“My husband and I recently moved closer to this establishment. We ordered ribs and chicken. The ribs were huge and very meaty. They were also very tasty. They weren't overcooked or dry. I'm not much of a meat eater, but I loved them. My husband swears by them now. The atmosphere, employees and the food make our experiences happy and content. Their choice of beer on tap is amazing. I highly recommend this establishment! Great addition to Wahiawa!“
“My sister has been living on Oahu for 13 years now and I can't believe out of all the times I've visited, I've never tried huli huli chicken from anywhere. Well, I finally got to try it on this trip. We came by on a Sunday at 11 and there was no line. We were doing our own North Shore food crawl, so we got half a chicken to share with everyone. The chicken was so tender and flavorful - even the white meat. Even my niece, who doesn't really eat chicken, liked it. It's also kind of fun watching them cook all the chicken.I'm so happy to have found this place and will definitely be back for my next visit to the island.“
“The guys at the job site. We’re looking at this online me as a barbecue fanatic. I have a hard time getting a barbecue fix in Hawaii that’s just be honest it cost too much to do good barbecue here with that being said Sun, Texas barbecue is true real barbecue, one of the only two places I found in Hawaii and this is the best it is not cheap, but this quality of food could not be made cheaply. If you have not tried this yet what you were doing to your taste buds is unfair. They deserve good barbecue. so I went in here and I ordered everything on the menu half pound or quarter pound of all the meat everything was phenomenal.“
“Tried Seoul Food on Thursday after watching food vlogger Misty of Food Fiend...OMG the meat jun plate so massive! At 1st thought price was high for over the counter fast food BUT 3 people could share w/ medium appetites? HECK family of 4 ...2adults and 2 kids...only down side ban chan No Choice kind of boring... Kim chee, seasoned cucumbers & seasoned bean sprouts...no chapchae or shoyu potatoes I'll be back again from Ewa???Parking: Lots of parking.“
“I never had Brazilian food until my roomate showed me this place. Now it's my favorite. The steak was cooked perfectly, so jucie, paired with some delicious rice. The beans were hitting too! Last but not least, definitely try the guarana. (Signature Brazilian soda) Love this place. Amazing customer service :)“
“Very good food, second time eating here. Today I got the chicken Katsu chicken (curry) first time I came here I got a rice bowl with beef and broccoli. Spam fried rice, and spam musubi. All very good ! My mom got the mix BBQ plate and the meats were very good! Would recommend !“
“Ordered the Mahi katsu. Taste delicious, value for cost, excellent. The plate was just under 14 dollars and there were 4 count um 4 full sized pieces of fish. They have many side dishes to choose from as well. If you are a fish lover, this is the plate you've been looking for.“
“Thank God I used the Google Maps app to search for food after visiting Pearl Harbor and found this place. First, Joe is a delete to speak with. Kind, friendly, good story teller. Double-checked to ensure we liked spicy food because the spicy sausage was indeed “en fuego”. I ordered the ribs and a sausage to try. So thankful I did. Flavor explosion and then a very nice kick. The ribs fell off the bone when I picked it up. Perfect amount of smoke, although Joe said he left them a bit too long for his own taste. Also just the right amount of BBQ sauce. Just enough that it didn’t take away from the meat flavor. Good sweetness to it. The big surprise was the coleslaw. Some of the best I’ve had. This place was well worth the price and a damned gem on O’ahu!“
“I WOULD GIVE IT 6 STARTS. Shaka shake has got to have the best Korean bbq on ALL OF THE ISLAND. The employees care DEEPLY about how their customers enjoy the food. They tell you about which sauces go with which plate. And she even comes up to you and asks how you like it, if you need anything else, etc. this food truck is like a restaurant where you are waited on!!!! Lady in charge is a legend. Pork is phenomenal. Will make this a routine spot. ?????????????? ?“
“Konos Restaurant is truly amazing! From the moment you step in, the warm ambiance welcomes you. The staff's genuine friendliness adds an extra layer of charm to the dining experience. The menu boasts an array of delectable dishes that cater to diverse tastes. Each bite is a delightful journey of flavors, leaving you craving more. Konos is not just a restaurant; it's a delightful haven where excellent food and lovely staff create unforgettable memories.“
“I took my kids here and everyone LOVED their meal. Amazing kalbi, bibimbop, fried rice, and butter garlic shrimp. Service was wonderful. Perfect location near beautiful beaches. Highly recommend for lunch on a beach day!Wheelchair accessibility: A little rocky but yes“
