“I visited Honolulu this last week and came to this bar 3 times during my trip. The bartenders, staff, live music, and people were all very nice and kind. I am a little on the shy side at first, but they made sure I was welcomed and treated well as a tourist/visitor. I do want to make my way to Hawaii again soon, and when I plan a trip, I will happily be back here. Mahalo!“

“Bacchus has been a staple of the LGBTQIA+ community for many years. It was recently sold and upgraded with better interior and sound. I love that this bar genuinely feels like a community hub for socializing. There’s a lovely balcony outside where you can have talk with your friends and people watch. On weekends there’s a DJ and the place can get crowded (especially on First Saturdays for their underwear night).

The crowd is a mix of locals and tourists. Everyone is very friendly and you will definitely have new buddies by the end of the night. Staff is friendly and generous with their pours (they call it a gay pour for a reason!). Selection of alcohol is good but I never order anything too complicated.
