“Amazing waffles and pancakes. The Portuguese sausage is delicious. The Loco Moco was tremendous especially the gravy. The bakery offerings are fantastic and worth visiting when you are in Honolulu. The location is located at the top of the Sam’s Club parking garage.“
“Our office is across the street from the Patisserie and I was urged to get our monthly birthday pastries from them. I called and spoke with Tiffany who was so awesome!! She sent me the menu and helped me with the order, which was ready the next morning. The Guava Danish were spectacular!! But... if they married a cheese Danish with the Guava Danish, that would be EPIC! :) The staff were all very friendly and helpful and our staff thoroughly enjoyed the pastries! Mahalo Tiffany! We will be back, that's for sure!“
“What a wonderful find. Yummy samples and helpful and friendly staff. The baked goods are delicious whether you're gluten free or not. They have both sweet and savory choices. You need to go here. They saved 2 turkey sandwiches for us to pick up on our way to the airport. We'll be back!“
“Thus place is my 2nd favorite baked manapua place in Hawaii. They have only been open a few years but wow so ono. If you order ahead of time it's fast. Pull up, walk in and pay. If not you will wait in line and most times that line is long.Parking: Parking across the street in garage , first 30 minutes free. If not $2.00 .“
“Kilani bakery is an icon in wahiawa. This is a family run bakery for over 60 years.Turn on my favorites is the Danish custard. It's very full of custard. They have glazed donuts, chocolate top donuts, and the chocolate brownies are awesome. It is best to go early in the day cuz by 11:00 they run out of pastries.Well that's a good sign people love their food. But if you go too late, there won't be much left. We will be back for more.Mahalo, Wes n Wanda Anzai.Mililani Hawaii 3-2024“
“Going back to Hawaii it is always a tradition to enjoy a good custard pie. With Shirokiya and Delight Bakery no longer an option, we were introduced to Epi-ya from a friend. Very happy with the custard pie. Tasted just like we remember from back in the days. Thank you Epi-ya for preserving this jewel from our childhood!! We will definitely be back when we return for our annual visits!!“
“WOW, WOW, WOW, this was awesome. I actually enjoyed this better than the old school spots in Japan (I grew up there) as the flavours were so unique, the mochi so light, and not remotely too sweet. It's totally worth the cab ride from Waikiki. The products have a short shelf life as they're not full of preservatives, but I guess that's why they're so delicious and magical. Even my hubby, who is generally not a fan of this type of sweets was raving about it. We had the jumbo strawberry (better than anything I've had in Japan), the mixed berry (wowza), the chocolate matcha mochi cake (not too sweet, fluffier and lighter than other mochi cakes), and the yuzu flavour (delicious). We were in the neighborhood for an early dinner seating elsewhere and dropped by around 4pm, not realizing that they closed at 3pm! But they ran out and welcomed us in and graciously gave us some samples and even gave us an ice pack for our purchases. Honestly, they've kinda ruined wagashi for me because I can't imagine anybody beating this, lol.“
“Locally loved... Big Island Candies is a classic and it's because they know how to capture us with their cookies that I remember back in the day I had to go Big Island to satisfy my cravings. So blessed to have them here in Ala Moana Center right now on the street level near the Centerstage with a sample greeting right at the door it's obvious we come here for various occasions including bring back their almond shortbread for the Lunar New Year and now with Sakura shaped cookies as the one sprinkled in pink sugar brings out the feeling of Spring. Various boxes and cute bags making it a great gift for anyone and the vibe in this store is quite crowded but with clear information of each item displayed making it easy to browse you're sure to leave here with a smile. Thank you!“
“The cookies are expensive, but we tried them during our visit to Maui and liked them, so we bought them again during this trip. They offer a few samples. You can buy preboxed cookies or create your own. We got 30 cookies, including tax, for around $32. The white chocolate coconut flavor tastes the best; it's my personal favorite. Additionally, the butter, pineapple, and guava flavors are also good.“
“Old school mochi store, making fresh mochi every day. Definitely one of the gems on the island and State. You can build your own mochi box or buy a pre-made assortment of most of their mochi selections. They also have pre-wrapped chi chi dango boxes. One is just plain and the other is assorted fruit flavors.“
