My family & I checked out this ice cream shop in the Chinatown district in Oahu, while visiting from California, and we are new fans! My two sons enjoyed a strawberry & chocolate ice cream, & I had me their delicious “black sesame” ice cream. The black sesame is a must try! All their ice cream are handmade & creamy with a lovely taste that will want you to go back for more.
Well, I have been trying to hit up this place for years, but my timing and their hours have always been off. Finally was around at the right time and glad I finally experienced this place.
To my surprise and delight, they have black licorice ice cream. I know black licorice is an acquired taste, but I am nuts about the flavor. Of course I had to try it. THE ice cream spot on O'ahu, hands down. He's been concocting all the best flavors for years now. I always gravitate towards the more freaky stuff. I've loved his Tom kha and pizza flavors (yes, seriously!), and also the more classic ones like cookies & tea and Mexican chocolate. I love to go with friends and get a flight of 3 to share. Please note he does NOT allow for samples, so no bother asking :P they do sell lactaid pills at the front counter if you need ;)
