Fujiya Hawaii offers unique and delicious Japanese sweets with flavors that stand out. The mochi is light and not too sweet, making it worth the trip from Waikiki. The jumbo strawberry and mixed berry treats are a hit, while the chocolate matcha mochi cake is fluffy and not overly sweet. Even those who aren't fans of this type of dessert were impressed. The store itself is clean and bright, filled with attractive goodies. However, the lychee bites were a disappointment, with a rancid taste. On the other hand, the mochi-covered strawberry and chichi dango are a hit, with massive strawberries and soft dango. While prices may be on the higher side, the quality and taste make it worth it.
