Coconut shrimp was so good. Food is delicious.
The food and the coffee and sooooo good! Absolutely amazing spot to stop for North shore days. everything on the menu is spot on and great service - highly recommended!
The food is a bit pricey but excellent quality and delicious! The views while sitting outside are also fantastic.

The Ryboo bagel sandwich and fresh squeezed orange juice were so delicious! And their little patio has an amazing view of the mountains.

I recently dined at Wake Up Cafe Hanalei and found the experience to be quite underwhelming. While the food was just okay, it was quite expensive, especially for the island. What really left a sour taste in my mouth was the additional charges. After leaving a $7 tip, I asked for a container to take home leftovers and was told it would cost $0.50. Additionally, they wanted to charge another $0.50 for a homemade pineapple hot sauce, despite offering a variety of other hot sauces for free at their condiment stand.
The quality of the food was questionable, and the prices were exorbitant. This place is definitely not a good bang for your buck. Unless you’re a multimillionaire, I would recommend eating somewhere else, as Wake Up Cafe Hanalei does not provide good value for your money.

Went here for breakfast and it is one of the best places in Hanalei to get a hardy and delicious breakfast. Staff was so kind and friendly. Food was delicious and quick. Highly recommend

“Not the Aloha way” says the person at the grill after they took my order of two eggs and toast. The end. Hands me a pager, writes down my name. Then proceeds to call up at least 6 people who came in after I had already been standing there waiting for toast and eggs. I stood right there patiently waiting my turn as everyone else has the beeper going off and their names hollered out. Me standing. Smiling every time she makes eye contact. 30 mins later, I finally engage to ask if something may have happened with my order. She looks me dead in the eye to tell me they have been paging me and paging me and paging me over and over and over. Hands me cold food as I tell her she has watched me actively for 30 mins. Never once said my name. My pager never beeped like everyone else’s. Hands me stone cold food. So I say “so now I get cold food?” Blinks back. Me “gee, thanks” not a single word of self awareness. Which I would have responded in like with a “you’re busy. No worries. Thank you.” Notta. It’s my fault. So yep. Pushing the my cold eggs and dry toast into my hand. Then she’s says “ have a good day, Heidi”. She’s not who I gave my name too. She knew it. Thats the only time it was said. But she sure broke my $10 bill to leave her a $5 tip for a $9 meal. Next time? Just tell me I didn’t spend enough to matter for you. So I could have at least had my eggs warm somewhere else. I am just glad my husband wasn’t with in ear shot to hear it all as I walked out the door and your cook mocked me. “Not the Aloha way” indeed.
This is the type of restaurant in Hawaii where you share a plate with your spouse.. the plates are HUGE. Very good quality of food, we loved it, it has a beautiful view if you eat there, they don’t have a ton of space, just 4 tables so if you want to eat there you may have to wait. Food is pricey but I think it’s reasonable for their sizes.

We tried the mini portion of the Churro French Toast and it was the best french toast i've had in my life. Such a unique take on French Toast and the whipped cream was addicting. If your eyes are bigger than your stomach, maybe go with the mini serving of the French toast, it was more than enough for us. We also split the Basic B breakfast with Spam, over-easy eggs, and rice. So simple but delicious - one of my favorite breakfasts to make at home and to order when I can. We also couldn't help ourselves and needed to try their Coconut Cold Brew - I wish I could drink that every morning! The atmosphere was super cute but be mindful that it's limited seating but you have an amazing view of the mountains in the background and on a clear day you might see all the waterfalls around you too. The staff were sweet too! We can't wait to come back next time we are in town and try their plate lunches too!

Little spot right off the main road. Restaurant has limited seating and is pretty cluttered so I recommend getting it to go. The cashier wasn’t rude but she wasn’t friendly. We got the breakfast burrito and a half order of the churro French toast. Both were delicious and huge. 1 burrito and 1 half order of the French toast could easily feed three people. They offer coffee but no espresso style coffee. They have cans and bottle soft drinks as well.

The place has a lovely ambiance and the food is delicious. However, the service was disappointing as the person at the register appeared to be either hungover or not quite alert yet. After placing our order, we had to wait for 5 minutes to receive our muffin and cups for our coffee. When my wife inquired about the delay, the server apologized halfheartedly and handed over the muffin and cup. Unfortunately, the coffee had run out, and we had to get the server's attention again to refill the self-serve container. Despite the poor service, the coffee was excellent, and we believe that with the right person at the register, the experience could be great. We think it's worth giving the place another try due to the excellent food, coffee, and charming ambiance.

It gets busy so plan for that, but after you get your food you know why- it’s quick, delicious, and such a cute boho little shop. Love all the “gag gift” like stickers and gifts. Easy to find and close to shopping. My go to for days, even if I wasn’t staying there. No espresso, but their cold brew and house made juices make up for it!

Food was good all around. Took a little while to get our food, but it was worth it. There’s not a lot of seating to eat, but they do have some cool things to look at and buy inside the shop.
