About Yaki Yaki Miwa

Yaki Yaki Miwa is a small but nice teppanyaki restaurant off of S. King Street that offers authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine. The restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, with friendly and hospitable staff who work hard to serve customers even when it's busy. The relaxing vibe makes diners feel comfortable, and watching the skilled chefs work in front of them adds to the enjoyable experience. The okonomiyaki with seafood and pork remains a standout dish, but many customers recommend trying other menu items as everything cooked on the teppan is delicious. Favorites include Korokoro Seafood, Horumonyaki, beef tongue, and anything with their homemade kimchi. The spicy cold cucumbers and dessert toast with ice cream are also must-tries. The service is great, with polite and efficient staff, though some diners may need to flag them down to order or get the check. Reservations are recommended during busy times to ensure a table. Overall, the experience at Yaki Yaki Miwa is superb, and prices vary depending on the items ordered, offering options to suit different budgets. Whether craving a good okonomiyaki or yakisoba, this restaurant is a must-visit for delicious Japanese cuisine, perfect for hanging out with friends, grabbing a drink, and enjoying good music.

Wow perhaps my favorite meal in Oahu. The food is amazing definitely try the pork tama and grilled portabella. The servers and cooks work incredibly fast and efficiently. If you're able to get a counter seat it's a very fun experience

Call ahead for a reservation

I’m flabbergasted how this place has a 4.4 (as of 5/18/2026)!!! We stumbled upon this place in May 2025 but grateful that we did. This will be our go to place in Honolulu. We have been coming here for a year now.
Most of the low reviews came years ago, some even 8 years!!

Walking in I felt transported back to Tokyo. Many of the guests were Japanese. The restaurant was full. The servers speak both English and Japanese! There is limited seating so make reservations....read full review
