Surf n Salsa on the North Shore is a solid stop when you want good food without a long wait if you plan it right. Parking is easy if you get there early which already puts you in a good mood before you even order. There is plenty of seating so it works well for families and groups without feeling cramped.
The food is genuinely delicious and worth the stop. We ordered a burrito a crispy taco carne asada fries a quesadilla and four drinks. Everything came out hot flavorful and satisfying with portions that felt right for sharing and mixing things up. The carne asada fries were especially hard to put down.
Prices are pretty normal for the North Shore meaning a little expensive but not shocking. For a family of four our total came out to $92.81 which felt fair for the quality and amount of food we got.
Surf n Salsa is a great option if you want tasty filling food plenty of space to sit and a relaxed North Shore vibe. Get there early park easily and enjoy a meal that actually delivers on flavor.

We got a burrito and the sopes plate! The sopes plate was pretty good but the burrito was nothing special. like another review said it wouldn’t stop me from eating there again!The ambience of this place makes up for it though and I’m sure there could be better things to order that I didn’t get! The staff seemed a little put out to be dealing with customers, but giving them the benefit of the doubt, we all have off days.

Home made tortillas, what else could you ask for so far from Mexico? These guys are on point and super consistent serving delicious food with aloha. Can get a bit busy on Friday and Sat so plan ahead. Standard tacos are 2x the size of street tacos. Definitely a good deal

We had fish and chicken tacos, and they were to die for. The chips, guacamole, and salsa were also very good. It made us wonder why we hadn’t tried this place before. We’ll definitely be back for breakfast to avoid traffic.

Absolutely incredible Mexican food and a fantastic vibe! I enjoyed the perfectly prepared Chicken Enchiladas and the fresh Taco Salad with Grilled Shrimp. But the true star? One of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. This is on par or greater than authentic places in LA. I was impressed that a Mexican place on the north shore had this type of spices and flavor.
