unforgettable evening here recently when my son performed at their Friday open mic. Watching him play to such a warm, supportive crowd while the smell of fresh bread filled the air…well, let’s just say this place has officially baked itself into my heart. If you're looking for good vibes, better bites, and a community feel that doesn’t feel forced—Mele Mele is your spot.“

“Absolutely loved this coffee shop! The atmosphere is amazing, the drinks were delicious, and the service made the experience even better. Jerica was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive — she made us feel so comfortable and taken care of. This is definitely the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Can’t wait to visit next time we’re in Hawaii!“

“Great location here! I often stop by to get work done - and this is really the place I love to be. The workers here are awesome, and they'll really take care of you. Wifi is a little slow, around .6MBPS, but for public wifi I can't complain. The one thing Im not fond of is the music. Corporate policy, I imagine, but it gets a bit distracting. Bring a quality pair of headphones and you're golden.“

“The large banzai bowl could feel 3. The Maui sunrise was so fresh, acai flavor, and other tropical fruits mixed in were all great!
Tons of fresh fruit a top. They don’t skimp here. And no ice in the blend. Really enjoyed the acai bowl overall.
Lots of seating indoors with metal tables and chairs and some high top chairs.“

“Workers are EXTREMELY efficient considering the size of their work space and the endless line in the parking lot. Extremely kind, as well. I won’t get into detail because corporate entities are always watching, but I had a very bad day and I will say that they were extremely compassionate about it. If you’re planning on going here, remember to order online…makes everyone’s lives easier! (FYI I don’t work here I just have experience in the industry. Great job Starbucks!)“

“I went there from town because I used to live in in Waipahu and I was raised there and used to go to that Rockies once a week but I went there today after 40 years as soon as I walked up, the lady turned the sign and said we’re closed and said Cannot help you because we’re just closed instead of sitting me down and saying hey you’re here already wanna just order CD client and pushes her business away so I will never go there again bye👋“

“Tea Cafe in Tea Cafe is a quick stop for drinks but comes with a few small annoyances. Parking is handled through an app and is supposed to be free for the first two hours. Somehow I still got charged $9.99 which felt bogus and instantly took some of the joy out of what should have been a simple visit.
The shop itself is pretty small so it feels more like a grab your drinks and go kind of place rather than somewhere you hang out for a while. Drink prices range from about $4.50 to $9 depending on what you order which feels fair for boba and specialty drinks. Drinks were delicious!
We tried the watermelon pina colada chocolate and Thai tea. All of them were good and refreshing with the Thai tea being the standout. The flavors were solid and exactly what you want when you are craving something sweet and cold.
Tea Cafe does the job if you are in the area and want a variety of fun drinks. Just double check the parking situation so you do not accidentally turn a boba run into a $10 surprise.“

“I met Jocelyn at the cashier, and honestly, she’s one of the most friendly and kind people you could ever meet. She has such a warm and welcoming vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. The way she talks to customers feels very genuine and you can tell she really cares. She’s super patient, easy to talk to, and always has a positive energy. Even when it’s busy, she still makes people feel noticed and appreciated, which I think is really rare.
She really goes beyond just doing her job, and she makes the whole place feel more inviting. People like Jocelyn are the reason customers want to come back“

“Very friendly staff and good music, menu is also very easy to understand and have a lot of options. Plenty parking outside and they have convenient hours. Place looks very clean and have options for sitting. Today I tried the cocoa lover with and added some lychee, it is so delicious and refreshing, will definitely come back to try more of their teas.
Parking: Access from kaahumanu street“
“Drinks are always yummy. Excellent service. Plenty of tables to enjoy your cup of coffee. Hubby got the cafe mocha with was great. I got the venti iced shaken espresso and only 1 pump of syrup but was still too sweet for me and wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be. Overall it is still good. Will try without the syrup and add 1 or 2 extra shot of espresso next time.“

“We love coming here when we visit the Rec 7 pool. The hot saimin and cocoa are perfect for the cooler weather up here. The staff is consistently kind, joyful, and patient. Service is a little slow. Also, they serve Starbucks coffee but aren't an official franchise, so the app won't work. Luckily, they have a simple rewards system tied to your phone number. A great local spot that makes pool days much better!“

“This is in a nice hidden small food court in H-Mart. The pastries were great, well made and flavorful. The coffee was far superior to Starbucks. This is my new favorite coffee shop. If you're looking for a great cup of joe, this is the place.
Be warned the coffee selection is limited but the flavor is great. I would recommend the Einspanner.“
