“This little place is worth the stop if you love amazing smoke meats and fresh ingredients. Super creative menu, vegetarian options. The cucumber cooler is Amazing. It’s take out only right now but the park across the street offers the most amazing views of the cliffs and the ocean. Find a picnic table or bring and blanket. I guarantee it won’t disappoint. “The spicy lemon garlic shrimp was hot. I couldn't taste much lemon or garlic. Generous helpings of shrimp and rice. The cold, fresh pineapple was a great complement to the heat of the shrimp. Wild chickens, roosters, pigeons and other birds kept us company at the outdoor picnic benches. The little convenience store next door had a good variety of beverages.“

The chicken was delicious - I don't usually like sauces (yeah, I'm the person who eats their chicken plain) but the huli huli sauce was fantastic - I understand why people buy extra. “We have been coming to Kalbi On Fire ever since they opened in 2013. Every time/year we are in Hawaii for our winter warming, we drive up for their lunch plate!!“

“I had such a great experience at Yumyum Tumtum! I honestly enjoyed all the food, and every dish was full of flavor and cooked really well. My favorites were the adobo, pansit, laing, dinuguan, lechon, pinakbet, and the spring rolls, everything tasted authentic and delicious.
Their desserts and drinks were also amazing, especially the honey calamansi juice and LGBT drink, which was both refreshing and fun to try. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the overall dining experience was excellent. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you want tasty Filipino food and good vibes. I ordered Jasmine Milk Tea @ 50% sweet, and my partner got Lychee Green tea (they only have Lychee black tea on the menu, but they were able to swap to green with no issue).

My jasmine milk tea was lacking in flavor. But my partner's Lychee green tea was fantastic.

I'd rate my drink a 3*, as it was quite plain, but my partner's drink a 5*.

Leaving a 4* as a midpoint for our drinks, and also because I feel the boba could be improved - it was relatively quiet when I got there, so maybe it wasn't fresh, but that doesn't excuse anything.“

The only reason for anything less than a perfect review is the way the business operates. They’re only open Wednesday through Saturday, and it seems like they can get overwhelmed pretty easily, sometimes pausing production or closing when demand gets too high. It can make it tough to plan a visit, especially when you’re really looking forward to it.“

With the first bite you could tell just how fresh it was - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Just a heads up, there might be small hard time understanding sometimes due to the owner's accent. But be patient, communication works out, and the food is absolutely worth it. Parking can be tricky - it's one of those places we only go to when we see a spot open. We got lucky yesterday with an empty space, but two trucks swooped in as soon as we pulled in! Despite the potential parking hassle, Pan's Kitchen is a hidden gem. Highly recommend it for the incredible ahi (and hopefully a parking spot)!“

“January 2026: Some workers barely speak and understand English. Depending on who is working the front of house, it may affect your experience and your order. But they are all very friendly. Smoothies are made with fresh fruits, not powder, and you can really taste the difference. The prices are all reasonable for the amount and quality you get. They have two tables that can seat 4 and one table that can seat 6. Otherwise, it's mostly a takeout type of restaurant. It's recommended to stand in line to order even if you're gonna dine-in.“

“I have not had one of these since I lived in California. I feel like they are going away. Still their corndogs beat all. I don't know what it is, but it's not too salty -- it's deep fried to a nice crunch, but still steaming hot and juicy on the inside. Their lemonades are still top notch too. This brings me back to my twenties!!

The prawns were really fresh, and we were honestly surprised by how huge the prawn plate was! No waittime, and the truck is located in a huge parking lot, so it was super convenient. The flies situation can get pretty intense though 😅 Next time, we’ll probably order it to go and enjoy it at the beach.“
