About Bread House

Bread House in Chinatown offers a variety of delicious pastries at great prices. From hotdog and cheese to green tea, every pastry is tasty and a good value. The bakery has decent space, so there's no crowding. The service is prompt and professional, despite some reports of unfriendliness from the cashier. The bread is reasonably priced and of high quality, not dry, with the right flavor. They also offer tasty scones, albeit slightly oily. This hidden gem is a must-visit in Chinatown for those looking for authentic, fresh bakery items. Recent visitors enjoyed the cream bun and coconut cream bun, both generously filled with cream and tasting fresh and delicious. The cookies, especially the chocolate chip with nuts, toasted coconut, and the pecan sandies, are crunchy and addictive. Customers also praised the variety of sweet and savory breads, with some items selling out early, but still offering many tasty options. The mini blueberry and walnut muffins are notably fluffy and soft, even after refrigeration and reheating. The green onion and ham roll was well-balanced and flavorful, while the tiramisu was less favored due to dense cake layers. The staff, especially the woman behind the counter, is known for being kind and helpful. Overall, Bread House remains a lovely bakery worth visiting for its fresh baked goods and friendly service.

Highly recommend the coconut pineapple bun! Very friendly staff! Mahalo :)
Q: How does the bread court his sweetheart?
A: With lots of flours.

Paul C. thoughtfully provided some great goodies from Bread House and they were delicious. I think he probably wanted me to space it out as breakfast for a few days but I couldn't help it. As soon as I saw the hot dog bun, I knew I had to have this savory treat.

A hot dog with that unmistakable institutional taste is baked inside a soft, fluffy bread roll with cheese and scallions on top......read full review
