Had the south Indian platter and it was great. Clearly marked vegan items on menu including two main entrees and several side dishes. Updated from previous review on 2025-04-16
I gave four stars because they have a lot of vegan options and the owner is super nice. I tried the masala dosa and it was tasty but not crispy. The dosas were also good but pretty oily. Still if your looking for good and affordable Indian food this is the place.
We had the vegetable korma plate, comes with vegetables in [censored] it cashew curry sauce, lemon rice and Chana salad and vegan raita. It was very flavorful. Also had the masala dosa. That was excellent. The gluten free crepe was crispy and warm with spices potatoes inside. I would definitely order that again. They also have vegetable samosas and a South Indian plate which was amazing. Food was flavorful and not oily. Would come here again.
Not a great experience at all! We ordered dosas and samosas for dinner. They didn’t disclose that they ran out of chutney which was included as a part of the preparation. Upon asking, they made it seem like we were asking it as a favor and they didn’t have it.
Samosas were bland and flavorless!

This was the most authentic lemon rice ever - absolutely delicious, must try in a beautiful place with lots of food trucks and such a warm sense of community

Excellent service and great food.
Vegetarian options: My daughter is vegan and this was her favorite place to eat, during her summer visit. She made it a must stop before she traveling back to Atlanta from Maui. ❤️

Had their keema dosa - was delicious. Service is great and friendly and the ambience at South Maui Gardens is relaxing and eclectic. Can’t wait to go back and try their other dishes.

This is HANDS DOWN the best vegan plate I’ve had the whole 3 weeks I was in Maui! As a vegan it was very hard to find something delicious HOT and fully vegan but Nirvana took care of me! So much I had to come back before I headed to the airport! Thank you so much for your wonderful customer service and delicious food! ? I can’t wait to get back for some more

I tried samosa and masala dosa. Taste was really good . Potion could be bigger but can’t complain when you are getting Indian food on the island. There is enough seating available

Was every excited to eat some Dosa's in Maui and from a food truck was very interesting. The Dosa's were good; however it did not come with any side dishes and Sambar and Chutney's need to be ordered separately (this is a thing in Maui). For the cost $ the serving sizes are small. We also ordered the South Indian Plate and Vegetable Kurma Plate. The Lime rice was just yellow shaded rice with no flavor. The Chana salad was good. The Chutney and Sambar were ok.
