I called in a order for a cake with writing for my mom's birthday and it wasn't ready. Had to wait for the writing, good thing I went in early. But got instead service, so I was happy with that.

Don't go here to dine in. Spent 15+ minutes waiting for a seat with the dining area less than half full. And when I did sit down, they sat us right next to other customers instead of giving more space. The echo is bad and the sound carries.

Zippy’s is a home staple, and this Zippy’s has been around since I was born. It’s nothing fancy, but it captures the essence of the food you’d expect to eat anywhere in Hawaii. The Korean chicken and Oxtail soup is by far my favorite plate. Portions are reasonable and the menu is vast with options.
There are kid-friendly choices and more recently, every kids meal came with coins so kids could get a toy at their gacha machine.
It’s a no brainer, eat here if you can’t find a place to eat. They are open late, open early, and open everywhere.

Not sure if everyone knows this but "dining in" zippys versus "taking out" is more expensive. I ate at zippys about a week in a half ago and dined in. I had 4 in my party and we had nothing big to eat. Anyways, when we got our check I was like WTH?... Our bill was about $80 and that wasn't including tip. So I went on my app and ordered the EXACT same thing what we ordered to dine in. Came up to about $60. SMH..

We have refrained from going into zippys since our relocation to the island. From the outside, it appeared rather uninviting, which led to our erroneous assumption.
Today, I decided to grab something and was pleasantly surprised to discover that we had been mistaken. Their fried chicken was truly exceptional.
The chicken was perfectly cooked, with a crispy outer layer and juicy meat. The macaroni salad was also equally delicious.
