“Good food, friendly customer service, fun ambience. Good place to go, whether you’re by yourself or part of a party. Everyone’s welcome! Not much else to say. It is a small restaurant with a small parking lot, so space fills up quickly, especially on weekends.“

“I stumbled upon this page on social media and I had to come and try the pork belly tacos on my vacation to Hawaii! We actually went on their last day that they were open in the restaurant. The tacos were so delicious. I was so sad we couldn’t come back for more the next day. So we went ahead and ordered some more😅“

“Great food, very friendly people, great prices.
Very small to eat inside but they have tables outside. Awesome food to pick up and go. Very fresh and great seasoning. The cooks are very attentive to what you want on your food.
Definitely a must.“

“If you’re on the hunt for legit Mexican food in Honolulu, this is probably your best option.
Casual counter serve restaurant specializing in tacos. Don’t miss the taco Tuesday prices for the best value. Fish, shrimp, and carnitas are perfect. Steak and chicken are second tier, but are cheaper. I wish they had flour tortilla option instead of just corn.
I’ve always praised their habanero salsa as the best on island, but it was weak and watery on my last visit. Really hoping it was just a bad batch and they didn’t change the recipe. They eliminated the salsa bar and you have to ask for it from behind the counter now, which was a bit strange.
The food is great, but I docked a star for speed. I feel like it's too slow for a place serving up street tacos. I recommend ordering at least 30 minutes ahead if you plan to dine in. The dining room is small and a little bland, but at least they have one.“

“The Steak Burritos are the best. I crave them. I just wished I worked nearby. If I worked near Fort Street Mall I would go here everyday. One day I'll stop by after work and get me some food.“

“Good authentic Mexican food, good service! Local style friendly!!!“
“Variety of items. I ordered a pork sandwich and a lot of the contents fell out. However, there was still plenty in the sandwich. Halfway through I wasn't sure if I could finish it but it was so delicious that I did. The soda I bought was delicious also. Never had it before. Sangria. Anyway, the point is I highly recommend this place. Not just because there's not another Mexican place unless you go to Mexico. Naw, I'm pretty sure there's closer places, San Diego probably. Go here. It's great!“

“The most delicious tacos I’ve had in Hawaii, period. I had one chicken taco and one steak taco. Both tacos came with homemade pico and homemade guacamole, and all the salsas at the open salsa bar are also homemade. You add your own cilantro, onions, salsa, hot sauce, and lemon or lime—everything is there. You can really taste the authentic Mexican flavor that you’re not going to get at some of these other fancy restaurants. I’ve honestly enjoyed these two tacos more than many fine-dining places I’ve eaten at here. I wouldn’t call them childhood memories since I didn’t grow up in Mexico, but they remind me of happy memories from time spent in Mexico. It’s a small food truck in a parking lot, a one-person operation, cash only, $5 per taco. There’s one table with five chairs, and napkins and plastic forks are self-serve. If you want truly delicious, street-style Mexican food, I can’t think of another place in Hawaii that comes close to these tacos. 6pm-11pm Tue Fri Sat. Cash only. BYOB.“

“Had the Adobada MexiBowl and it was so delicious! Everything is seasoned well - the Red rice and the beans are nicely spiced, the pork had great flavor and Char, and everything just complimented each other so nicely! And I was able to get it without cilantro (yay!). I will be back! This food truck is YUMMY!“

“I was craving some tacos and this place did not disappoint. The amount of meat loaded in each taco was insane and the quality of meat was amazing as well. The salsa had wonderful flavor and a nice kick to it. We ordered a couple of each type of meat (asada, chicken, al pastor). I wish I had a refreshing agua de horchata to go with it. Nonetheless, the tacos were still delicious and I recommend this place.“

“If you like great Mexican food then try La Pina. They gave more meat than most Mexican restaurants in mainland. The price is higher but everything is higher in Hawaii. But for the price, the food was tacos and drinks were great. Service was a little longer than I expected but not too bad.“

“Really good tacos and they give good portions. They didn’t have beef cheeks, but the pork is really really good! I would recommend the tacos over the burrito… not saying it’s bad but the tacos were so good! I’d definitely come back.“
