“It's been half a year since we last came. The environment and vibe have not changed so much---very comfortable. They have a new Spring menu with a few new items added to their signature dishes. Tried their Hearts of Romaine salad, which was good with its light dressing. The Steakhouse Salmon was also good with a different kind of sauce. Hubby went for their Ribeye Steak which was not offered before and he also said it was pretty good. It was a pleasant date night.“

“The perfect diner spot to relax. My mother-in-law has nonspot raved bout this place for months Not only is the food phenomenal, the vibes are perfect. Hip-hop music jamming, front row seats to the show. It's the perfect quaint little place to wind down after the night. If you're looking to de-stress with simple, old sku menu, this is the place.“

“Classic local burger joint that's been a staple in kaimuki. Been coming here off and on for years.
Simple burgers although their menu is confusing. You'll see when you look at the menu. My coworkers got the royal and hal burgers. I wanted to try the hot dog with everything and fries.
I asked for everything on it, but they forgot the Ketchup and relish. Had plenty of onions and mustard though. Hot dog hit the spot, burst with meat juices and savory. Lol Fries were nicely salted and crispy.
My coworkers and I ordered online, indicated 20mins however we had to wait there another 15 mins for the food. Lame.
Also I wish they had a dine-in or sitting area. Minor issue, we decided to drive back to the office and eat.
All-in-all. Good price, good food, good locations off of waialae ave, near chaminade university and across from the new FedEx store.
Parking: Limited to five on-grade parking stalls.“

“All the noodles and appetizers (popcorn chicken, chicken skewers) are very DELICIOUS! The server was very friendly. The concept (you choose your own broth and toppings and the chef cooks for you) is so cool and interesting. We are coming back the 2nd day in a row!
Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options for vegetarians“

“The burgers and fries we had on our initial visit were so good that it prompted us to return the following day. However, during our second visit, we observed a few discrepancies. Firstly, the fries served were different and not as satisfactory as before. Secondly, the advertised "secret sauce" seemed to be absent unless mayonnaise was the intended secret ingredient. Additionally, it is worth noting that the menu lacks the option of ordering just the burger without the accompanying fries.
Edited to address the owners reply: I did not ask for anything different from the secret sauce. When we reached our hotel room, that's when we noticed we had mayonnaise and not the secret sauce. As far as the fries, I had no clue there were different options. If I did, I would have opted for the seasoned ones I previously had.“

“Stopped in for lunch and had a veggie burger and a Hawaiian burger, french fries and tater tots. The veggie burger was fine nothing special. The Hawaiian burger was a teriyaki type burger with pineapple and cheese which we like very much
I like that they had the option of veggie burger and beyond burger. You don’t always see that.
The Tater tots and french fries are both very good too“

“Great little diner to stop in and grab a burger. I had the barbecue bacon cheeseburger. It was absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly. Burger patty was well-seasoned. Cheese was nice and melty came with grilled onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato, thousand island dressing, and a nice sweet and zingy barbecue sauce. Will definitely be back to the Honolulu Burger company for another cheeseburger. Aloha!“

“This place is way better and cheaper than McDonald's. For $15 I could get a meal at McDonald's with sad fries and a 1/4lb basic burger. Here for $15 I got a large drink, fries, and a 1/2lb huge burger with fresh avocado and bacon and cheese, fresh lettuce and tomato, plus it's made with real fresh beef. The fries here are large crinkle cut and they are piping hot, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and delicious. You can also choose onion rings.
I really think it's good to support local and the owner is really nice, there's tons of seating indoors or outdoors and the new marketplace is so pretty under the big trees. Definitely come here if you're looking for affordable good burgers!“

“High quality and tasty food in a super local hole in the wall.
Menu had tons of good looking stuff, so I went with the first combo meal. Their teri beef is very tender, and the hamburger steak was great! But the standout for me was the chili, very unique and satisfying flavor. My friend had the steak and garlic shrimp, and both were cooked perfectly and incredibly delicious.
So much good looking stuff on the menu, I'll definitely be back to try more.“

“The hamburgers are delicious and the fries are so delicious. Unlimited drink refills. The milche is delicious, but there are a lot of portions. I came later and took it out individually.
But the store is a bit messy.
I don't really like homemade burgers, but you should try Teddy's. But if you pay this money and it's not delicious, you should get a shot from the store.“

“Had a wonderful meal here last night.
Requested a sidewalk-view table and was told it would be just a few minutes wait time. We started a drink at the bar and then were escorted to a perfect outdoor table viewing Kalakaua Ave. scene.
Now for the best part - our server Perry.
He was so pleasant and efficient and took such god care of us and our meal. Best server ever.
Food was good, as usual, but the service really made for a memorable evening.
Thanks again Perry!

