“My friend and I had such a great experience at Gyu-Kaku, and a big part of that was because of our server Karl. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinly kind. He also makes the best li-hing-mui margaritas! He checked on us consistently with out being overbearing. “Delicious food, generous portions, good service. You really should visit if you're hungry in Kaneohe.
You get rice, a protein, and four choices of ban chan (veggie sides like kimchee or cooked bean sprouts).

The ambiance is definitely "greasy spoon", but the food is really good quality, and, since its take out only, you're only there for a few minutes, the dated decor is not really an issue.“

“Don’t frequent this place because I don’t live in the area. Got a barbecue cheeseburger deluxe, fries, and a can of Coke for less than 15 bucks. Burger was good. Fresh bun, fresh veggies. The fries were hot and crispy and not greasy. I was very satisfied.

Dining area was small, but bright and cool. Other people were eating big breakfast combos that looks good. I’ll I’ll definitely go back if I’m in the area. I remember I got a late lunch with barbecue beef there before. That was good too.“

“If you're looking for some roast pork, chicken or duck come here. It's a pick up and go place so don't expect a place to sit unless you find some outside in the plaza. If you're looking for simple, great tasting roasted meat on rice or crispy noodles this is the place. It's simple and delicious. The menu isn't extensive. Other than those roasted meats there's also ginger chicken that I particular love.

The cost of the food here is a great value as well. Each plate I got was enough to feed 2 or 3 people. I would recommend getting a mix of the meats and share. It was all good.“

“My boyfriend (Drew) and I picked up dinner here last night and the BBQ beef sandwhich was amazing!!! We love how the spice of the sauce wasn't too spicy. The pickled daikon and carrots complimented the spice and the beef was cooked to perfection.

We were very surprised by the mung bean tapioca pudding. We were not expecting to like it. Overall, it was not too sweet and had a good flavor to compliment the BBQ Beef sandwhich.

“Holy cow this place needs to be on the map for everyone to try!!! The char siu with the roasted pork combo is the BEST! The pork was so juicy and crunchy. The char siu hit the spot. My husband and I have traveled to quite a few places and never have we been to a restaurant and have had both char siu and roasted pork so flavorful. The only thing we regretted was not visiting this place again before leaving Hawaii. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! “We saw this place food truck place on Instagram and noticed, so we decided to check it out. Let me just say, wow. This place is amazing.

We tried the Bonito Smash Plate, which is basically an everything platter, and it easily fed three of us with extra to take home. Everything was so good. Even for a food truck lot, the whole place had a great vibe, the staff was super friendly, and the food really hit the spot.

The go-to move is the garlic shrimp with extra sauce on the rice. Honestly, that combo alone is worth the trip. We also tried the BBQ chicken, smoked meat, and kalbi, and everything was packed with flavor.

Highly recommend this place. Great food, great people, and definitely worth going out of your way for.“

“If you’re looking for an authentic Korean restaurant in Oahu, Hawaii, this is the place! It’s located in the heart of Honolulu and is run and staffed by Koreans. Inside, it feels like a real Korean restaurant in Korea—the atmosphere is very genuine.

The food tastes great, and the portions are big enough. They soup I had was bit salty. Other than that it was great.

They are just like in Korea. They even serve poke as one of their side dishes! That was awesome and definitely a unique touch.

Tips start at 18%. It has a limited parking spots even though free. I would say this is one of the best Korean restaurants in Hawaii. Highly recommended!“

“Was a nice change of scene. Celebrated Alex 10th Birthday per his request. Most of our family is tall, at the end of the round of golf 2 peoples back were sore from bending down a lot lol.
Also, felt pressured with people behind us being that we were a party of 6, but couples and families were nice enough to skip the hole and go ahead of us.
