I really wanted to like this place because I love banana bread and this seemed like a really cute small business. But the banana bread was downright AWFUL. Dry, doughy, undercooked in the middle, flavorless... Basically inedible once it stopped being warm.

A must-stop, the banana bread is SO good! Super dense and moist. Take a gander and watch the waves across the street while you eat your bread, lol. The line was long-ish (this is a popular tourist spot), but it moved very quickly. We also got their fruit smoothie and it was very fresh and good!
Dietary restrictions: Not a lot of gluten free options. My fiancé with celiac got the fruit smoothie. Missed out on the banana bread, poor guy!
Parking: Parking scattered throughout the street. This is a super busy tourist spot as well as a residential area.

This is a nice little local stand to grab a bite of food (limited menu) or a loaf of their often still warm banana bread. If you've made it this far, stop and try the offerings.

This banana bread is easily the best one I’ve ever had. I forget what the sign said it was like no eggs or dairy in the ingredients or something along those lines. Seriously not sure what they are putting in it to make it taste so good. They sold us a warm fresh loaf and it was just so good. Also got a chocolate chip cookies per some other guy’s review and I wasn’t too impressed but it wasn’t bad. Just wouldn’t be raving about it. Next time will just get two loafs.

I've heard so many recommendations for Aunty Sandy's. They are a little bit off the beaten path on the road to Hana, but totally worth the slight detour.
A warm loaf of banana bread was $8.95 at the time of writing this (1/25/25). Could feed 2/3 people as a decent snack, it 5/6 people as a little treat.
Don't sleep on the chili dog either. I snagged one on a whim, and was glad I did.
Coconut chew bar was great too!

If you’re in Hawaii and haven’t tried Aunty’s Banana Bread, you’re missing out on one of life’s greatest joys. This is, without a doubt, the BEST banana bread I’ve ever had!
The moment you take your first bite, you’re hit with the perfect blend of sweetness, softness, and that unmistakable homemade flavor. It’s warm, moist, and absolutely melts in your mouth—it feels like a hug from Hawaii itself. Every bite is packed with fresh banana goodness, and you can taste the love and care that goes into making it.
I’ve tried banana bread from so many places, but nothing comes close to Aunty’s. It’s more than just a treat—it’s an experience that you’ll want to relive over and over again. I couldn’t resist going back for seconds (and thirds!).
If you’re visiting Hawaii, make sure Aunty’s Banana Bread is at the top of your list. It’s hands down the best thing I’ve ever eaten, and it’ll make your trip even more unforgettable!
