Came from across the island largely for this shave ice. We had 3 very sad, disappointed kids when we showed up during their supposedly open hours and there was clearly no one there nor was it open. We even double checked their hours on social media. Won’t keep our hopes up for next time. :(
In response: we definitely checked Google before driving over and it was not updated. Also on the Instagram page it said closed 10/11, nothing about 10/12. It doesn’t really help to have a sign in the window when we had to drive almost an hour to get there. :(

I love taking my toddler here for a treat! Real Ingredients with no dyes and it tastes so good! Their macadamia nut ice cream is absolutely delicious!

Love this place! It's one of our favorites on the north shore. The shave ice is delicious! And the staff are nice. My only suggestions are that it would be better if there were wooden spoons or biodegradable straws because it's hard to finish the shave ice when it melts quickly and having a trash can outside/at the back would be convenient as well.
Edited to respond to the store reply: I know there is a trash can inside the store. I suggested that there should be one outside as well.

If you are in the area definitely stop here for some shaved ice! I don’t know how they did it but the ice is grated so fine you don’t even need to chew the shaved ice! Just melts right in your mouth! And the flavors!!! Many choices to choose from and you can customize it to your liking! Flavors tastes so fresh like it was just freshly pressed right from the fruit itself! The ladies working where so nice and helpful with any questions you may have! They do take cash or card for purchase. Will be coming again!

Giving this 2 stars is being generous. The two girls working there could not care any less about customer service. We were the only ones there, and the actual shaved ice was not well-packed and melted before I could eat even half of it. Frankly, Bahama Buck’s on the mainland is better. I was really disappointed.

So delicious! I would choose Kaimana's over the popular competitor *cough* Matsumoto's *cough* any day.The flavors to choose from are rich in the best way. I LOVE that the ingredients are natural (no fake dyes ?). They have vegan/dairy-free options for sweet cream and ice cream. Staff is friendly. I love the large outdoor area to enjoy. Oh! The mochi is the best I've ever tried. I'm not a big fan of mochi, but I could eat a lot of Kaimana's.

Oh my what a delicious first time for shaved ice. It was highly recommended by our Hi5 tours guide Yianni so I had to try as I only wanted something light. Highlight of my day on the Foodie tour.
Adorable shop with amazing shaved ice. I wish I had taken a picture of the perfectly round mound of shaved ice and ice cream. Delicious and I would visit again.

Definitely one of the better places for shaved ice as the flavors are strong but not overpowering. You won’t find parts that aren’t flavored but they could be a bit more generous with the mochi. We sat outside and it’s pretty chill there. Lots of lizards lounging outside trying to get some sneaky licks if you drop any so you know even they like it.

Professional shaved ice. They saturate the ice with your chosen flavors. No unsaturated spots. They shape the ice twice to get just the right dome shape and use a straw to make a 1/2 dozen holes to capture and evenly distribute the syrup. Best on Oahu.
