“I believe this restaurant is best for two things... their renown drinks and deserts. I found their dinner menu to be significantly underwhelming and flavorless.l which came as a shock as their drinks spoke volumes. Would only come again for drinks and desert...“
“Went to have lunch with my daughter. It was my first time there, she's been there multiple times so I let her do the ordering. Our server Tammy, was very attentive. Filled out Plantation Iced Tea a lot ?. We had the Tomato Basil soup, Crusted Chicken salad and the Turkey and Avocado sandwich.“
“We had a great experience at Da Spot. I liked having the options right in front of us. I had the coconut lemon fish and subbed the Mac salad. Highly recommend both. My wife got the chicken parm I think it was also very good. The rice is great on its own but was even better with the sauces. Great prices for the amount of food as well!“
“Woooow amazing restaurant!!! Really fast and kind servers! Their food was exquisite. My friend brought me here for a late Birthday dinner and I am hooked I love this place. They have 18% off pastas during their happy hour. We were looking at the menu and were debating what to get so we ended up getting 3 different pasta dishes to share. The mushroom risotto, bolognese, and the uni pasta. My favorite dish is the bolognese I love that the pasta was not over cooked or mushy. It was a perfect texture Al dente and the meat sauce was not over powering. I'm not a huge fan of uni but my friend was and that was her favorite dish.“
“This plate just kept getting better and better. It was seriously loaded with so much food (my husband and I ordered the Shaloha Plate and shared it); plenty for 2 people! The food was layered and under each layer of delicious food was another equally delicious side. Our favorites were the falafel, eggplant, cabbage and the rice. The rice was so sticky and flavorful, the falafel was amazingly crunchy and the eggplant was hot and cooked perfectly. While cabbage can often be seen as filler, this cabbage was a salad with a delicious dressing that we couldn't get enough of. We loved every bite!“
“My wife and I booked a reservation at Vein after viewing the photos and reading several reviews on Yelp. So, on Thursday, 4 April 2024, there we were. First, we want to salute the entire staff. We have never seen such a hard-working group. Our meal started with an Aperol Spritz and a Negroni 13, accompanied by Karaage artichoke hearts and grilled Tako. Both of these starters and the drinks were superb. Next, we ordered lamb and Pistachio pasta. The grilled lamb was the best we've ever had, anywhere on the planet. The bucatini pasta was perfectly al-dente, covered in a house sauce of puree and pistou pistachio nuts, Parmigiano Reggiano, and Prosciutto di Parma. This unusual creation was a first for us, and it was exceptional. Finally, we shared Creme Brulee and their fabulous Bread Pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Whew! This place is welcoming and comfortable. We never felt rushed. The Head Chef, Mr. Jordan Harris, was most gracious, taking the time to chat with us. He even added a special gift to our go bag! We will most definitely return! Five stars!“
“I really need to do a better review later but, for now I'll do a quick one. So id get the grilled Pita with Ranch Dressing ( there's a bunch more to choose from including really good hummus to use as a dip) for my nieces which they love to snack on. Then eventually I tried the Balsamic Bowl ( not sure the exact name) but, it was really good. Also, was a lot lighter and seemed like a healthier option than the huge plate lunches in used too. So then I tried something else. I think it was the Super Greek, and that was really good. I really like the jalapeño sauce they put on there. So good. Ooh, even the Hula Teriyaki is good too. All in all, I've tried about 6 different items and if I'd have to give it a rating I'd say probably a high 3 to 4 Start. That's with price, size, weight ( which I notice, lol ), taste. But why the 5 Star? It's the two awesome ladies they have working there that keeps my family and I going back. My nieces even call them aunty. They're so helpful and friendly and I've never seen them get overwhelmed or flustered even when it's been bust, and I've seen them busy. They're always so helpful and patient with people who don't know the menu as well too. I guess wasn't such a short quick review. Maybe no need make an update.“
“I’ve been coming to this place for more than 20 years and it is a treasure of Honolulu. It has an incredibly loyal group of employees. I hope it never changes. Since Covid, it’s takeout only now, but still the food is so good. I always get the fish souvlaki. The hummus is very garlicy and delicious. Baklava is very sweet, but very good.“
“My Uber driver suggested this place. Said it's the best gyro on the island. It's right outside of Don Quijote. I agree, this is the best gyro on the island, and quite honestly the best I've had. Everything tasted fresh. The meat, the lettuce, onions, tomatoes and pita bread. It was so good. I wish I found this place sooner cause I'd ate here more than once. When I come back next month and any trip forward this will be a "go to" spot for me. It is cash only, but you can get cash back inside the market :)“
“Absolutely recommend Orchids at Halekulani! This is an incredible brunch experience overlooking the ocean. Tony, Benjamin, and the entire staff that waited on us were amazing -- they truly made the experience! We had a special request, and they listened and made it happen perfectly. The food was exceptional. Compliments to the Chef and staff!“