“Order food to take home and we weren't disappointed! A good amount of food (that was delicious) for your money! The yum chicken is amazing! The brisket is to die for and the Mac n cheese is so unique and amazing! Also have to say probably the best Mac salad I've had!“
“[Ray's KIWAE BROILED Chicken] Haleiwa specialty! ? Deeply flavored and juicy furifuri chickenIf you come to Haleiwa, try Ray's Furifuri Chicken! ?It's no exaggeration to say that I went to the North Shore for this reason.I'll be there as soon as it opens, but I'll have to wait about 40 minutes for it to be baked.・Whole Chicken Chopped $16.00With a very strong flavor and smoky aroma, this is definitely drinkable. Chicken is tender and juicy. Grilled chicken is definitely different! ?After returning to the hotel, I will of course have fun with alcohol.I want to eat bueno chicken lol“
“Tried their Chix Adobo last week and it was Great! Will be back for it again soon. Hubby loves their Hamb Steak; homemade patties. Fries are good too - hot n crisp. Will need to try their Pot Roast Pork as I read another Yelper rave about it. As many have mentioned, great customer service, pleasant n polite. Punch card great too; they appreciate return business.“
“We found this place on our way to the north shore via costco (for food pickup, totally worth it since u get a fair bit of Hawaiian local stuff there)Had the heart attack loco loco and shared it with my partner. was delicious, the beef brisket was smoky and a tad bit better than the pork belly. the combination was excellent and just enough gravy to make it a potent combo. We also got caramelized onions with it, worth it, should have also added the sautéed mushrooms (bot are an additional $, but worth the add). It's a small hole in the wall, but so so worth it. Just had a plate from ted's, and this was 10x better if not more“
“Love the food and service here! I can definitely say with confidence that I come here at least once a week. Food is always on point and the service never disappoints. Also, love that the food is usually within 15 minutes. If you're hungry, go for one of their two choice combos. My favorite is the kalbi and zucchini Jun. My top picks are either Mandoo guk sop or the yukgaejang (spicy beef and vegetable soup). They use real fernbrake in the soup.“
“You can also eat in the store, but they give you food in disposable containers. After ordering, it was so large that I had no choice but to go, so it was convenient for customers. I ordered one serving of the special set and kimchi pancake, and 2 adults and a 3-year-old child ate it together. I packed the leftover rice and side dishes well and was able to eat until breakfast. When you order a dish, you can choose four side dishes, including kimchi, seasoned seaweed, stewed potatoes, japchae, seasoned bean sprouts, seasoned cabbage, etc. All four we chose were delicious and both the ribs and kimchi pancakes were excellent restaurants. It was the most cost-effective and satisfying meal during my trip to Hawaii?“
“This place exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was great but not overcrowded for a Friday night dinner.Fried pickles: Spears came out hot and delicious. Only complaint, was the price (roughly $11 for 6 spears)The kids mac & cheese I would eat, it was a generous portion and it was really good (fully expected generic store bought)My wife had the brisket which was fantastic and I got the shrimp & grits which was equally as delicious. We will definitely be coming backKid-friendliness: We came with 3 kids (ages 3 months -6), for a restaurant with a bar as soon as you walk in it was pretty mild. We walked in first to check it out before unloading the car. Standard kids menu and crayons“
“Ok. Found this place in a Yelp search under "Korean Restaurants" and I got to say, it's not a Korean restaurant. It's a local plate lunch place. A good one at that. Even though I live nearby, I haven't tried this place before. I had the mix plate (forgot to take a picture). This is definitely a place to come back to. Things to know. It's take out only. Parking is limited but there's nearby parking and even the small parking lot in front has a quick turnover.“
“This is a humble diner with class in their presentation and taste and srrvice. You are greeted when you arrive shown to a table and attended to fir your order and refreshments - water is important to me and an indicator of service especially when I am thirsty -The multiple- sides appetizer like platter that comes out before our entrees is beautiful diverse and tasty - i love spice and Korean spice is yummy garlicky and chili peppery ?My daughter has less enthusiasm for spicy food - but she has more than a few dishes she enjoys here tooWe were so hungry I forgot to take pics before we started - forgive the almost empty appetizer plate w/ various kimchee, prepared veggies and fishcake - the image is my hot kimchee seafood soup -Located between Daiso and Long's CVS in Pearl City, HI“
