I got the spicy garlic shrimp plate and it was absolutely delicious. The shrimp were big and the rice and salad on the side was a huge bonus.
The garlic and lemon garlic shrimp was good. The atmosphere of having all the food trucks around several large picnic tables produced a cool ambiance, however, if the wind stops blowing the smell of oil frying is a bit overwhelming. Not in a rush to come back but certainly worth the visit.
This ended up being our favorite shrimp place on Oahu and it is so close to Waikiki!

Based on reviews, Waikiki Garlic Shack (Formerly Angry Shrimp) is a beach food truck in the heart of Waikiki. Everything is made to order. The coconut shrimp are to die for, with big meaty shrimp nicely fried and good sides. The garlic shrimp are great, with the original and spicy options both having perfect flavor. The plate lunch galbi and Mac salad are also good. Portions are big, though some found them smaller for the price. It is a great option for North shore garlic shrimp in Waikiki. Parking is impossible, so do not drive. The gentleman working the food truck is very nice. Highly recommend skipping mediocre sit down restaurants to make a stop here.
