“This place seems to be not well known to Koreans yet. I think Hawaii Shave Ice is one of the best restaurants in the dessert world. (The male version is delicious, but it is not enough in quantity, sauce mixing, or taking pictures. Definitely eat it when the woman is around.) Day 3 in Hawaii But I already ate it twice. “Truly a hidden gem. Ice cream cupcakes?!! Hibiki ice cream?!!Custom two layered ice cream cakes?!I am shocked that this place isn't popping off ...yet. I had their skittles cupcake and hibiki ice cream the first time. For take out, I got my wife the smores and ube cupcakes to go. I couldn't stop craving it so I was back the next week. I also bought a custom skittles cake for a friend's birthday and everyone was blown away by it. I requested a rainbow skittles cake and the meringue was just awesome. Though skittles wasn't everyone's favorite as it is tart. Any skittles fan will love this cake.

Parking: Shared parking lot but I've been able to find parking every time easily.“

My two sons enjoyed a strawberry & chocolate ice cream, & I had me their delicious “black sesame” ice cream. The black sesame is a must try! “Sat outside with a beautiful, direct view of the ocean. Ordered a chicken and gnocchi dish. Never had gnocchi before and was expecting something less dumpling-like and more pasta-like. The chicken and pesto in the dish were perfect. When our waitperson asked because I had left most of the gnocchi on my plate, I explained that it was simply unexpected, not that I was complaining. He notified his supervisor who came to check, and I again said it was not a complaint. He offered to substitute something else, but I was already full and looking forward to dessert. They removed the charge from the bill instead without me asking them to do so. Hostess and waitperson were professional, friendly, and efficient. Pricing is quite reasonable considering that this is tourist central within walking distance of Waikiki beaches. Happy to return another time.“

“The flavors had so many different flavors and I had a couple of the free samples which are great for new customers and children. the line wasn’t very long and the gelato wasn’t all too special but for a medium price range it was a good treat to walk and eat downtown with friends and family. there is areas to sit outside and enjoy the view and nice people of hawaii. I would definitely recommend this place to any travelers-tourists, or anyone that is looking for a little treat in the waikīkī area. the location couldn’t be much better and the variety of flavors make for a great experience I wish there was 10 stars for IL GELATO HAWAII!

“I came with my family to celebrate a few birthdays. I have a slight impairment. In my excitement and content from their friendly service I accidentally placed my drink and it fell making a mess. It scared me, I felt bad, I panicked. The two behind the counter were quick to help and remedies the situation. Without panicking they helped clean it up with a smile while my hands were still shaking. By the time I had calmed down they kindly remade and brought me a replacement shake. I could cry because of their kindness. If management is reading this. Whoever is on the clock at 8:45pm 10/14 they are amazing compassionate individuals.

“Looking for something different for dessert or a snack in Waikiki? Check out this place. Asian style desserts are very unique and should be given a try if you never had them. A lot of times, they are unique twists on American or European desserts. This place is no exception and does it well. I had a mango Dole Whip with a mochi waffle pop. I love the fact that they make the mochi waffle fresh, so you get the hot waffle next to that cold Dole Whip. Great combination. At about $7, it isn't bad considering they are making something fresh for you versus just scooping out something into a cup and sending you on your way. The staff was friendly and showed care in their preparation of my order. There is a good assortment of different offerings, so you'll find something for just about any taste moods.“

“We shared two bowls- the Amazon and the Chunkadelic for two of us for breakfast. The bowls are very large so if it’s a snack not a meal a cup will be my choice. They were both great! Ladies working there were super nice and the service was fast- we were there early so we didn’t have a line.“

“Was charged once for a medium strawberry smoothie with banana added. Cashier was busy making the drink , saw the approved sign but was asked to re insert my card again. I have the receipt for Second transaction. Looked at my bank statement online and saw 2 pending transactions from the same establishment. I called in and asked the worker that there is two pending transactions and that I should give it 24hrs. Well 24 hrs went by and the first transaction that was approved went through. Tried calling the establishment but no answer. I got my refund and the cashier working was really friendly and helpful.“