“Aloha,Nice walk in the garden for us Kupuna. Some exercise/navigating the course is a plus. My first ever hole in one yesterday. Yippee!!Keep up the good works! FYI, Maybe a wishing well to throw coins into instead of the Koi pond would be great. Save the fish/Koi! Mahalo!“
“OMG has always had the best salmon salad on the island except for this morning. We have always purchased the salad in the evening. It is very crispy and beautifully presented like the photo. The salad this morning was not healthy nor edible. It was unevenly salted, with some very salty pieces and the salmon was chopped, or shredded into soggy oily pieces. The salad seemed to be covered with the fried oil. Considering the salmon salad is one of the more pricy items on the menu, there should be consistency on the dish.“
“Stopped by here after seeing many of my Yelp friends checking in since I was in the area. Had a bit of trouble finding this place & had to ask a kind woman waiting outside of Safeway. It is located closer to Subway. I had many errands to run so only purchased roast pork today. I was sad that there was only a small piece of pork hanging in the window after the gentleman in front of me bought most of it. Not to fret, the counter person disappeared to bring out more. I wanted to make a knock off lechon kawali for an easy dinner as I had some very juicy vine ripened tomatoes and sweet onions. I generally do not eat roast pork because it is very fatty, but saw the pieces were very meaty. Dinner came out great served with some French Onion Soup. Cringe worthy, but I enjoyed my pieces of defatted pork with some balsamic vinegar since I didn't have any of the traditional Filipino vinegar. Btw, Po Sing does not sell any manapua or steamed buns. Although there was only a rubber duck hanging, the gentleman said he did have roast duck in the back. Only one customer is allowed in the restaurant at a time & there is no dining area...strictly take out. Lots of parking available in the Mililani Shopping Center parking lot.“
“Everything is delicious! Not only delicious, but affordable. May this small little gem of a restaurant always prosper may the hands that prepare these delicious meals have many more years of service to come. I'm not one to take time out to write reviews, but Garden Island Cafe deserves it. Thank you.“
“Been meaning to try Guava Smoked. The restaurant itself is small. Drive-inn vibes with a few tables in the small space at Downtown Pearlridge. The person at the counter seemed like they were the owner and were very friendly. Ordered a mix plate with boneless chicken thighs and pork with mac salad and smoked fried rice. Also ordered the smoked salmon belly bowl. Prices were very reasonable. Our order came out quickly, and served to our table. The meat was very tender and tasty. Great smoke flavor but not overpowering. The fried rice was really really good, and the amount of meat chunks included in the rice was almost a 3rd choice. Smoked salmon belly was also really good. Mac salad was ok on its own but worked well mixed in with bites of meat/rice. Would definitely come back here. I've been missing out. My only wish is they had actual bbq sauce too instead of sambal and chili water.“
“Three reasons why I decided to try this place. First, the place was packed with customers either ordering or picking up their takeout orders. Two, the menu is huge! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Three, the place looks as if it’s been here for awhile, meaning people come back.Hawaiian style plates. Various meats, rice, and noodles. Decent to good food. Very good price for the amount you get. Good parking. Located in an old neighborhood.“
“Had the lunch special, chicken and Terry beef. Okay little dry. Very clean, just the extra charges for container, and sauce I don't understand, I can see if they had somkind of sauce for the chicken but nothing for the price it's an average 3!“
“Food will make you wanna say "yes lawwd" forsure. Fish was crispy on the outside, hella juicy on the inside. Collards we're well seasoned with a kick. Not a big mac n cheese guy, but if you eat here, it's a must. Will be here again soon.“
“Been a Mark's customer for years now. Food is reasonably priced, always tasty & ready in 10-15 min. Usually order the "Spiced Beef w/ Bell Pepper" or the "Beef Tomato" but everything I've ordered has at least been a solid 8/10. Oh, and don't worry if the ordering process feels a little confrontational, there's just a slight language barrier so it's unintentional . Great family-run restaurant.“
