“This is a coffee shop like no other. The owners take incredible pride in brewing the best coffee ever, anywhere. It's 100% Hawai'an coffee, which coffee lovers know is extremely expensive, grown on the mineral-rich volcanic soil, with an incredibly intense flavour and aroma. If you go to Honolulu on a cruise ship (like me), Downtown Coffee is really close to the dock and you must must have a coffee there! Oh yes, the coconut chocolate macaroons are great also!“
“Lovely friendly staff!.. great coffee and food..We stopped in here several times during a week in Honolulu and were always greeted with warm hospitality. The space is bright and clean, with a cool mural.. the vibe is just a little “corporate” but in a local small business kinda way, so it works..Definitely recommend.“
“Stopped by Koko Crater when I was visiting Hawaii and looking for some coffee beans to take back home with me. The store was closed but the owners wife was nice enough to let me in and talk to me for a bit as she put her other work to the side. I bought a few bags of coffee that were roasted only a few days prior and I've been brewing them ever since. The 100% Maui coffee is one of the most delicious cups I've ever tasted and their other blends are all also exceptional. I couldn't recommend any other coffee roaster over this one!“
“One of my favorite spots to hit when I'm in Oahu! The drinks are always so good and I make a point to try a different one each time I visit. The service is always quick and they have always been very nice. If you love coffee and want to try some unique drinks, give this place a try!!“
“Love this place! It's near my job, so I go almost every day. Parking isn't all that great during the workday, but I walk it, so it's not too bad. When I come on the weekends there is a lot more parking. The staff is really friendly. Love the smell of the fresh coffee.“
“I really enjoy this place for coffee and sandwiches! My friend got the pastrami sandwich (pictured below) and the maple latte. I got the tuna melt (which I ate before I took a pic of) and the sweet & creamy. The sandwiches were really good with the side of chips and would recommend to anyone looking for not so heavy lunch. The coffee definitely hits the spot when needing that afternoon pick me up. I do like my coffee sweet (yes I'm a can I have some coffee with that sugar please) so I wish it was a bit sweeter but if you love that coffee taste (as do everyone) then would recommend!“
“I spent 10 days in Hawaii and had 2 coffees a day each at different locations this was by far the best coffee I had during my stay. The atmosphere is very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The breakfast sandwich I got was all around perfect and made with love. 10/10 recommend“
“All good things. Pour over was good. All the food we had was great. They recommended the breakfast sandwich and it didn't disappoint - very filling. My kids had the Maffle and cinnamon bread thingy. I thought the cinnamon bread was more like a French toast, turns out it was more of a cinnamon roll - good but I would try something else next time. The maffle was the better of the two - it had a good crunch and very tasty with the ube syrup thing. Just wish we had sat in the courtyard to eat vs inside the shop. Next time!“
“The best coffee and patisserie in Honolulu (all of Hawaii infact one the best in US). Their pineapple coconut almond croissant is out of this world and kona coffe is too good. Kona coffee destroyed the coffee for me on the mainland US. I had to take a months break from cidfee to reset my tate buds. The variety and quality of their parties is awesome“
“Kona is just not good and here they have coffee from regions like Costa Rica, Brazil, etc that are actually good. I got a pour over and it was fantastic. Great service and very comfy seating. One of the few craft coffee shops on the entire island.“
