“Excellent food and service!! I went there with my two boys march 5th at night. They were so helpful and amazing. Our server (wish I remembered his name) helped us cook our meat since we were a bit confused and kept checking on us the whole time. The food was seriously delicious. Ive been to Korea and I can say this was just as good as kbbq there. I had kimchi stew and it was soooo good! I also loved that it didnt have shrimp paste since I have allergies. They accommodated my son who is gluten free only also. This place is such a gem. It was our last night in Honolulu and Im soo glad our uber driver recommended it. A bit pricey but all kbbq places are. The atmosphere is also nice and I like that everyone has their own booths with separations. The area is close to a main mall and felt like a safe area.“
“The bad first to get it out of the way. The parking lot is small and it's not easy to find street/metered parking. The restaurant was definitely small and where I was sitting there was a drip of water falling from the ceiling. I'm not sure that would pass certain inspections. The good news is the food is pretty decent if you're looking for a more authentic Korean experience. The banchan included kimchi, cucumber kimchi, spinach, bean sprouts, and two types of radish kimchi (white and spicy). I ended up ordering the pork spare ribs. They were grilled, juicy, and lightly salted on a bed of onions. I thoroughly enjoyed the rib and onion combo and the slightly charred flavor from the grill. It was too much to eat all at once so I had to take the rest to go. The location is very casual and the ajumma was nice and was quick to get anything we needed, I'd have to say the food was the most authentic out of the Korean places we tried on the island. And yes, they use STICKY rice, which many other places don't. I'd definitely come back and try some of the other dishes next time I'm back on the island.“
“I used to frequent this restaurant 7-8 years ago when I worked nearby, but after changing jobs, I wasn't able to visit as often, though I sometimes missed it. Recently, I heard that it had a new owner, but the former cooking chef is same, so I decided to visit again. It was just like before - the same great taste and clean atmosphere! The new owner was also very kind. The chicken wings sauce was spicy but not greasy, like it was grilled over a fire, and delicious, so the whole family enjoyed it. The pork bulgogi and generous side dishes were also great. I'll definitely be stopping by more often! Highly recommended.“
“This place you guys gotta check out!! This place has good food!! Kalbi, bbq chicken, jap chae, fried mandoo...and so much more. The mini is enough for one person but the regular can feed two people if your hungry enough. They also have great ban chan ( side dishes) like choi sum and shoyu potato and bean sprout. And even...they have bubble tea inside too... honeydew, watermelon, strawberry and more. Come check these guys out!! It's a little on the pricier side but you get what you pay for...it's a lot of food. Highly recommend these guys!!“
“I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVEN'T YET. I tried the Yooncy Special and the meat jun. Kalbi, bbq chicken, bbq meat and meat jun were all good. Usually I don't care for some other places bbq meat (bulgogi) but theirs is excellent. Nice and tender ... well-seasoned and no gamey taste. Meat jun was also tender and had just the right amount of egg coating. Vegetables were good as well as the Mac salad. Parking can get a bit busy so what I do is I park on the second level at the far end of the parking lot which is at the ocean or Waikiki side. Take the elevator down to the ground level and YoonCY is just to the right.“
“My friend suggested to have lunch here and Boy! This was a surprise in a good way. The food was delicious and fresh. I had a pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides which was Mac and cheese and green beans and potatoes salad. All delicious! The server was very knowledgeable with the menu and she was very friendly. The menu counts with chicken wings and burgers and plenty of sides. Highly recommend this place!“
“I ordered the spicy chicken which was very tasted and with very generous portions. The customer service was excellent as well as the ambiance. I felt very welcome and comfortable at the restaurant and left feeling absolutely satisfied Ms. Kim is a jewel“
“Ive been going here for the past ten or more years. Love their butterfish plate, still got that flavor that I love but the size of dish has gotten very small and the price has gone up. Still a favorite of mine. Gotta pay the price to enjoy what you crave.“
“My favorite korean food in town. Go see Kwon, she's the best. Service is always good and food comes out fast. Gotta go with the typical order of Kalbi Chim, spicy pork, and spicy squid. Their banchan is excellent too. Been coming here for years. Their new location is convenient and has the rooms for small to large parties.“
“This is definitely my go to peppas. Always fresh and the sides are definitely best quality. There's always a bunch of people picking up or even just sitting in. I've seen whole families. And they are quick! I went to GameStop which is a couple doors down for about ten minutes; came back and it was ready!!. Can't beat the portions either ~ I'll be back ~“
“Our third time here.. and overall really delicious KBBQ! The meat is high quality, the sauces are really good, and the sides are house made and great! There are definitely less options than other places, but I feel the quality is higher. Decor is fun, service is good, and overall I will definitely be back. Recommended.“
“They are short staffed so waiter will take a long time to come back to your table. For faster service, wave your hand and yell out to waiter. We got faster service by yelling to get their attention and waving our hands. Food was amazing. Ran out of rice quick. Very beautiful and nice area. Don't be shy to yell out to get their attention for more food or water! Great experience other than that!4 of us came out to $128.“
“Awesome experience! A hidden gem! Must go again and enjoy!Very friendly service, food was amazing, price was decent, lots of varieties on the menu that I wish I had more room for..Family owned business..They don't have chicken, tho they have wagu steak!Their recommendation was for the marinated kalbi and they were right! The kalbi needs to be fully cooked so that you can really appreciate the marinated flavor!“