“I've tried this place several times and finally got a chance to write a review. I've always ordered the 2-choice(combination) Teishoku and tried different kinds of items. After every visit, I must say, everything was good! The quality and presentation is top notch. This time, I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and Mini Chirashi combination. The chicken was excellent. It was soft, and the teriyaki sauce was very flavorful, not overwhelming. The mini Chirashi (which was an extra charge of $4) came with ahi, salmon, shrimp, tako, and ika. Everything was fresh and tasty, especially when slightly dipped in wasabi/shoyu sauce. Tan ordered the combination salmon and spicy ahi. I had a piece of salmon, and it was cooked to perfection. The Spicy Ahi(another extra charge of $3) was also flavorful. It was more on the creamy side than on a chunky side. Both combinations were served with miso soup and a bowl of greens. Hot tea was also included. The only downside of all my visits was that they always ran out of Ahi Tempura. We came in 15 minutes after opening at 5:15 pm, and it was sold out 5 minutes prior. Hot item!! I would have given them a 4 star, but the food quality and customer service were superior. It made up for that star. It was so good we made a salmon takeout order for tomorrows lunch.“
“I've been coming here for years, it's been a little tradition for me and my mom to drop in for some food any time she comes back to visit O'ahu. I haven't been back here for years but I came back tonight to grab some food and the owners and their daughter (i believe) were so happy to see me. The experience made me feel whole and so good inside. It's not long before these hole in the wall old school food places start disappearing. Appreciative of the smiles, awesome food, and soul I feel every time I visit Ohana sushi. I recommend trying it out if you haven't before, make it a tradition and i doubt you'll be disappointed. If you've already been here with good company im sure you understand what I'm talking about. Much love auntie and unko!“
“No frills, take out Chinese/local food located up in Palisades in a tiny shopping mall/gas station. Always come here when visiting friends closeby. Reasonably priced and you get your moneys worth. Havent had a bad dish here yet. The chicken katsu curry here is winnahs?“
“I've been trying to come here for months since seeing they were voted the #1 Roast Duck Shop on O'ahu. They didn't disappoint! Their roast duck was succulent, juicy, and perfectly flavored. I also got the roast pork ends and it was good but I'm going to try it again when it's nice and hot - I know it will be great. The char siu was awesome. It was moist and flavorful, not hard nor dry. Looking forward to it all again.“
“I was roaming around the Waipahu area and yelp search brought me here. The food here was interesting. It seems like mixed local Asian dishes. Ordered takeout: steak plate with noodles, potatoes, and Spanish rice. Food was pretty good. I like the cheese potatoes. Pricing was okay. Not cheap eats but decent food for the price.“
“I been catering my parties with them for over 10 years & everyone always raves about the food & asks where it's from. They have good party packs & give alot of food. Sometimes it could use more flavor but it's still really good. Of course it's gotten more expensive but still worth it bc they give alot. They let you sub most items, sometimes with a little upcharge. Their chicken wings are one of the best on island, sometimes I stop by just to get the chicken wings with giant fries.“
“Gorgeous views, great service, and tasty food. This is owned by the same people that own the Lanai at Mamala Bay on Hickman, with an almost identical menu. We went on a day with cold rainy weather and practically had the place to ourselves but was told on nice days it's pretty busy and reservations are recommended. We'll definitely be back!“
“Comfort food. Ordered the gau gee won ton soup ? plentiful. Had a lot to bring home for another meal! Traditional mom/pop small restaurant with limited seating. Busy though. Lucky we got our little corner booth before it filled up. Lots of people came for takeout too.“
“The meat is so moist, juicey, and flavorful.I COME BACK EVERY OTHER WEEK FOR THE PORK BELLY, BRISKET, AND PULLED PORK...A TAKE Home set for my get togethers , and for home use.. packed plentyful, and lots of extra sauce..GO GET 'UM!!WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, OR PUT IN AN ORDER AND PICK UP WEN ITS READY FOR THAT ON THE WAY TO FAMILY/OR GATHERINGS.Parking: Right behind the old Toy R Us, Building. Also behind, Down to earth.“
“Hands down, one of the best dinners I've had in a while! Gyu-Kaku in Mililani truly knows how to impress with their all-you-can-eat deal for $67. Let me tell you, it was worth every penny! First off, let's talk about those garlic noodles. Absolute perfection! The flavors melded together so beautifully, it was like a symphony in my mouth. If you're a garlic lover like me, these noodles are a must-try. Now, onto the stars of the show - the meats. We indulged in the bistro steak and the HARAMI steak, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The bistro steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with just the right amount of seasoning. But oh, the HARAMI steak stole the show! Tender, flavorful, and simply irresistible. I can understand why it's a favorite among regulars. I'll definitely be coming back for more of that HARAMI goodness! But the experience wouldn't have been complete without mentioning our stellar server, Isabella. She was on top of her game from start to finish, providing top-notch service with a smile. One of the best servers we've encountered at Gyu-Kaku, hands down! Overall, Gyu-Kaku in Mililani exceeded all expectations. Delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy ambiance - what more could you ask for? Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back for another round of gastronomic delight!“
