Great fish tacos, the coconut shrimp was delicious, the hot sauce was exceptional. I’m staying in Kehei but it’s worth driving back there again.

During a long day on the Road to Hana, Island chef was a much needed respite. 4 adults and 2 kids are not easy to please and Island Chef delivered where everyone was happy. The bbq pork taco was incredible. Juicy with a lot of flavor. I was in heaven after all those hours driving!

We LOVED island chef! 10/10 for your lunch spot on the road to Hana! Probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had.The owner was so kind, he picked the lemons off his tree in the back yard! And these bananas! How cool is that??

This place was awesome! We had the BBQ pork on rice and the fish and chips. Both were delicious and the owner was really friendly and helpful. Make sure to try the chili sauce, and don't forget to bring cash when you drive the road to Hana.

The lovely couple that runs this place were very sweet to accommodate our request for something vegetarian (without meat) even though all their listed menu items wouldn't have worked for us. They conjured a tasty vegetarian taco! The spot is easily found on the Hana highway and sits alongside a gift shop - so it is a great place to take a break from the drive!

This place is a hidden gem!!! Save your appetite and eat here if you’re going Hana!! The owner is an amazing guy and so generous. I’m serious. Amazing food.

Ordered the coconut shrimp and it was quite mediocre. Looking at pictures from 3 years ago, feels like the food quality went downhill. Try the fish tacos or fish n chips. Coconut shrimp was dry and tasteless. For the price, not worth it. Definitely a tourist trap.

Stopped in on the way back from road to Hana, for the coconut shrimp because we heard it was good. Definitely only average, was very dry. Lots of coconut which I didn't mind but it wasnt the best shrimp ever. Felt like a tourist trap.

Maybe skip the shrimp and get the fish taco, which other reviews said were better.
