“I only found out about Wai Kai a month ago after a friend bought a condo nearby. Since that time, my family and I have been back numerous times to eat at all of their restaurants and attend their Farmer's market. All of the food is outstanding which is why we even went back twice in one day to eat at 2 of their restaurants. They have amazing staff from their manager, Keith, their cooks, and their waiters and waitresses. This place is a hidden gem because it's a family friendly place that has the atmosphere of Waikiki without the crime or crowds. Both kids and adults can come and have a great time whether it's doing a water sport, eating in one of their excellent restaurants, or relaxing on their lawn during the Farmer's market where they have a wide variety of food and local products to choose from.“

“The staff is friendly very attentive. Lots of options to choose from. I would not order the Asian dishes here like the Pad Thai or the curry (go to a Thai restaurant for that) if I were to do it again I would go for the specials at this restaurant like the Lamb Wellington. I would come back again, too bad it’s our last day here in paradise. I would recommend the lemon tart very good. The chocolate pyramid is nothing special, just mousse and chocolate cake. “It was just okay. The flight of pancakes looked amazing, but it tasted just OK. None of the toppings really had a standout flavor. The ube had no taste, except the pancake itself which was chocolate tasted of generic chocolate. The other 2 were a bit yummier, but had an undercooked taste, like raw dough. It seemed cooked throughout, despite that taste. We also ordered waffles, and that was much better tasting. Service was decent, the young lady serving us was kind enough to replace my coffee after a bug flew in it. Food came out pretty fast as well. Price is fair for Hawaii.“

“Got breakfast twice. The first time one of the waitresses was singing oldies it was so much fun, and we got to see two submarines one leaving and one coming in. Great atmosphere nice surroundings. After breakfast we went for a walk on the path right outside the restaurant. That was fun too.“

“This area of Kalihi desperately needed a cafe and these guys came through. Walking distance coffee is something I needed in my life. Convenient toiletries and a killer food selection. All the accessories and apparel are nice to have around too“

“Tea Cafe in Tea Cafe is a quick stop for drinks but comes with a few small annoyances. Parking is handled through an app and is supposed to be free for the first two hours. Somehow I still got charged $9.99 which felt bogus and instantly took some of the joy out of what should have been a simple visit.

The shop itself is pretty small so it feels more like a grab your drinks and go kind of place rather than somewhere you hang out for a while. Drink prices range from about $4.50 to $9 depending on what you order which feels fair for boba and specialty drinks. Drinks were delicious!

We tried the watermelon pina colada chocolate and Thai tea. All of them were good and refreshing with the Thai tea being the standout. The flavors were solid and exactly what you want when you are craving something sweet and cold.

“Once again being from Hawaii ,Rockys in WAIPAHU is a must for breakfast and lunch. I've been going to Rockys since I was a kid. The ladies there are like aunties. And the 1 gentleman doesn't talk much but he's a great cook.
She's tucked away on Waipahu Depot St. Old school . Parking on weekends is a little hard to get, but you might get lucky road side.“

Great location, parking, outdoor seating (kid and dog friendly), and a solid, healthy menu. I had the vegetarian burrito with tofu, and scarfed it down before remembering to take a picture. That's how good it was. A trickier proposition when it's raining, but that's also when the flies leave the area.“

Discount store has candy, household products (cleaning, kitchen, hygiene, etc), writing supplies (pens, crayons, coloring books, etc)....all brand name.