“So awesome! Daikon radsih side, kim chee, mandoo, kalbi and bbq chicken are my favorite here! Also honeydew and strawberry boba flavors are soo yummy/refreshing, not too sweet like other places! Highly recommend for all your korean bbq cravings??????“
“I really love this place. The people are super friendly & helpful. The selection is awesome for people who love Filipino delicacies. It's like being in the Philippines. They have baka skin, kilawen kaldeng, kilawen baka, bulalo which consists of baka skin & delicious rich slightly creamy bone broth. Mmm delicious ! They also have a lot of breakfast selections which I need to go back & try. They have pancit too. Prices are average. There's a small dining area inside the shop. You'll see their food truck first when you arrive. They prefer cash but do accept card. You definitely won't be disappointed.Parking: Ample free parking available.Kid-friendliness: Children if all ages are definitely welcome here.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs that I can remember seeing.“
“I got to try out Bebot's Filipino Fast Food not at the actual restaurant itself but when they had a stall the Aloha Stadium swap meet. I was definitely excited to see some Filipino food while there. At the Aloha Swapmeet; the food price for Bebot's is based on the weight. We got Pancit, Lechon Kawali and Turon. There was several people lined up for this place and after purchasing our items; I could understand why. Everything we got was quite delicious. The Pancit was good in flavor, the Lechon was lean and the Turon was sweet and crispy. Aside from the good food; I thought the service was friendly too! But definitely found this place to be a great stop at the Aloha Stadium Swapmeet.“
“Many years ago we ate there and the lady was sooo rude that it was actually funny because of her age. But we never went back...maybe 25 plus years ago? Then my husband wanted Kimchee Chige and I only buy it in Kaneohe but we live in Pearl City. My daughter told me that she buys from Jin Joo so I decided to try. It was soooo delicious! Everything down to the Banchan tasted like the flavors were soaked in and not just on the outside. Ladies are so busy and hard working but took the time to explain things for me. I will definitely go again!!!“
“We ordered the shrimp curry and the orange chicken plate lunches. The food was vry gd. Both of us could not eat the whole reg plate lunch cause there was just too much food. We both had enuf for 2 more meals on ea playe lunch. / This is a place where we know the food is gd and plentiful.“
“Went before da lunch rush. Had the katsu curry special of day $12.99. Was big portions, but the curry sauce wasn't on the katsu (but they gave katsu sauce too). I asked the guy if can put curry on the katsu & he did! It was the counter girls first day & she didn't really have a trainer so took Lil long but I gave her a tip anyway bc she was just thrown in front & trying. Was so big I saved half my plate!“
“#9 of 52 (trying a new restaurant at least once a week) This is not a new restaurant to me (but I haven't eaten here in many years) but it is for my guy so we're going to count it as a new restaurant for us this week. I remember how tight parking can be so I actually ordered online so if we couldn't park or find a table we'd just bring it home. There were three spots available when we got there (yipee) so we parked and went inside. There are just a few tables inside and it must have been our lucky day because we got the last table. I grabbed our food and headed to the table. I ordered the half chicken with fries and the Mike's melt. We also got honey mustard and the lava hot as our sauce choices on the side. I do like that they put the chicken right on top of the fries. All that yummy chicken juice just ends up all over the fries. I'm not sure what the fries are seasoned with but they are good. The chicken is delicious! It's fall off the bone tender and the skin is very flavorful. I've never had one of their sandwiches so I was looking forward to trying the Mike's melt. It's dark meat chicken, bacon, cheese, ranch, honey mustard and hot sauce. The bread was perfectly soft and crunchy at the same time. They give you a good amount of chicken so no complaints there. My only complaint is about the sides and sauces. With the exception of the fries, all the sides and sauces taste like they come out of a jar, can or bottle. Yes, the chicken is the star, but I wish the sides and sauces shined too. Definitely give this place a try. It's worth you dollars!“
