“We’ve been in Hawaii for four times now and this is THE best food we’ve had hands down. We ordered a chicken gyro and beef/lamb gyro along with the side potatoes and they were incredible! Every bite was perfectly seasoned and an experience of its own right!”

“Bar Acuda is a must when we come to Kauai each summer. The main problem is getting reservations. You must log in 30 days in advance @ 3pm HST. You have to try within 5-10 minutes in order to score a reservation. Otherwise, you can get notified if a spot opens. Or you can go around 4:30-5 in person & try for walk-in spots. Not sure how easy it is to get a table by walking in.
A tapas restaurant that uses local ingredients, it is consistently excellent. We have basically covered the entire menu over the years. Our favorites include the cucumber salad, broccoli w/ burrata, lamb riblets, Kauai shrimp & the lentils. You really can’t go wrong. The lilikoi cheesecake is light & creamy & a must have. The lemon crumble ice cream with pistachios is refreshing.
Highly recommend Bar Acuda as a quality restaurant.”

“Very solid food and massive portions. Fish curry was 2 meals in one so great value. I think my standards for Indian food are quite high, and this was very solid, hearty, and incredibly fresh. Nice guy running the food truck”

“The vegetable of the night was cauliflower. Undercooked hard . The swordfish was very good . My husband had the steak with mushrooms and a dab of sweet potato.. Not the most tender. That was the plates. No bread basket to fill.We won't be back here again. Plus horribly expensive and we have dined all over our country.”

“While in North Kauai, Hanalei Bread Company was at the top of our list. Sad to say, we arrived just before closing.

We grabbed some delicious coffee and a quick pastry from the counter, and both were excellent. Everything tasted fresh and was the perfect pick-me-up.

Parking can be a challenge during peak season, so I'd recommend going early. Let me know what you think if you visit!”

“Federico’s in Hanalei is an absolute MUST!!! We ate here FOUR times during our stay in Princeville, and honestly, we probably could’ve eaten here every day! 😂 The Al Pastor tacos are the best tacos we’ve ever had—amazingly delicious and packed with flavor!

We loved it so much that on our last day on Kauai, we actually drove all the way back up from the south side of the island just to have Federico’s one more time before heading home. That should tell you everything! 🌮❤

“Amazing smoothies. The staff is also extremely helpful and nice. The owner is super friendly and she said she grows all her fruit locally. I highly recommend trying a couple of their smoothies. I think I went back three or four times on my trip.”

“Their authentic Japanese ramen bowls are perfectly seasoned and flavorful. We had the ramen with pork belly and they were delicious. They have lots of fun and yummy appetizers, our favorites were the bao buns and the brussel sprouts. The atmosphere is great and I highly recommend a reservation because the wait can be quite long.”

“We had lunch today and the service and food was amazing. The lady who waited on us was super friendly and gave us some history of the restaurant. We love the open air seating and all the chickens running around. We would recommend you try it! We had the orange chicken and drunken noodles. Big portions and the food was hot and fresh.”

“Phenomenal food. They were about as packed as I've ever seen a restaurant and the servers killed it! Dishes were served promptly and politely and they managed to seat my wife and I and our baby despite there being a party of 52 there for a wedding. Super impressive. Will definitely be back.”
