A great option for those craving South Indian food in Maui. While the food tasted good, the quantity could be a bit better for the pricing.

Everything is definitely on the mild side but still fairly tasty, good quality vegetables in the korma, fresh fried samosa, the chickpea salad is 🔥

Amazing south indian food truck. As a south indian myself I’m happy to say the taste of dosa sambar and chutney was awesome.

Plain dosa and Masala dosa were delicious. Great consistency. Sambar and Coconut Chutney were authentic. It’s really interesting how he can bring the taste here!! You don’t miss the Chennai dosa!!

Not an authentic Indian restaurant. Had masala dosa combo which has masala dosa+lemon rice+sambar + chutney

Chutney is bit ok. Dosa and masala are not great felt dosa batter is not prepared well. Lemon rice shoukd not be called lemon rice, ther is no hint of lemon in rice and felt like plain mustard seeds rice.

Overpriced and tiny portions. This is the first time I’ve ever had Indian food and didn’t have leftovers. The curry reminded me of the frozen Indian food you get at Trader Joes. $6 for naan - plain naan no less is crazy. Probably the worst meal I had on the island.

Absolutely incredible! Nirvana is hands down one of the best food trucks on Maui. The flavors are fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Every dish tastes like it was made with real care and high-quality ingredients. The portions are generous, the service is super friendly, and the vibe is exactly what you want on the island. A must-try—you won’t be disappointed!

Appalled at what they’re passing off as a dosa. It was so raw and uncooked.

Worst dosa ever had in my life. I couldn’t even take a bite. It was just a plain dosa that I ordered. The batter is worst and chutney is made with spoiled coconut. The Sambar that we had to pay extra for, is with so raw masala’s. It’s not even a Sambar. The Sambar from India should be watery. Not blobby.

For the take out order, the guy served the dosa by rolling it in a napkin. Attached the pic. I have no idea how this got 4.2 stars. And we waited 30 mins for just 2 plain dosa.

We stumbled on this place while wandering the food truck area! The owner is so nice! He talked through spice level with me because I am sensitive to too spicy! He had great options and the spice was mild enough for me! The flavor was so delicious on both the South Indian plate and the vegetable korma plate! We will be back!! We went back the next day! Had the samosas and they were sooooo fresh. I normally do not enjoy the way typical samosas are fried but these were sooooo fresh and soft and delicious!! Updated from previous review on 2025-09-24

The food was surprisingly great. I'd even say its better than most of the Indian restaurants in SoCal. The Dosa tasted so good. The owner was chill as well🤙🏼

🌴 Authentic Indian Flavors in the Heart of Kihei! 🌶️🍽️
We were pleasantly surprised to find an Indian food truck serving South Indian delicacies right here in Kihei, Hawaii! The moment we saw Dosa on the menu, we knew we had to try it—and it did not disappoint.
We ordered both plain and masala dosas, with sambar on the side, plus a vegetable korma. Every dish was bursting with traditional flavors, beautifully spiced, and cooked to perfection. Even our kids, who can be picky eaters, absolutely loved it!
The food was fresh, comforting, and full of soul—just like you'd hope to find in a home-style Indian kitchen. The owner is doing an incredible job bringing this rich cuisine to the islands, and the service was warm and welcoming.
If you're in Maui and craving something flavorful and unique, this food truck is a must-visit. A true gem for lovers of Indian food! 🌺🙏
