“I am a fan of Himalayan Kitchen in Kaimuki, and had lunch in Kailua at their restaurant today.
The food was GREAT! We had Samosas and Papadam to start - the papadam flavors were perfect and nice and crispy! The samosa were great and I especially loved the cilantro sauce.
We then had Lamb Madras, Saag Paneer and Beghan Barta, all were delicious.
My friend likes mild, and I like spicy so Jay, our server brought me a little dish of the BEST hot sauce!
Jay was attentive and really accommodating. I can't wait to eat there again soon!“

“If you have never tried 'Namaste Indian & Nepalese Cuisine' in Honolulu - you should have no hesitation whatsoever about ordering from here - it's 12/10 delicious! I had it for the first time tonight - hands down one of the best meals I've ever had! Lamb Masala & the Rogan Josh lamb dish was phenomenal. Naan was freshly made. Meat was SO tender. You definitely can tell that the ingredients are high quality with health benefits & cooked with a lotta love. I regret not ordering more (especially the mango lassi mmm...) I honestly could eat from here everyday & not feel guilty. This is the type of food that will heal you from the inside out lol. Fresh - healthy REAL food - tons of amazing flavors - warms the soul! Just added to my Top 5 favorites on Oahu! Go order now!!“

“Ths food was delicious and the service was quick. Our host Ali was very charismatic and gave us many laughs. I suggest getting the chicken tikka masala or butter chicken if you are unsure what to get; It's a solid choice! I highly recommend this restaurant and hope you enjoy it as much as I did!“

My significant other and I have Spice Up every week. Yup, we can’t stay away from it. Coming from foodies who eat out a lot, no restaurant has topped Spice Up. This is our favorite restaurant on Oahu and we always make it a point to come back for serotonin and a homey date night. We order butter chicken, garlic cheese naan, and try to get a new dish at almost every visit. Sure a butter chicken might make us basic, but it sure does the job. It’s fantastic every single time. Staff are so friendly. Spice up serves top quality food and is worth every penny.“

“I stopped by Lasoon while visiting the Paradise Palms Café area at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa campus, and it turned out to be a great place to grab flavorful Indian food in a casual setting.
Lasoon operates inside the Paradise Palms food court, which has a relaxed campus atmosphere with several different food vendors in one space. The environment feels very laid back, with students, faculty, and visitors stopping in for quick meals between classes or meetings.
The menu focuses on Indian comfort dishes such as curries, rice plates, and other traditional items. The flavors are bold and aromatic, with spices that give the dishes depth without overwhelming heat. The sauces pair well with the rice and create a balanced, satisfying meal.
One thing that stood out to me was how approachable the food is. The dishes maintain traditional Indian flavor profiles while still being easy for a wide range of diners to enjoy.
Service was quick and efficient, which fits well with the food court style setup where most people are looking for a good meal without a long wait.
Overall, Lasoon is a great option if you are on the UH Mānoa campus and want something flavorful and different from the typical quick-service options. It offers a solid introduction to Indian cuisine in a relaxed campus setting.“
“This is a takeaway restaurant, with the most lovely owners who always take the best care of you & your food. The food is scrumptious, and hearty. Myself & coworker frequent Komala's, and we are able to order catering trays for office lunches as well. It's so wonderful having such a nice place so close.“

“I’ve been wanting to go to this place for a while and was so happy that I finally did!Ganesh Dosa does not disappoint! They had so many different types of vegan crêpes or Dosa to choose from. I had one that was filled with potatoes and spices and it was so good and cooked to perfection. I also had a peanut butter and jelly cookie that was vegan and I was gonna say for dessert but it did not make it two minutes out of the parking lot. The place has a cute ambience if you wanna go for lunch with your friends or the orders are really quick and you can just pop in and order a dinner or meal and it’ll be ready in minutes so you can take it home. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable, especially about vegans. They did have one item that would not be vegan, which would be real Nutella in a crêpe, but I asked if I brought some vegan type of Nutella in if that could be used instead and they said no problem. There’s also a really cute chocolate shop next door that sells vegan chocolate and a couple of vintage shops nearby that were closed but I would love to check out another day when they’re open. It’s a great location, great food, great service, and a great treat to have.“
