I cannot recommend this place enough! Locals and tourists alike should definitely come and give this place a try. You can’t go wrong whether you get the tacos, burritos, or quesadillas. My personal favourite is the birria quesadilla, and I can’t get enough of the homemade salsa!Note: cash only (ATM in the convenience store and Ala Moana Hotel) and he’s only there a few nights a week (currently Tuesday, Friday and Saturday).
Got the carnitas taco plate. Food was excellent. I would have been happy getting this food in California or Colorado. To get it in Hawaii is pretty amazing. Carnitas were moist and crispy, just as they should be. There was a couple fresh salsas, numerous hot sauces, cilantro, limes, etc. to customize things. No place to sit as this is set up in a parking lot, but this is close to home. Just wish he had shrimp as an option.

LET ME TELL YOU. I’m from San Diego and have had some of the best Mexican food offered on the mainland. I moved out here and can NOT find good Mexican food like I’m used to. BUT MY MAN OSCAR (who runs the stand) cooked up some FIRE tacos and a DELICIOUS Birria Quesadilla. Super nice guy and he can cook? You’ll see me here every Tuesday without a doubt.
