“a longtime established place great people food and karaoke..always a blast”
“Found this random truck along the side of the road and was probably the best açaí bowls we had in Hawaii. Added crushed Oreos and peanut butter. No frills bowl really but simple and fresh. Açaí was delicious. Came by the same road the next day trying to get one more bowl before our flight home but was too late ?”
“Yes, we love Bellows. It has been our favorite place on earth since 1972 but why oh why did you cut down so many trees. What a loss! We were there in May and were so sad to see the state of ragged tree trunks everywhere and no shade in which to relax and picnic. Could this not be done gradually with new trees planted on a rotating basis?”

“Absolutely delicious! The tamales are the best I’ve ever tasted. The combo plates with El pastor, Asada, or birria are a must-try. Sandy takes quality seriously and meets every need. Highly recommend this food truck for authentic Mexican food!”

“Always wonderful to have Dave's ice cream. We were concerned about the young man working there... His attitude wasn't good... He lacked Customer service.”

“It's literally a hole in the wall, but the food is pretty decent! Be aware, you are NOT allowed to double up on meat. Portion sizes are good and the service is very friendly.”
“I love plenty of veggies and the sandwich maker really did a good job, with a friendly attitude. I am from Texas and usual price for a footlong sandwich is five to seven dollars Hear the average price was $7 to $9. Pretty good for Hawaii prices”

“The reason we went to Jack in the box is because, on 1st year anniversary, we were to Hawaii and we spent all of our money and the only thing you can afford for the last day, was he Jack in the box. So we decided to go back again for a 30th anniversary. I still love the tacos.”

“Yall aren’t ready for grindz this onolicious! You think you are? You think, because you don’t completely lose your composure over double spam musubi, that you can keep a straight face when chowing the likes of the Pit Stop’s kahlua pork tacos?!?! Pfft, maybe if this were amateur hour! Don’t be lolo! The Pit Stop is the real deal! The whole menu will break your mouth!! Nah, you’re not ready but do yourself a favor and go anyway. You won’t regret it!”

“A hole-in-the-wall place with a ~really~ good burger and fries. Probably the best on Waikiki, or at least the best I've found so far. Generous portion sizes, too. The only knock I can give is it's not "fast" food, like you might expect for a hole-in-the-wall place: Burger was (perfectly) made to order, so it took around the same amount of time to make as it would in a sit-down restaurant, but other than that, it was great. If you're looking for a burger you can grab and take to the beach, this is the place to get it.
Parking: Only parking is what you can find in the garages on Waikiki.”

“Don’t let the exterior fool you, this is no greasy spoon. We had a MARVELOUS breakfast here. All of the food was beyond compare, budget-friendly priced, and the staff is exceptional. Highly recommended. We will be back whenever we are in Honolulu.”

“If you're looking for an authentic taste of Japan with exceptional quality, Tempura KiKi is the place to go. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance exudes a traditional Japanese charm, perfectly setting the stage for a delightful dining experience.
The tempura at Tempura KiKi is, without a doubt, some of the best I've ever had. Each piece, whether it was the shrimp, seasonal vegetables, or fish, was lightly battered and fried to golden perfection. The crispiness was spot-on, and you could tell that the ingredients were of the highest quality – fresh, delicate, and absolutely flavorful. What truly sets Tempura KiKi apart is their attention to detail. The tempura wasn’t greasy at all, and every bite melted in my mouth, retaining the pure flavor of each ingredient.
Beyond the food, the service was fantastic. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. They were quick to explain the menu, making sure I had everything I needed without being overbearing. It made me feel welcome and appreciated as a guest.
If you’re a fan of tempura or just want a taste of authentic Japanese cuisine, Tempura KiKi should be at the top of your list. It’s a gem of a restaurant with an unbeatable combination of amazing food and stellar service. I can’t wait to return!”

“This was one of the best Customer service experiences I have had since living in Hawaii. Today was my 30th birthday and they made me feel so special. The food was amazing and they put a candle on my waffles. Even when we were leaving one of the employees or owners came out after my friend and I and said happy birthday again. I cannot express how wonderful this place was! The food was amazing and my friend and I will be returning! Newest favorite brunch place! Thank you waffle and berry!”

