“Mad Attic Hawaii provided a custom themed desert table at our sons first birthday party. From the get go, Ashley, was very professional and provided a lot of creative ideas to help the table and deserts to come out great. Everyone at the party was very impressed with the set up and I would highly recommend them for any event to add a "wow" factor.“
“Old school mochi store, making fresh mochi every day. Definitely one of the gems on the island and State. You can build your own mochi box or buy a pre-made assortment of most of their mochi selections. They also have pre-wrapped chi chi dango boxes. One is just plain and the other is assorted fruit flavors.“
“These are seriously some fantastic cookies. It’s definitely an indulgence since they are almost $5 each, but for a treat once in a while it’s totally worth it. They rotate the flavors often, so you can get a new experience almost every time you go in. The cookies are served warm, so prime eating time is immediately after ordering. They are also good the next day. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely worth going, if only just once.“
“THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Got two fritters, two mini taro donuts, a cream donut, and a regular donut and the total was like $11. It was damn cheap. Vibes are great. Staff are friendly. Quality is off the rails. Some of the best donuts I've had anywhere. Even my fritter snob of a girlfriend ate the whole thing and was asking for more the next day. Don't miss this gem. Arrive early.“
“Elvin’s Bakery is my favorite bakery in town. I love everything here, especially their cakes. They have a variety of cakes to choose from. Whenever I need a cake for special occasion like birthday, anniversary or retirement, I always get my cake from Elvin’s. They also sell other pastries besides cakes.“
“On 3/8/24 My husband and I were in this area and we stumbled across the food truck and we were so excited. We just had to stop by and purchase some malasadas. ?Located at target ?parking lot towards the rear.We hadn’t eaten lunch yet, so this was perfect to eat as a snack. We got the cinnamon sugar and the haupia. So fresh! ?and truly Yummylicious!! ?In my honest opinion, there is a difference between this one and the main restaurant off Waikiki area. This one was slightly more on the dense side (not terribly dense) which I liked. My experience at the main restaurant in Waikiki was not so great. Reason being it was not thoroughly cooked. It may have been rushed. The inside was still slightly doughy ?and I felt like I was eating halfway cooked dough. It was definitely not pleasant in my mouth, therefore, had to discard it.The one from this food truck was perfecto?. We loved it and we would return here again.Aloha! ????“
“If you enjoy ube flavored desserts this is a place to try out. The ube mochi was tasty. Although if you do not care for coconut flavor, ask before you buy as they include it in some of the desserts. Also this is just a buy and go place, there are no tables to sit at.“
“I went to Ani's Bake Shop early this morning to purchase pastries for an Easter luncheon. It was so nice to walk into the shop and see and get whatever I needed. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in helping me carry out my yummy pastries out to my car. Whatever is your choice of pastry you're not going to be disappointed!“
“Came in right before closing, and Nana greeted us! Walked us through all of their baked goods on display, it felt right at home with Nana sharing which ones were her favorite, and which ones Nana influenced. Spent some time talking to Nana and Cece, and as always, it's great to see small local businesses who want to do good in the community. With paint and sips, and kids baking sessions coming up, it's clear Cece wants to do more than just give us some sweet treats! The Haupia crunches were amazing. And as my girlfriend stated "I could just eat the crust!" And the pecan bar was just like the crunches' crust, and was just sooooo delicious! Go and support them! Looking forward to getting muddy buddies, kettle corn, or Tajin covered gummies next visit :)“
“Great pies! Love the filling to crust ratio on the mini pies. They have a lot of good tasting fillings too! Love the Hawaiian pear and banana cream so far :) Parking and getting there are a hassle. Small lot, construction in that Kapalama area. Wait time not too bad. And the staff is friendly, local place so hard to get to picky with the limitations. Hope they do well and move to a bigger place and make more pies per day!“
“I have ordered two dozen cupcakes twice from Cupcake and Things Bakery for birthday parties and have been impressed both times. The cupcakes are moist, the frosting is light and fluffy, tastes homemade and perfectly sweet without being overpowering. The decorations are hands down adorable and their flavors are fantastic. I told my husband last night they are probably the best cupcakes I have ever ordered. The kids love them and parents always ask where we purchase them. They are a bit on the pricier side but I'm okay with that since they taste so great, and the service has been exceptional both times. My only con is the cupcake packaging is really flimsy and I have damaged a couple in transport but thankfully kids don't typically notice.“
“We have been here many times. The food is French Asian fusion and excellent. The pre fixe dinners are the most economical choice that gets you choice of appetizers, entrepreneurs and one of their amazing desserts. There are probably 20 different patisserie options. All displayed beautifully in the shop. The chocolate pyramid is their signature dessert.“
“Super delicious malasadas! Hands down the original and best on island. We used to like their original, plain malasadas a lot but once they came out with the ones with filling, I was definitely head over heels in love with those. My favorite is the custard or lilikoi filling. Even those the fillings are sweet, it somehow seems to almost balance out the sugariness of the pastry! A super yummy and awesome treat. Not too oily either, and their service is as fast as can be for making fresh malasadas!“
“I am a banana bread fiend and auntie really do be making one of the best banana breads out here!! Not super sweet and I also love the texture of the bread, the right balance between fluffy and dense. ***I got the banana coconut custard banana bread but she also provides other flavors such as walnut and chocolate chips :P**“
“Not sure how to update my other review, but I had another opportunity to visit Brug, but this time around 1015am. There were tons of their special Seal bread. The facial expressions were cute. Had to get two different ones. Hahaha Will be back again for more! Check em out!“
