The dining experience at RIGO was top-notch. The decor is very warm and welcoming- thoughtfully designed which is always a good sign. Even though we had a late reservation that staff treated us like we were the first guests to arrive. The hostess team communicated with us from beginning to end of our dinner. We travel a lot, and whenever we visit a new city, one of our favorite things to do is find that hidden gem, the authentic Italian restaurant off the beaten path where the locals go.
This week, we've been exploring Honolulu, and tonight we found an absolute gem. Honestly, this is the best Italian food we've ever discovered. Every bite was incredible, and the experience was even better thanks to our fantastic waiter, Mickey.

The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the friendly and warm sommelier made our night even better. He helped us to choose the perfect wine for our meal. We had the Basque cheesecake, seafood paella, and octopus. They have a great selection of old world wines.

Based on the reviews, Rigo is a Spanish Italian restaurant offering an extraordinary and unforgettable experience. The food is fantastic, flawless, and absolutely amazing. Highlights include the jamon bellota, patatas bravas, Australian lamb chops, divine red king crab and jumbo shrimp paella, pizza Bismarck, crème brûlée, and chocolate cake. The pizza is the best ever, and the crème brûlée is also the best. The king crab paella is everything a diner wants it to be, and the pork belly is great. The salmon pasta is very good, and the pizza, calamari, garlic clams, fried egg plant and zucchini are flavorful and cooked perfectly. The decor and atmosphere are effortlessly elegant, polished without a hint of pretension, and the restaurant is very clean. The service is wonderful, with staff guiding diners through the menu and pacing the meal perfectly. The bartenders and their creations, like the Open Sesame and Waikiki Vice, are upper echelon. The restaurant is the real deal and delivers on every level, making for an unforgettable evening.