“Bar Maze would be a very high 1* or potentially a 2* Michelin level restaurant if Michelin came to Honolulu. Very good food and cocktails. There were five courses but the portions were larger than restaurants that have 8+ courses. Highly recommend the wagyu upgrade with the bar maze rice. The cocktails were very innovative and would be great if they came from a top cocktail bar. I was very surprised at how good the cocktails were and how well they paired with the food, especially compared to a 2* star Michelin restaurant like CODA in Berlin. The cocktails here were simply far better and more creative. The service is nice and friendly. Not very formal. If you want a very good tasting menu with exceptional cocktails, then you should come here. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.”
“We went to a luau years ago at one of the big resorts with hundreds of other people. We were far away from the action, and it was a very impersonal experience. At Nutridge the luau was up close and personal, with attention to us individually as guests. There were probably only 50 or 60 people attending. We were never far from the performers, who were great. The food was delicious. They even called us back for seconds if we wanted. The luau is high up on the mountain outside Honolulu, with stunning views and a beautiful location. What's not to like?”

“This coffee shop is a gem and quickly became the highlight of our trip! The owner was so welcoming to us and our baby, it has truly left such a wonderful memory for us in Oahu. We went back again and again, day after day! The Açaí bowl, Pitaya bowl, scones, cookie and coffee were all so good. The owner even came out just to say goodbye to us on our last day on the island, it was truly heartwarming! We will miss Pai Cafe so much!”

“This is our go-to spot for a special evening out--family in town, anniversaries, friends getting engaged, you name it! I've been privileged enough to have visited maybe once per year for the past few years and the drinks are always the best I've ever had. Each ingredient is chosen with care and consideration, and the bartenders share that with you so you rally get the most out of it, from taste and aroma, to story and beauty.
If it were just the drinks I was rating, I'd still leave 5 stars, but what REALLY sets this place apart is the staff. They are the best in the business, every time. They are knowledgeable, passionate, and really want to make sure you have an excellent experience that compliments the quality of the drinks.
I want to call out my last visit, where I was extremely lucky to get a reservation last minute, thanks to Justin who was able to make something work. I know they're very popular and reservations are hard to get (and for good reason!), so Justin being able to make this work somehow really shows how much they care about their guests.”

“The service was great. Busy spot with a bunch of good options nearby. The liliko’i pancakes is an absolute winner. The crunch stuff on top and the pineapple in the bites with the amazing passion fruit sauce was giving face melting”
“I had the unexpected pleasure of enjoying drinks and snacks at Obake. We were early for reservations at Skull and Crown. The hostess recommended Obake, which is their sister bar and restaurant, just around the corner. We were seated at the counter across from chef Christian and watched him craft all the handrolls served during our visit. First, the drinks: we had the Momiji, the Will o' the Whisp, the Fallen Angel, and the Feels like Summer. This isn't your everyday bar. The cocktails took some time to craft, but they did not disappoint . The Momiji was their nod to fall, while the Feels like Summer, well, you get it. While each drink was light and enjoyable, my favorite was the FLS. A nod to the Old Fashioned, but light and bright.
The house pickles and Yukari Fries were perfect sharing plates. We also tried the Hamachi, Summer Toro, Ho Hayn, and Bangsilog rolls. The Summer Toro had strawberries in it that paired beautifully with the spicy Toro. The Ho Hayn was served with a small dish of Hawaiian chili pepper water, either dipped in the water or followed by a chaser sip of the water. The Ho Hayn left me wanting more. The Bangsilog was probably my favorite just because it brought me back to breakfast in my Filipino mother's kitchen. It was all the flavors of my childhood in one roll.
Our server, whose name slips my memory, was a delight. She was attentive and explained the concepts behind the drinks she brought us.
Christian was a joy to watch and a joy to speak with.
Thank you for an enjoyable evening.”

“Wonderful and friendly. The waffles are some of the best I’ve ever had. The Kailua Pork Quesadilla was amazing as well. Manu was so friendly and after a nice conversation he gave a little speech and blew the conch as a blessing for our recent marriage.”