“After hiking Moana Falls, hubby and I needed some coffee. Saw this spot on Yelp and was rated well and I wanted to see why. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman and he talked to us about how they make their own unsweetened organic almond milk (which is not the norm at coffee spots!). Ordered 2 iced lattes with almond milk (extra charge for that) and a lilikoi bar. Almond milk was nice and creamy in the latte and the coffee itself was strong. Lilikoi bar was pretty tasty. I would recommend coming here to support this local business!“
“These are seriously some fantastic cookies. It’s definitely an indulgence since they are almost $5 each, but for a treat once in a while it’s totally worth it. They rotate the flavors often, so you can get a new experience almost every time you go in. The cookies are served warm, so prime eating time is immediately after ordering. They are also good the next day. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely worth going, if only just once.“
“It's a bakery, and I went there twice to eat Loco Moco. A large hamburger steak is served and topped with plenty of gravy. It would be nice to have some kimchi or pickles since I get a bit bitten when I eat it. ? Aperitif bread is also provided, and it is really crispy, moist and has a steamy taste.“
“THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Got two fritters, two mini taro donuts, a cream donut, and a regular donut and the total was like $11. It was damn cheap. Vibes are great. Staff are friendly. Quality is off the rails. Some of the best donuts I've had anywhere. Even my fritter snob of a girlfriend ate the whole thing and was asking for more the next day. Don't miss this gem. Arrive early.“
“Elvin’s Bakery is my favorite bakery in town. I love everything here, especially their cakes. They have a variety of cakes to choose from. Whenever I need a cake for special occasion like birthday, anniversary or retirement, I always get my cake from Elvin’s. They also sell other pastries besides cakes.“
“After a friend brought me one of their chocolate baskets, I was hooked. You can check out all their tempting bakes on their Instagram to get an idea of how creative the specialty bake shop can be.Everything is delish, but you have to try their umami biscuit - it’s addictive! It may seem a little difficult to find or get to, but parking is right next to it in the Alii parking garage.“
“A hidden gem located on the lower floor of the Medical Center across from NBC Arena. Private parking lot plus ample street parking. They specialize in Cheesecakes, freshly made sandwiches and salads, cream puffs, and cookies. Locally owned and operated, they use local ingredients such as the Vanilla from Laie (North Shore of Oahu). They're very friendly and efficient. Small shop so it's take out only. We arrived just as they were opening and the intoxicating smell of freshly baked Cheesecake filled the air. Simply wonderful, and the taste! Oh my light not heavy, creamy yet not overpowering, with a hint of that famous Vanilla. Incredible! A definite must try.“
“On 3/8/24 My husband and I were in this area and we stumbled across the food truck and we were so excited. We just had to stop by and purchase some malasadas. ?Located at target ?parking lot towards the rear.We hadn’t eaten lunch yet, so this was perfect to eat as a snack. We got the cinnamon sugar and the haupia. So fresh! ?and truly Yummylicious!! ?In my honest opinion, there is a difference between this one and the main restaurant off Waikiki area. This one was slightly more on the dense side (not terribly dense) which I liked. My experience at the main restaurant in Waikiki was not so great. Reason being it was not thoroughly cooked. It may have been rushed. The inside was still slightly doughy ?and I felt like I was eating halfway cooked dough. It was definitely not pleasant in my mouth, therefore, had to discard it.The one from this food truck was perfecto?. We loved it and we would return here again.Aloha! ????“
“Supporting small local businesses is important & I had heard raving reviews about the artistry and deliciousness of Angeltreats for 3 years now.Recently I got to sample her cupcakes for the second time & wow!!If you want a dessert that will garner lots of compliments, smiles, and photos? Angeltreats is the place to order from.Everyone from grandpa to the tiktok crazed teens were amazed by the creativity of Angeltreats’s designs and the balance of cakey-ness and flavor her cupcakes had.?Angel was also wonderful to work with. She responds very quickly and has an efficient intake and pick up system, I am so so grateful to have a baker like her around & will be a long time customer!“
“If you enjoy ube flavored desserts this is a place to try out. The ube mochi was tasty. Although if you do not care for coconut flavor, ask before you buy as they include it in some of the desserts. Also this is just a buy and go place, there are no tables to sit at.“