“I went here with my uncle and aunty and tried the pineapple 5-0 and the frozen hot cocoa, which turned out to be very unique. The creams they used were very tasty and gave a natural sweet taste with their unique taste as described on their title and not a sugar sweet. the attendant was very sweet and friendly and eager to help.“

“This is my go to ice cream shop. All of the ice cream and gelato are made in house. I enjoy sitting in the shop and savoring my minuto scoop (kiddie cone) on a vegan sugar cone. This is a good place to bring your kids. The flavors are unique and the portions that are served are plentiful.
They also sell pints of ice cream and ice cream sandwiches.“

“Fun little sweets shop in Koko Marina that's perfect for after dinner dessert. They're generous with samples, the flavors are so good. It's a little pricey but rent in that mall isn't cheap, so you can't blame them. Definitely the best place for dessert on the East side of town.“

Ube and peach were the seasonal flavors available, though almost everyone ordered matcha.

Original, 2023:
Amazingly creamy, lightly bitter matcha soft serve!
We ordered a matcha shave ice with matcha soft serve to share between 2 adults.
Plenty of dessert to go around.

Ice was a tad chunky and crunchy, not super fine.
3 mochi balls and 1 chestnut
A scoop of sweetened red beans
The soft serve was swirled and more matcha powder was sprinkled on top

This matcha shave ice is winning against my previous favorite at Uncle Clay's HOPA.

First week of March 2023: special flavors are Ube and
Sakura (Cherry Blossoms), which can be swirled together.
I would like to try the Ube next time. Sakura sounds pretty good, but Matcha will likely be the favored choice each time.

Staff were extremely polite and pleasant.
Shop doesn't accept cash, you must use a credit card or your phone (payment via Square).

“This is a small place but has amazing shaved ice flavors. Although I think giving it all the original shaved ice toppings (ice cream and condensed milk) is a bit over-priced ($3 for a scoop of ice cream and $1 for condensed milk), it was still a place I would consider going back to after looking and tasting other places. “Kith Treats is a great spot for dessert after a meal or if you're craving frozen sweets. They blend cereal with vanilla ice cream to create a soft serve swirl and you can get more cereal or syrup as toppings. I'm not a big fan of cereal and ice cream but I really enjoyed the Kith x YOKU MOKU collaboration. They used YOKU MOKU cookies which are sweet and buttery and when blended up, it worked so well with the vanilla ice cream in the form of the swirl and a milkshake. The collaboration has 9 different flavors and it's priced at $12 for the swirl, $13 for the milkshake. They are also selling Kith x YOKU MOKU merchandise and if you get it here, you won't have to pay for shipping compared to buying it from their website. Since everyone's order is custom, it will take awhile to make. The staff cleans the machine after every order so flavors don't get mixed with the order before you.

They are located inside the Royal Hawaiian Center on the street level next to the Kith (clothing) store by Cheesecake Factory. There is a small area to sit with a counter to enjoy your sweet treats but it might be better to find a table or chairs that are more comfortable around Royal Hawaiian Center. For parking, you can park in the Royal Hawaiian Center parking garage and get validation when you spend at minimum of $10. The first hour of parking is free and then it's $3 per hour for your 2nd and 3rd hour.“

“I would really never review a chain like this. BUT only 1 reason. The gentleman that worked last night Friday May 24, 2024, closing shift. Did the best job that I ever seen. Kept his composure, greeted and thanked customers. Serviced a continuous line BY HIMSELF. Which included taking orders, making orders and cashiering, AGAIN BY HIMSELF. Did an amazing job. Not only has to be his own security for safety purposes but wow he deserves a raise. Then he has to close the place alone. Thats a lot of responsibility.
