“According to my mom, born and raised in Taiwan, she would bet that this is the best dim sum place on the island.
It is definitely a popular spot and the place is crowded at lunchtime even on a weekday; service is fast and food arrives within minutes before you've even had a chance to sip your hot tea.“

“Was greeted by a kind gentleman behind the counter. He saw us looking and opened up the steam basket to show us more options but wasn't pushing us to by his food. I was already full but decided to get the fried pork dumplings. I'm so glad I did. Omg it was fresh, hot, crispy and the filling tasted just right. This place costs a lot less than where I'm from for dim sum. If I could eat more, I would've ordered more.“

“Been coming here since I was a kid and have to make my normal stop at Manoa and get some home style beach food.
Super surprised that the prices are still very affordable during tight times and added different flavors in the baked, have to come back to try more.
The food and service is always filled with Aloha. Thank you for keeping the love in the valley and fixing up the old shop. Looking forward to my next visit. Much love 🤙🫶“

“Wow wow wow wow wow!! The dim sum was very delicious and the sizes were astronomical! I’ve never seen taro puffs, har gow (shrimp balls/dumplings), fried shrimp balls so generous before!! The flavors were all classic dim sum flavors, very delicious. I’ve had dim sum in many places down the west coast and east coast and I’ll tell you this may be top five for me! Sit down order your dim sum on the order slip and wait for the goodness to arrive at your table. Get everything, don’t even think about it. You’ll regret not ordering more! I promise.“

“One of several eateries at Don Quijote. Roast duck and roast pork available hanging on display! Dim sum, plate lunch and dessert 😋. Just happen to try the char siu bao (with green onion)and it was very delicious (not fatty nor greasy) Recommended choice!“

“A typical looking traditional dim sum place. I ordered some basic dim sums to go and they were fine, but nothing special. Each dim sum is about $6. It took a little longer than expected to get my small order ready, but it wasn’t bad. Servers were very friendly.
Vegetarian options: Some options were available.
Parking: Park in the adjacent building at a dollar per hour with the first 30 minutes free.“

“Took my aunt visiting from Bay Area out for dinner. Had some dimsum dishes as well as some dinner entrees. My aunt ordered too much food which is why the bill is in the $50/person range. Quality & taste were very similar to some of the finer dining restaurants in the Bay Area like Mayflower & Koi Palace without the upscale surroundings & upscale price. We had a steam fish with ginger & scallion (could not translate what the fish was) which was so fresh & flavorful. Only disappointing dish was the roast duck which was flavorful but was dry. I guess at a seafood restaurant, ordering barbecue might not get you the freshest dish. There are a couple of private rooms available and appears to have karaoke. All in all, a very good choice if you are looking for some good Cantonese food.“

“Happy Days Restaurant located on the East side of Oahu on Waialae Ave. Genuine and Authentic Cantonese cuisine prepared by expert chefs using the freshest ingredients. Unique to this restaurant is that they serve Dim Sum throughout the day into the evening. Signature dishes include Peking Duck with Steamed Buns, Capital Pork Chops, Sizzling Peppered Beef, and their House Noodles with Crispy Noodles. They are very consistent preparing and serving you amazingly delicious dishes. Locally owned and operated. They do an amazing job taking care of their customers. A definite must try for Cantonese food.“

“Great dim sum here at Mei Sum. Everything was fresh, and they have a great selection of ready to eat dim sum. They Xiao long bao was made fresh, took about 10 minutes for them to cook them, but where worth the wait. Black bean spare ribs are also amazing.
Parking is okay, can be found on the street or the parking lot across the street.“

“Went here one Saturday morning. I saw plenty of people here of all ages. Half the restaurant was already full. Dimsum came out fairly quickly and the tea was a nice balance with all the dishes. I also saw plenty people waiting on take out orders. I'd definitely come back for dim sum and their normal offerings.“

“This place had many different things I had not tried before. The jellyfish for example. It was better than I thought. Their duck was excellent too!“

“Ate here with my spouse. Had what was similar to egg rolls with chicken if they were steamed. My husband had 3 buns with BBQ pork inside. He said they were delicious. We shared a large pot of egg drop soup, I had to add a little salt. I had chicken with vegetables, pretty good, some of the pieces were a little fatty. Nothing oily. Polite, attentive service. Bill was about $42 and we left them $50. Dated but clean place. Lots of supplies on tables and counters. Group of LOUD men enjoying themselves but part of the ambiance I guess. All in all, it did the trick.“