“My family stayed at the Hawaiian Hilton for a weekend, we walked by this shop a few times, the line was always long. On our last day, there was no line so we decided to grab coffee. As we walked in, the staff seemed busy making coffee for other customers. There were no greetings as we waited. We eventually ordered, chai latte, expresso, and the kids wanted to try the chocolate chip cookies. We received the chai latte and expresso, then waited and waited but no cookie. I finally went back to the counter after 10 minutes and asked for the cookie. The shop got busy so most likely they forgot about the cookie. Nonetheless, we drank the latte and expresso, both were good. My husband liked his expresso, he said it was better than Starbucks. I enjoyed my latte but I will stick with Starbucks. The cookie was amazing though, we decided to get more, plus the rainbow sugar cookie. All were delicious.“
“The shop is at the bottom of the hotel, it's pretty small from what I remember, but what a great way to start the day!We tried different pastry shops for malasada, and honestly, they were all really good. Some probably a little better than others, but it's hard to pinpoint a noticeable difference.I think I actually like those more than I like regular donuts. The flavors are different too.“
“Yipppeee, we were lucky enough to be in town for the Kaka'ako Farmers Market in Honolulu held on Saturdays. There is just too much food available in Oahu and we had been buying lots of snacks. We saw the Wallflour booth and everything looked so delicious. My wife and I planned to buy one pastry to share. Everything looked so good that we ended up buying 3 pastries. We tried a cinnamon roll, a banana hazelnut croissant and a pear osmanthus brioche tart. All three were delicious, light, fresh ingredients and loved the fruits. The cinnamon roll was the right chewiness, nice frosting and cinnamon seasoning. The hazelnut banana filling was actually evenly distributed inside the croissant and each bite was tasty. The pear osmanthus brioche tart was soft, excellent balance of sweetness and taste of fresh fruit all combined in a great pastry. On our next trip, we plan to try more and different pastries. Now that we are familiar with Walflour we can be strategic in how many and where we buy treats to eat.Save your dessert appetite and get multiple pastries on Saturday mornings.“
“I love the pork floss buns from here and their milk tea is one of the best on island! I like it a lot because the boba balls are consistently soft, the drink is sweet but not too sweet (I usually get 50% sugar though), and they don't put an overwhelming amount of ice into their drink! Their mango smoothie is also super Ono - not too icy ... more creamy! Can't wait to come back“
“My go to coffee shop when I'm visiting family in Kaka'ako!! I usually get their roasted hojicha or matcha lattes and a few of their scones. Service is quick and easy and they even remembered me, which is awesome because they definitely are too busy to remember people who visit the shop. But they do! Ambiance is upbeat and modern edgy with a few tables indoor and three tables outside. They have discounts on pastries on Tuesday!!“
“This is review is long over due. Dell's Kitchen is one my goto spots for an affordable plate local/japanese food. I've tried their Kawagoe Karaage, Kurobuta Pork Katsu, and Nori Chicken. The Karaage is my favorite and the most affordable as well. It comes with a sweet mustard dipping sauce, a coleslaw type salad, rice, and some other veggies. The portions are generous. And they have a dining area inside with complimentary water. They also have a sister restaurant next door that serves pasta dishes. Highly recommend this restaurant if in the mood for some good tasting and affordable local Japanese food.“
“I found most of the food in Waikiki area of Honolulu to not be very impressive, but the Halekulani Bakery had such delicious artisan pastries that I made it my regular breakfast spot during my Hawaiian vacation. The tea and scones here were okay, but the croissants and danishes are a must try! They had the perfect level of flakiness, and come of a variety of tropical flavors. The bakery itself has a nice contemporary feel with a large communal table for indoor seating, and a patio out front for those who wishes to dine outdoors. The staff here were friendly.I tried the following baked goods:- Lemon Currant Scone- Guava Danish- Mango Kouign Aman- Salted Caramel Croissant- Pabanan Croissant (Passionfruit, mango & banana)- Raspberry Pistachio Croissant- Big Island Macadamia Nut & Chocolate Croissant- Passionfruit DanishDietary restrictions: Gluten free options available but very limited selection“
“Ordered a passion mango smoothie and I will say that I will make the sugar level higher next time. Overall, it was a very refreshing drink and I really liked the passion fruit seeds in the bottom. The drink was smooth, fruity, and delicious. The location is rather cute being around the corner of the street, but depending on when you come you may or may not find much street parking. The tea shop was clean, bright and simple. I actually appreciated that it wasn't too cluttered with items and their menu had options but not overwhelming. The people were friendly and fast with my order. To me, that's great service considering that you're only getting a drink! Definitely will come back again!“
