I believe this is the place we picked up a little loaf of pineapple coconut bread ...Service was especially friendly! And the bread was exceptionally delicious!

Fun food spot! Fish & chips, was good! Ordered catch of the day but frying the fish takes away the fresh fish taste!

We made a pitstop on our journey to the Seven Sacred Pools at Haleakala. Butter and garlic shrimp and chips were cooked fresh to order and delicious. At least two cloves of garlic in our six shrimp!

Expensive and they reuse oil. Worst fish and chips I have ever had. The menu selection was minimal. Suggest avoid and go somewhere closer to Hana.

We stopped here around 11am on our way out of Hana, and are so glad we did! We shared a plate of fish and chips and it was delicious! The fish was so fresh and the batter was perfect. There was only one person in the truck so there was a bit of a wait for food to come out, but it was totally worth it. There are big picnic tables in the shade to eat at, which makes a great stop outside of Hana!

Linda was the sweetest lady ever. Her food was delicious and made for a great pit stop on our journey of the road to Hana. She said that she loves what she does because she loves people. She has excellent service and is a one woman show. I highly recommend making a stop here and supporting her business!

Stopped here on the way to Hana. There isn't much food to choose from on the road to Hana. We arrived here around 2pm so it wasn't overly crowded. We had the coconut shrimp and fries. The shrimp were really tasty and you could really taste the coconut breading. The prices are high but the shrimp were large. We enjoyed the shrimp so much that the next day on our way down from Hana we stopped again. The coconut shrimp here was the best coconut shrimp we had while in Hawaii. The one downside as noted by another reviewer is that only one order is made at a time so there is a considerable wait when they are busy. Our second stop took much longer here. Also when busy there is not a lot of parking or tables,

Two things on Island Chef's menu: fresh fish and chips. Fresh coconut shrimp and chips. We got both. While they were both great....the fish and chips was far and away the best I've ever had in any country and any place. SO GOOD. Fish was fresh caught near Hana and you could tell. It's not cheap: $20/plate. But worth it! Make. This. Stop. !

Stopped here while driving through on the Hana HWY. the owner is friendly and laid back. The only thing available today was fish and chips so we can’t comment on the other food. Wish they had the Chinese and coconut shrimp but settle for fish and chips (fries). The fish is fresh and he does his homemade batter, breading was good. Would recommend
