Stopped at the Island Chef (mm 29) on our way back from Hana and man did it hit the spot! We ordered the fish and chips, coconut shrimp, and barbecue pork tacos and they were all delicious! The couple who run it are so lovely and friendly, won’t disappoint!
If you’re looking for coconut shrimp, look elsewhere. The lady in the food truck told us there was “a lot of coconut,” we didn’t realize that meant “not a lot of shrimp.” It was pricey for what we got. I wouldn’t go back.
Best fish and chips in Maui! We tried a lot and can confidently say this. It is worth driving the scary roads of Hana just for this! The lady who runs this was so kind and the vibes were ?. If you have the chance go here!