“Mr.Donuts is an awesome donut shop! Great laterite's and donuts, quick and easy. Get in and get out with great service and he usually offers free coffee. The best Bear Claws and Apple Fritters I've ever had are from this spot! Thank you for the great food and experience.“
“I went to Ani's Bake Shop early this morning to purchase pastries for an Easter luncheon. It was so nice to walk into the shop and see and get whatever I needed. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in helping me carry out my yummy pastries out to my car. Whatever is your choice of pastry you're not going to be disappointed!“
“Came in right before closing, and Nana greeted us! Walked us through all of their baked goods on display, it felt right at home with Nana sharing which ones were her favorite, and which ones Nana influenced. Spent some time talking to Nana and Cece, and as always, it's great to see small local businesses who want to do good in the community. With paint and sips, and kids baking sessions coming up, it's clear Cece wants to do more than just give us some sweet treats! The Haupia crunches were amazing. And as my girlfriend stated "I could just eat the crust!" And the pecan bar was just like the crunches' crust, and was just sooooo delicious! Go and support them! Looking forward to getting muddy buddies, kettle corn, or Tajin covered gummies next visit :)“
“We bought 2 sticky buns, 2 round sweet pecan pastries, and 2 savory croissants. Both the sweet pastries were excellent and the savory croissants were very crispy after putting it in the oven for 3 minutes. Not a lot of filling but good. Great prices 2 for $5 but I had to take away one star for the very arrogant rude service by the server dude with the beard. We waited in line and iso wanting to serve an elderly he wanted to help the young gal behind us so i mentioned to him we have been waiting in line. From that point on, he did not even want to make eye contact with us and he was rude to us. We asked him for the price and instead of just saying 2 for $5, he pointed to a sign with the prices and rolled his eyes. Shame on this young man with the beard for not displaying hawaiian friendliness.“
“Great pies! Love the filling to crust ratio on the mini pies. They have a lot of good tasting fillings too! Love the Hawaiian pear and banana cream so far :) Parking and getting there are a hassle. Small lot, construction in that Kapalama area. Wait time not too bad. And the staff is friendly, local place so hard to get to picky with the limitations. Hope they do well and move to a bigger place and make more pies per day!“
“The perfect cupcakes for any celebration- or just a sweet little treat! We got some cupcakes to celebrate my husband's birthday and they were so delicious! The cupcakes were cute and dainty in their decoration. Each cupcake was distinctly flavored to perfection. We dug into the ube, red velvet, guava, chocolate vanilla and salted caramel. All outstanding! They sell candles if you're celebrating so no need to make a separate trip to the store!“
“The tail gomtang is truly authentic. Cilantro is the standard topping and rice is also served. It's perfect if you have kkakdugi, but it's not a Korean restaurant. I also highly recommend Poi Donuts and Coco Puffs at the Bakery across the street.“
“I have not found a lot of donuts on island that I love! However, Mr Donut def delivers. They're big, they're tasty and so fluffy. They are more on the pricey side but it's Hawaii. Service is always friendly and I've stopped by more times than I'd like to admit.“
“I have ordered two dozen cupcakes twice from Cupcake and Things Bakery for birthday parties and have been impressed both times. The cupcakes are moist, the frosting is light and fluffy, tastes homemade and perfectly sweet without being overpowering. The decorations are hands down adorable and their flavors are fantastic. I told my husband last night they are probably the best cupcakes I have ever ordered. The kids love them and parents always ask where we purchase them. They are a bit on the pricier side but I'm okay with that since they taste so great, and the service has been exceptional both times. My only con is the cupcake packaging is really flimsy and I have damaged a couple in transport but thankfully kids don't typically notice.“
“We have been here many times. The food is French Asian fusion and excellent. The pre fixe dinners are the most economical choice that gets you choice of appetizers, entrepreneurs and one of their amazing desserts. There are probably 20 different patisserie options. All displayed beautifully in the shop. The chocolate pyramid is their signature dessert.“
“I am a banana bread fiend and auntie really do be making one of the best banana breads out here!! Not super sweet and I also love the texture of the bread, the right balance between fluffy and dense. ***I got the banana coconut custard banana bread but she also provides other flavors such as walnut and chocolate chips :P**“
