“Good food, friendly customer service, fun ambience. Good place to go, whether you’re by yourself or part of a party. Everyone’s welcome! Not much else to say. It is a small restaurant with a small parking lot, so space fills up quickly, especially on weekends.“

“I stumbled upon this page on social media and I had to come and try the pork belly tacos on my vacation to Hawaii! We actually went on their last day that they were open in the restaurant. The tacos were so delicious. I was so sad we couldn’t come back for more the next day. So we went ahead and ordered some more😅“

“I honestly can't say enough about this place. Having grown up in California where street style Mexican food is king I've been semi-starved for authentic, top quality Mex here in Hawaii. This place has made me so happy. The carnitas is hands down the best on the island by far. The green and red sauces are made in house and are on point. The refried beans are a kind of delicious that I had forgotten existed over the years. Simple yet delicious in an almost technical way. The service is of a non intrusive sort but friendly and capable too. Everything I've tried thus far has been incredible. Just walk in. The smell alone will prove what I'm saying. A deeply satisfying meal of the comfort variety. I hope this place out lives me, I truly do“

Everything is seasoned well - the Red rice and the beans are nicely spiced, the pork had great flavor and Char, and everything just complimented each other so nicely! “I was craving some tacos and this place did not disappoint. The amount of meat loaded in each taco was insane and the quality of meat was amazing as well. The salsa had wonderful flavor and a nice kick to it. We ordered a couple of each type of meat (asada, chicken, al pastor). I wish I had a refreshing agua de horchata to go with it. Nonetheless, the tacos were still delicious and I recommend this place.“

“My husband and I came starving after traveling. Coming from LA we have some high standards for our Mexican food. Safe to say they bring the best of Mexican and Dominican food. We got the Kalbi beef taco, panko shrimp, carne asada burrito and carne asada quesadilla. There was not a bite left over!!! I didn't even have a chance to take a picture of our food. Their house sauce is bomb if you mix it with a little sour cream. Def a family joint!!! I'm coming back asap and you should too! God bless the father and two daughters that work there and I hope they are successful in all they do!!“

“If you like great Mexican food then try La Pina. They gave more meat than most Mexican restaurants in mainland. The price is higher but everything is higher in Hawaii. But for the price, the food was tacos and drinks were great. Service was a little longer than I expected but not too bad.“
