“We made a reservation online, it was so easy to make and modify. We showed up about 15 minutes early and were immediately seated. The mixed drinks were great and not too sweet! I hope the pictures of the food speak for themselves. but just in case they don’t… everything was so delicious and the portions were pretty big as well! Will definitely visit next time I am in the area.We had the following:- garlic shrimp, fried rice, and salad- garlic chicken, fried rice, and salad- green tea ice cream- drinks: margarita, Chibo’s tropical punch, and a Scorpion- I was also pleasantly surprised by 2 complimentary green teasOur total was $120. If would have easily been< $100 if we didn’t get mixed drinks or ice cream, but I’m so glad we did! Don’t miss out if you are in the area.“
“Had a wonderful experiences! Got served by a supper sweet and nice Japanese lady. The food is amazing…feels like eating food in Japan.Food and drink review as below:.Shrimp Dumplings and Gyu Suji Oden have interesting taste. 7/10.Tonpeiyaki is the best egg ever! Fluffy and soft taste, has thin slices pork in between, sweet and creamy sauce on top. 10:10.Salmon sashimi tastes so good so fresh as a live salmon. Best tasting sashimi compared to those Japanese restaurants in the mall area. 10/10.Choya Green Tea Ume also has an interesting taste. 6/10.Got a free soda ume by mistake but turn out pretty good tastings! Probably Japanese soda. 8/10Lovely restaurants, sweet services, amazing food. Affordable, so much worth the prices. Totally recommended this place, open late until 1am. Must try yourself“
“What a gem this place is! Had it last night on the islands and it beat everything we ate all week. Ordered the prime rib eye (cooked to perfection), big island abalone, octopus from Japan, on Choy with scallop, horuman rare, and fried rice. It reminded me the teppan we had in Japan. No frills no tricks just damn good food cooked to perfection. I give it 6 stars if I could. Go try it!“
“I had an 8oz plate for dinner. The taste of the meat is very delicious, the sauce you can choose from, the fresh vegetables, the bagna cauda style sauce, and most of all, the portion is perfect, so you'll be very satisfied. The staff also spoke Japanese and were kind.“
“We had a 6PM reservation and arrived right at that time. We were seated at our table with in a minute. The service and food was excellent.Kid-friendliness: The kids got crayons and puzzles to keep them entertained. They also received a bowl of free goldfish to eat while waiting for the main meal.“
“In my son Leo’s words:My name is Leo I’m nine years old, I recently visited here with my mom. I very much enjoyed watching our chef do tricks! This place deserves a 5 star rating! My food was super delicious and we even got SHERBERT included with our steak!“
“I booked a late dinner for two. It's was so fabulous. We had a wonderful time, the chef was great and prepared our food just right. The service was very professional and courteous. I always enjoy a meal here when I travel to Oahu. The staff are always friendly.“
“Food was phenomenal! My boyfriend ordered the lobster & sirloin and I ordered the Filet and shrimp, both dishes were delicious! The lobster was so buttery and soft ,definitely the best lobster we’ve ever tasted! The Filet melted in my mouth it was so tender and juicy. We had one of the best chefs (shout out to Tino!) He put on a wonderful performance and made us all laugh! We shared a table with another family and it was just an incredible experience. The manager was very nice, and came to check up on us. Since we were celebrating my birthday they put a candle in some delicious chocolate ice cream and sang a song to me. We also had a great server he kept our drinks filled and checked in with us often, I can’t remember his name but it started with an H. If we were to visit Oahu again, we would definitely come back to this restaurant.!Dietary restrictions: They asked everyone at the table if they had any food allergies before preparing any food.“
“I LOVE Teppanyaki Farmer!!! It's one of my fave places to grab lunch when I'm in Ala Moana area. The first time someone tried to explain what the beef roll was I was like huh??! That sounds so strange. But it must be experienced for you to fall in love with it!! Let me explain!!! You can order a beef or pork roll, which is thinly sliced meat and they wrap it around shredded potato (think hash browns before you fry them). This beautiful food lays on top of a bed of fresh lettuce. What makes this so delicious is, you then generously pour on ponzu sauce all over it!!! The potato is nicely cooked and there's is the meat perfectly cooked on top, with the crisp freshness of the lettuce beneath. Oh!! How could I forget?! You must get crispy garlic chips on this as well!!! Sooooo yummy!!! I've heard that the sandwich here is really good so I def need to try that sometime. Only if I can break my pork roll habit lol!“
“The food at Sabb Thai is very good. The prices are on par for the quality and portion size. Got to talk story with the owner. Very pleasant and friendly. The location is becoming more typical of many Honolulu locations with lots of rubbish and homeless around. Unfortunately the curb appeal turned me off for several years as I walked by this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and homey the inside of the restaurant is.I had the no meat spicy eggplant and green curry. Recommended and I look forward to returning.Vegetarian options: Although I had no meat and tofu options, I can not confirm if the base and sauces had no meat or fish ingredients.“
