“Drove the road to Hana today and had the best lunch. This was some of the best Hawaiian food I've ever had. We ordered the ribs, pork and chicken plates. All were delicious including the Mac salad. Even if you miss every stop to Hana do NOT miss this stop. They get busy as soon as they open.”

“If you take the Road to Hana, this food truck is a must-stop. This unassuming place has the most delicious food we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing in Maui. Feel like the cook attended culinary school based on the presentation of my meal. A very pleasant surprise.”

“Every time I see the open light, my car automatically stops in for a fresh fish option. Surprisingly, this is one of the few places to find a fresh-catch and Captain Sam's has a knack for seasoning just right.”

“Had both their chicken and ribs on the road to Hana and I'm so glad we stopped. Not only was the chicken delicious, but the ribs were utterly incredible! Huge, juicy, full of flavor, and amazingly tender, these genuinely were some of the best ribs I've ever had. Highly, highly recommend”

“Pranee is kind and welcoming. The food is terrific and the portions are generous. I ate the fried fish drunken noodles and my buddy had the Pad Thai. Both were spectacular!”
“We made a pitstop on our journey to the Seven Sacred Pools at Haleakala. Butter and garlic shrimp and chips were cooked fresh to order and delicious. At least two cloves of garlic in our six shrimp!”

“A must stop on the Road to Hana. Magical island vibes with a covered patio to escape from the daily rains. The coconut shrimp was pounded flat and loaded with coconut breading. They were so kind to let me use their personal restroom (which is hard to find on the RTH). Be sure to bring cash so you can enjoy this delicious lunch spot.”

“The absolute BEST coffee in Maui!
My wife and I LOVE Da Mean Bean. The owner Keala is truly the embodiment of aloha, and serves every drink with a smile.
We got the Hana Highway Latte hot or iced every day we were in Hana. Better than any coffee we got in Wailea or Paia. Do yourself a favor and hit Da Mean Bean if you want truly local, delicious coffee served with aloha!”

“[urgent need help]
We were here on 23rd May around 2:30pm and dropped an iPhone. If anyone sees this within the next 1-2 days, can you please check with the hosts about a phone and reply to this chat?
Now for the place itself:
The place has really great food and people that make the road to Hana even more memorable. Cameron serves up really delicious Huli huli chicken.”

“While not visibly on the menu, the taco truck offers a variety of gluten-free and vegan options. One day I simply didn't want meat, so I ordered a vegan taco salad bowl. It was amazing, looked like a work of art, and was proudly presented for my approval, before being handed-off. Lots of young folk working there, and their eagerness to please the palette was refreshing to me after a long day. I'd definitely recommend this place for a decent meal and a smile.”

“The only sit down restaurant in town. Went for lunch and dinner. Excellent food. Excellent service. Fast kitchen. A bit pricey as in $22 for a mai Tai. Small menu.”

“Food truck with friendly, knowledgeable service and fresh fruits and juices—I happily waited to order as the server finished scooping out and blending up a vat of fresh papaya! We stopped both on our way out and then back from our hike. I recommend the smoothies.
Note: no bathroom available for customers at this food truck corral; look for facilities at nearby parks.”
