Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice is considered the best shave ice by many, with some calling it the best they enjoyed on Oahu or of their entire trip. This is not just shaved ice, but creamy and fluffy shaved ice with a powder soft, cloud-like texture that is unmatched. The flavors, which seem to last forever, are incredible and super nice. Popular choices include the K’s Kraving with ube, green tea and coconut, or combinations like pineapple, passion fruit, and tiger's blood. The passion fruit flavor is noted for being the freshest ever tried. Adding haupia ice cream in the middle is a delight, and homemade mochi is pillowy and soft. The cheese cap is also described as heaven. They offer a variety, with sugar-free syrups made from just fruit and regular syrups for the keiki. Li hing powder is always worth adding.

The staff are warm, welcoming, super friendly, and talkative. The shop is small and the line can move slowly on a busy weekend afternoon, taking awhile to get the order, but it is very organized. The multiple staff members work hard and are friendly. There is covered seating outside and plenty of parking out front. It is definitely a “return and enjoy” kind of place that comes highly recommended.