“Place has been busy every time we were there and there is a reason for that. Excellent food and descent prices. Unfortunately they forgot one of our items, which was sad. We called and told them about it and they gave it to us when we went back with almost an apology.“
“I really like this store. I have a 5 star ⭐️ rating because I really love it. The only thing is I called at 1pm they said their Cinnamon rolls were done I had to go back and forth 3 times just to get them. Cause they never make it yet. Workers kept saying 30 minutes I waited more than 1.5 hr. But over all is good. I think the owner wasn’t there. I know if she was there it’ll be all good. Yeeey from 1pm to 4:55 it’s finally done.“
“Located on Sand Island Access Road; open only on Thursdays & Fridays. This is a good place if you want to customize your order - putting different cookies in one box, or if you have a large order. I recommend you call them in advance & set up a pick up. They have about 4 or 5 parking stalls in front of their store. Just be careful when you back out to leave, as you do get huge trucks barreling down the road pretty often.“
“Spanish rolls, fresh and piping hot straight buttery goodness from the back of the bakery. I've tried a few other spots, but none can compare. Prices haven't changed much over the years, and the quality has always been consistent. This is always one of my have to visit before I leave spots. Mahalo Nandings. I will always be a faithful patron.“
“Our friends treated us to some amazing pastries from this place! I devoured the chocolate cupcake! It was dense, moist, and not too sweet. The icing looks think but it's very light. The bunny cupcakes are too cute! We haven't tried the madeleines, sweet cakes, or the stuffed bread yet. Looking forward to it. I gave 5 stars before trying everything because it was one of the best cupcakes I've ever had!“
“Not sure how to update my other review, but I had another opportunity to visit Brug, but this time around 1015am. There were tons of their special Seal bread. The facial expressions were cute. Had to get two different ones. Hahaha Will be back again for more! Check em out!“
“Haven't been to their store front, but have been purchasing their cookies (my fav are the candy bead cookies for myself and the coconut for sending to the mainland) for years, and sometimes their crackers. Saw Alan Wong's article in Midweek about Diamond Bakery saltines as the base for great snacks and pupus from good old days. What caught my eye was not the tuna salad or Kamaboko dip but the (canned) corned beef salad! I had a package of Candy Bead cookies so I tore it open and ate a few. Yummy! I also had the saltiness (doesn't happen often - was meant to be!) in my house, and had just opened a can of corned beef to supplement leftover corned beef brisket and cabbage so I made old time canned corned beef salad! Before eating it with the cb salad, I savored a cracker solo - it was so ono !!! While the salad was good, I truly savored and enjoyed the crisp and crunch of the saltiness with just the right amount of salt even more. Mmmmm! Will do tuna salad or Kamaboko (IYKYN) dip with the saltiness next! Can't wait!“
“Pastries in Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii... I've always wanted to visit Nagoya Bakery... it's an old-school, inconspicuous shop at the beginning of the strip mall, Waimalu Shopping Center. The adventure began when I picked up my friend from her dad's house in Manoa. She was visiting from Virginia. We've been friends since the first grade! I wanted to show her this cool store: VH07V, but they were closed for vacation... so, we ate Hawaiian food at Jackie's Diner. As we were leaving the free parking lot, I saw Nagoya Bakery and told her that I never had a chance to try their products. She said, "Let's go!" I parked in front of the bakery and we entered the cozy shop. It was afternoon, and they had sold out of the Custard tarts. Shucks. However, there were still a bunch of goodies to choose from! The prices were quite reasonable and everything looked good! My friend got a haul for her family, and I picked up a Custard Bun and ensemada... yummy! We'll be back - especially since the service was efficient and friendly! Thank you!“
“Me and my family go here for breakfast sometimes, and when we do,it's amazing.the service is fast even though they are packed, the food and service are good and fast.unless you are claustrophobic, this place is amazing.dont even get me started on the pie. They have a atm too.“
“Aesthetically pleasing, clean, open layout. Reminds me of the cafes in Korea/Japan. Friendly service. When we walked in there was a long line but it moved quickly. I tried the sea salt matcha latte - ono! Tastes like a normal latte with the added taste of heavy whipping cream with salt. You should try it! Choc chip cookie has oatmeal in it. Very nice and soft. Choc chips are big. Ube pastry looks good but wasn't as much cream inside as expected. Still tastes good tho!“
“I have been getting an Iced Latte from them in a regular basis and I want to say that they have always been very friendly... the coffee is great too. They also have a lot of interesting pastries and deserts. Although I am not a sweets person, the items I have tried were all very good.“
“Love this place. Passing this place, the aroma is SO hard to miss! The cookies are quite delish. My go to is just the simple chocolate chip. I love both the large cookie and their minis in a cup. It's so hard to stop at just a few... I tend to eat almost the whole thing. No complaints about customer service. I recommend!“
“Cute, old school diner vibe. The garlic fried rice loco moco is really good. The house smoked pork belly is delicious but a bit too fatty for me (yes, that’s pork belly). The fried chicken is world class. We were too full for dessert, sadly. Parking sucks, but that’s because this place is good and affordable.“
“We skipped dessert at the restaurant and stop by here instead. They were closing soon so only had a limited selection. The staff was helpful although reserved as if we interrupted something. There was no seating, just enough room for people to browse the counters as well as tables with fun Halloween displays and gift baskets. We got a couple brownie cookies and a chocolate dipped rice crispy treat to take home. The cookies were perfect--crisp outside, soft inside! Delish!“
“Still in the Cali time zone so finding something open in Ewa Beach before 6am wasn’t a fast food chain was awesome! The ladies helped me order and were super nice. Food was great. The shop was clean and organized. Will visit several times before leaving Hawaii ❤️“
