WOW, WOW, WOW, this was awesome. I actually enjoyed this better than the old school spots in Japan (I grew up there) as the flavours were so unique, the mochi so light, and not remotely too sweet. It's totally worth the cab ride from Waikiki. The products have a short shelf life as they're not full of preservatives, but I guess that's why they're so delicious and magical. Even my hubby, who is generally not a fan of this type of sweets was raving about it. We had the jumbo strawberry (better than anything I've had in Japan), the mixed berry (wowza), the chocolate matcha mochi cake (not too sweet, fluffier and lighter than other mochi cakes), and the yuzu flavour (delicious). We were in the neighborhood for an early dinner seating elsewhere and dropped by around 4pm, not realizing that they closed at 3pm! But they ran out and welcomed us in and graciously gave us some samples and even gave us an ice pack for our purchases. Honestly, they've kinda ruined wagashi for me because I can't imagine anybody beating this, lol.

I love the clean bright attractive store filled with yummy treats! Tried something new, the lychee bites! Omg so gross! Epic fail. They tasted like yummy chi chi dango with big rancid tin can tasting lychee in the center, That's a big Nope!

My dad got me the mochi covered strawberry and chichi dango for girls day. And the strawberries were massive!!! They were delicious and the chichi dango was still soft even after putting it in the fridge. Not sure how much they were but I would image it was pretty pricey by the size of them.

I'm addicted. The mochi is soft and ohhhh the variety. There's a favorite for everyone in the family from the chichi dango to the filled mochi and the assortment of senbei. Yum!! The store is clean and cute. The workers are helpful and so nice. I'm not a fan of the manju. I tried different flavors and both times, it was too dry for me. I prefer a flaky crust, but that's a personal preference.

Picked up chi chi dango variety pack (Ramune, melon, Haupia, and strawberry), yuzu manju, chocolate and strawberry manju and crunchy peanut butter mochi. The store looked closed, however a sign posted instructed us to ring a bell by the back door. And like magic, the door opened. The lights were off inside! I think they were closed? We were still able to request our goodies. Great customer service! 5 out of 5 stars. Girl's Day mochi orders are being taken. Order soon.

Finally got to visit this mochi shop. I read about them in a AAA magazine article a few years ago. We got a two pack of red bean and a three pack of white bean mochi. At first I picked a two pack of white bean ones and the lady working offered me a three pack for the same price since it's a tad smaller than the two pack. That was really nice of her. Great customer service. Both were delicious. The mochi is so soft and the fillings are not too sweet. One of the best I've tasted. I didn't have time to look at the other snacks they had. I would definitely go back the next time I visit Oahu again.

One of our favorite mochi stops in Oahu!! We come here multiple times during our Hawaii trips and load up on mochi! We love Fujiya for their friendly staff, clean atmosphere & fresh FRUIT MOCHIS! They also have a parking lot which helps out lot.My personal favorite are the lychee bites, fresh strawberry, yuzu passion fruit & sweet potato mochis! Sweet potato mochi only comes around every once and awhile but seriously one of my favorites! They have lots of different chi chi dango flavors as well! The texture is a bit softer than Nisshodo, but the chi chi flavors are more natural tasting / not overly sweet or artificial tasting. We love the mango, haupia & lychee bites chi chi Dango! I wish they had lychee bites chi chi dango bc it's my absolute favorite! They have a great selection of snacks as well we love the shoyu peanuts and shrimp chips! They come in very cute bags perfect for gift giving! So cute and clean!

Good senbei and Chocolate butter mochi very tasty. The strawberry mochi was too expensive for me but other people bought it.

Our annual new years order....pre ordered as you can't get a platter unless you pre order they are so so busy at this time of year. They have two line pre order and walk in, thank god cause its super busy and finding parking is stressful when they are super busy. I normally pick up at the end of the day but this year I had to go early but it was not as bad as I expected, since we pre ordered. Love the new mural on the wall but was so busy didn't want to do a selfie. Thank goodness there is plenty room inside so you don't feel like sardines waiting in line.

Been here many times and this one left a sour taste. Service was lacking in the usual kindness and hospitality that I have come to know. I patiently waited for my receipt as the person that helped me moved on to another customer to be finally given the wrong receipt. I will rethink buying local next time.

I like mochi and dango, but WOW I was extremely impressed with their ichigo daifuku (strawberry). I'd recommend all their mochi options highly, speaking as someone who lived in Japan for 3+ years. Although I haven't ever had mochi from a confectionery shop in the states, and I do not live in Hawaii, so I'm not a Honolulu expert.

Found this place from tiktock and loved it! We had the red bean, matcha and peanut butter mochi. All were delicious! Wish the place had somewhere to sit inside and enjoy.

YUMMY CHEWY MOCHI! Love all the fresh mochi they make! They even have variety packs so you can try multiple flavors. They were kind enough to wrap the mochi and provide ice packs so I could take it on the plane and preserve it the best I can. The customer after me picked up a custom order for what looked like a party favor. What a great idea!
