This is a must visit spot if you’re looking for Shaved Ice while on the North Shore. Some great desert options, but the Local is super flavorful, colorful, and a huge portion easily enough for two. Plenty of seating and parking, and your view is of the waters and Shark Cove so it’s a great spot to chill after swimming or before.

Great spot to go to after Shark’s cove. It’s a bit expensive for shaved ice though. The flavors are very good and iced are perfectly shaved. Staff are happy and friendly. Lots of chickens!!

Somewhat expensive shaved ice but it was solid after snorkeling. There are a lot of wild chickens in the food area, some bees by the tables too because of the melted shaved ice. Got stung by mosquitoes here.

Ideal location for when you are done with Shark’s Cove to come by and cool down! Parking lot has many spaces available for you as well, so need to worry if you want to just in from your travels as well.Shaved Ice was consistent with top quality, as the flavoring was numerous in choices. The ice itself was not heavy, nicely shaved to perfection. Portions are HUGE, so get ready to share as well.Worth getting the condensed milk drizzled on top as it adds an element of deliciousness to it. I would highly recommend the tropical mango flavor.Seating is big as well under umbrellas and canopies….get ready for the friendly chickens that roam to pester you a bit; they are harmless though.
It definitely isn't Matsumoto's and FOR SURE isn't Shimazu's. Somehow got a spoonful of ice cream on the bottom, like, a tablespoon of ice cream.

Amazing! Just right across from the touristy MATSUMOTO SHAVE ICE is this hidden gem. I prefer this place because it's less crowded, huge portions, tables for actually enjoying the shave ice, and sweet servers. I loved all the signature flavors! Go to this place and you'll wait less than Matsumoto who's basically serving the same fruit-flavored shaved ice. But i think this is better!

Their staff was very nice and the portions are quite big. There wasn't a line when I got there so it was prepared pretty quickly and was delicious. My one (quite major) complaint was there wasn't anywhere to sit where you weren't harassed by a pack of bees - I had to stand up and keep moving to avoid them and all the other tables were having similar issues. I'm not entirely sure how they should go about fixing this but it certainly made the experience less fun.

Fast and efficient. Not impressed. Syrups all tasted fake, not like fresh fruit. Blue pineapple??? Not a real flavor. Strongly prefer Vintage Shave Ice on Waikiki.
