Their menu features unique options infused with guava, lilikoi, and passion orange--fruits indigenous to Hawaii. The shaved ice, their main spotlight, is especially delicious. My friend opted for the pineapple flavor, and after sampling it, I found it to be incredibly refreshing, with just the right amount of syrup--perfect for warm weather. “A must stop if you're on the North Shore! We weren't sure what kind of shop we were looking for, so we passed it up and missed the parking across the street, but there are a few parking spots right around the corner with a path that leads to the shop. We purchased the chocolate chip and mochi loaves. They were both really delicious; the mochi was super moist. If we were to go back, I would definitely get the mochi loaf again. I may have to check out their shipping options.“
“I think this place is so cute, to be honest I was kind of ignoring it because I figured it would be a huge tourist trap with that uninviting feeling, but I was definitely wrong! It gets a lot of foot traffic but the atmosphere remains so relaxed and friendly and open. The owner encourages you to try samples of everything; coffee, his chocolate covered coffee beans, etc. I got to try a few different things and it made for great conversation. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating all over the farm. I think this is actually my favorite place on island for a nice sit down and unwind :)“

“We originally pulled into this driveway because of a sign that said Sweet Corn.But ironically, we ended up getting everything but sweet corn!This Kula Shaved ice stand is next to the Kuilima Farm.We were contemplating trying this place when a customer told us it was sooo good and that her local friend told them to try this place. And she added they use real fruit to flavor the ice. That hooked us and so we tried it.Man, I thought Island Vintage Shaved Ice was my favorite place, until I took a spoonful of this shaved ice.The flavor fills your tastebuds and it is just amazingly delicious!!! We tried both the Lilikoi and the rainbow mix of Strawberry, Mango, and Blueberry on another day. All flavors were amazing but Lilikoi is my personal favorite.Pricing is high at $13 (Island Vintage is $11) and this one doesn’t come with mochi toppings for free (we never got toppings). But the flavor is unmatched and they also add frozen yogurt inside.Parking is found anywhere in front of this stand or the other fruit stands.There is bench seating all over.I highly highly recommend this place as the best shaved ice I have ever had on the island!!!!“

“I've always wanted to visit this shack. They have fast and friendly service, and their acai bowl was delicious. A size small was the perfect amount for 1 person. Parking is pretty much road parking. Many people park across the street even though it says no parking, and carefully cross the road. “This is a must visit spot if you’re looking for Shaved Ice while on the North Shore. Some great desert options, but the Local is super flavorful, colorful, and a huge portion easily enough for two. Plenty of seating and parking, and your view is of the waters and Shark Cove so it’s a great spot to chill after swimming or before.“

However, my sister and my niece aren't familiar with these things and this place. They agreed to come with me and help me consume the FOUR Brownie Lattes (made with Kilani Bakery brownies) AND a pack of the famous brownies! Yeah! This is such a generous prize!I parked in the free shared lot and told the gal (Rose) at the counter that I was one of the Instagram winners. I asked if one of the lattes could be made with Oat Milk. Yes! Can do!We took a lot of photos, and the owner's wife took our group photo, too! LOL! My family is camera shy... The Brownie Latte is delicious! It was created from the old Reese's Peanut Butter Cup commercial... when the guy and the gal bump into each other while one was eating a chocolate bar and the other was eating from an open jar of peanut butter. If you look at Teapresso Bar's Instagram post, a guy and a gal bump into each other while one is eating a vanilla Latte from Teapresso Bar Wahiawa and the other is eating a brownie from Kilani Bakery. “During my shopping trip today, I decided to stop in Starbucks for a hot grande Chai Tea Latte. Upon walking in, the store was extremely busy. It was clean and you can see everyone enjoying their orders. The barista met me at the register and promptly took my order. She was friendly, and though she was busy, took the time to make sure that my order was correct and made sure I didn't want anything else I honestly thought it would be a little bit because there was a long line. However, the staff was getting drink orders out in a timely fashion, and I didn't have to wait long at all! I enjoyed my Chai Tea and left a happy customer.“
“We have visited many a Starbucks on Oahu and the mainland. I will say that the Waianae Starbucks is the best. Hands down. Service is super fast. Employees take their jobs seriously and finish orders as quick as they come in. Always pleasantries with the staff, and any issues or mistakes, or even last minute add-ons are never a problem. Inside is always clean. They used to have a bigger seating area until covid hit. Now, there is just enough. This may seem like a hidden gem, but everybody on the West side knows this place is special. Try visit during a busy time. You will hear the staff talking with the people by their first names. This is located inside the turtle bay resort bit locals love to come here and grab a coffee and chill a bit. It is very relaxing and have relatively good priced items my iced matcha was 7 dollars and the breakfast sandwich is 15 dollars. The service is nice but they are busy depending on the time you go. Food came out fast.“

“This is one of those authentic local joints that can be hard to find amidst all the touristy joints. Bill and Reba Martin are extremely welcoming and the dark roast natural process coffee was some the best I have tasted in my long life. Robust, but not at all bitter, and more pleasant than Sumatran. They grow it and process it right there. The power was out, so they couldn't grind any, so they sold me some ground coffee at the whole-bean price. They also hosted us around the store, which is in a cavernous old industrial building, with flashlights. When we were done, Bill showed me the roaster and then Reba took us behind the store for a look at the coffee and cacao beans laid out on tables and concrete to ferment. They also had old sugar mill equipment, that her Filipino community used to operate. She was rightfully proud. A real treasure and the highlight of the day.“