“Super delicious malasadas! Hands down the original and best on island. We used to like their original, plain malasadas a lot but once they came out with the ones with filling, I was definitely head over heels in love with those. My favorite is the custard or lilikoi filling. Even those the fillings are sweet, it somehow seems to almost balance out the sugariness of the pastry! A super yummy and awesome treat. Not too oily either, and their service is as fast as can be for making fresh malasadas!“
“Best coffee and scones in the neighborhood. I've also dined-in plenty of times and always enjoy their homemade Aloha bread , banana bread, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, salads, masubi's, and there's more I haven't tried. Everything is fresh everyday. If you're looking for a cafe of highest quality in the morning or early afternoon, don't skip by this one.“
“The Cookie Corner's Hawaii branch is the real deal! I'm glad you felt that way ?I stopped by because the smell of delicious baked goods was in the air!Just looking at the display of various types of cookies made me feel happy?Once you eat it, you will be addicted to it.The staff were friendly and explained the products in detail. This is one of the stores you definitely want to visit when you visit Hawaii!“
“Not sure how to update my other review, but I had another opportunity to visit Brug, but this time around 1015am. There were tons of their special Seal bread. The facial expressions were cute. Had to get two different ones. Hahaha Will be back again for more! Check em out!“
“Located on Sand Island Access Road; open only on Thursdays & Fridays. This is a good place if you want to customize your order - putting different cookies in one box, or if you have a large order. I recommend you call them in advance & set up a pick up. They have about 4 or 5 parking stalls in front of their store. Just be careful when you back out to leave, as you do get huge trucks barreling down the road pretty often.“
“This week was an extra rotten week, so to cheer everyone up, Brug was delivered to us by my mom. I love Brug. The Matcha Turtles?, Apple ? Cinnamon Custard Danish,Cream Cheese Bomb, Brug curry, Kuma Chocolate Custard and creamy tomato soup are among my favorites when they first opened. Today we had a variety of goodies, each person having their own personal favorites. I don’t know the official name of the baked goods, but i will put a brief description of each one. Very tasty and delicious baked goods offered with pleasant staff. Family Favorite Spot for us!07/05/2023My mom bought me a Kaeru (frog) Choco Matcha Melon Pan. It was so adorable!! ? Filled with chocolate! If u heat it around 30 seconds it gets nice and melty. I really missed the Kame (turtle) Matcha Melon Pan so i was so happy to get one of these!09/13/2023My mom grabbed me a hot dog, curry pan, Ichigo Neko (Strawberry Cat) and a New Limited item I never tried before. She can’t remember the entire name but said it was a pineapple cream. It was so delicious!!! A adorable pineapple shaped pan with chunks of pineapple, cream and shredded coconut!! Yum! Grab one while u still can!01/22/2024Pictures updated!“
“I really like this store. I have a 5 star ⭐️ rating because I really love it. The only thing is I called at 1pm they said their Cinnamon rolls were done I had to go back and forth 3 times just to get them. Cause they never make it yet. Workers kept saying 30 minutes I waited more than 1.5 hr. But over all is good. I think the owner wasn’t there. I know if she was there it’ll be all good. Yeeey from 1pm to 4:55 it’s finally done.“
“Place has been busy every time we were there and there is a reason for that. Excellent food and descent prices. Unfortunately they forgot one of our items, which was sad. We called and told them about it and they gave it to us when we went back with almost an apology.“
“Stephanie was an amazing server. We arrived early although we already had a reservation, they were happy to seat us. Ended up tucked in a corner which was nice given the occasion. We ordered the house gyoza (delicious, very flavor ful), caprese salad (always my fav) and the spring rolls (a little bland) to start. I chose the Pad Thai med spicy with chicken. I loved it, great portion size. He chose the Japanese curry with Karagae chicken. Couldn't end the night without dessert, our server recommended a seasonal special chocolate banana brulee cake. Couldn't get enough even with everything we had. Already made plans to return for more! Mahalo Panya for making our first a many for the books!“
“I have been getting an Iced Latte from them in a regular basis and I want to say that they have always been very friendly... the coffee is great too. They also have a lot of interesting pastries and deserts. Although I am not a sweets person, the items I have tried were all very good.“