Crispy bacon made it perfect. The fries were piping hot. Service was nice and efficient. Other customers ordered fish, if we have time before we leave, we csn do another stop.“

“Amazing service, good food, and a fun environment. Had a misunderstanding of the gift glasses you get with purchase and the manager took the time to address the issue. I ended up being wrong and he gave my daughter a gift for the confusion. I can appreciate that effort and customer consideration.“

“I stumbled upon this gem by pure chance, I saw a long line at 9 AM at the Smash Burger line at the Kaka’ako Farmers Market on Saturday. The first thing I asked myself was, “do I really want to eat a hamburger at 9 AM in the morning?” After asking a couple of people in line the same question, they had an answer, they said it was THAT good. I was sold. My wife wanted us to split one hamburger but the others in line advised me against it. I am SO glad I listened. I have never had a hamburger that was so flavorful in my life.
I am vacationing from the Bay Area but I will definitely be back for another Smash Burger on my next visit.“

“Stepping into Jane's Fountain is like taking a delightful journey back in time. This iconic diner, with its vintage charm and retro fixtures, offers more than just a meal – it offers a slice of Hawaii's rich history. Its time-worn counters and stools, where countless stories have been shared over the years, have seen generations come and go, yet the spirit of 'aloha' remains as vibrant as ever. The menu is a wonderful mix of comforting local favorites and classic American dishes. Their loco moco is hearty and flavorful, with a perfectly cooked egg atop a generous portion of rice and beef patty, all smothered in a rich gravy. The saimin warms the soul with its savory broth and springy noodles. And don't get me started on their breakfast offerings – the pancakes are fluffy pieces of heaven! The staff, many of whom seem like they've been part of the Jane's Fountain family forever, serve with genuine warmth and familiarity. It's not uncommon to see regulars greeted by name, making the dining experience feel personal and cherished. For those seeking a taste of old Hawaii combined with scrumptious food and heartwarming service, Jane's Fountain is an unmissable gem in the heart of Honolulu.“

“It's easy to miss. It's inside a gas station and I didn't see a sign advertising it (had been looking for days!!) Just like on the mainland- big flame grilled burgers and toppings. Fries cooked when you order so crispy and hot. Definitely will be my burger place here. They have a small sit down area but, it being inside a gas station, It's VERY small. Their Super Star puts the Whopper to SHAME!“

“My Uncle Brian flew in to meet me for the very first time and took Me, Mommy, and Daddy to this killer spot right by one of my favorite pawts of Wakiki Beach! While Mommy has me on a very strict diet my new favorite Uncle fed me the best hibachi 🐔 I have ever had placed on this finicky tongue (and there's a lot of hibachi chicken that's passed through these big lips 🤪) The staff attended to my every need, and for as much as they were laughing I would say my Ohana was pretty happy too. I know mommy mentioned the fantastic Jerky and took home some quesadilla, because everyone was too full from the big plates (is there such a thing🤔) of nachos, fries, and coconut shrimp. Its a shore fyre time, I just wish we had had the time to get some of those surfing lessons or rent a board that they offer too... Maybe next time! 🤙“

“I and a couple of other retirees discovered Pur Sina when they opened and have been weekly customers ever since. Their small kitchen limits the menu choices, but what they offer is tasty and reasonably priced. The pleasant customer-oriented staff has made it serve as a home away from home for us, and we have always felt welcomed. If/when they leave, they will be sorely missed.“

“A hole-in-the-wall place with a ~really~ good burger and fries. Probably the best on Waikiki, or at least the best I've found so far. Generous portion sizes, too. The only knock I can give is it's not "fast" food, like you might expect for a hole-in-the-wall place: Burger was (perfectly) made to order, so it took around the same amount of time to make as it would in a sit-down restaurant, but other than that, it was great. If you're looking for a burger you can grab and take to the beach, this is the place to get it.
Parking: Only parking is what you can find in the garages on Waikiki.“
