“Some of the best Indian food we’ve had. We had picky parents, who are also vegetarian and the options here were perfect. They loved the food and were satisfied. The portions are massive. Service is great! Must try while in Hanalei town !!“

“Bar Acuda is a must when we come to Kauai each summer. The main problem is getting reservations. You must log in 30 days in advance @ 3pm HST. You have to try within 5-10 minutes in order to score a reservation. Otherwise, you can get notified if a spot opens. Or you can go around 4:30-5 in person & try for walk-in spots. Not sure how easy it is to get a table by walking in.
A tapas restaurant that uses local ingredients, it is consistently excellent. We have basically covered the entire menu over the years. Our favorites include the cucumber salad, broccoli w/ burrata, lamb riblets, Kauai shrimp & the lentils. You really can’t go wrong. The lilikoi cheesecake is light & creamy & a must have. The lemon crumble ice cream with pistachios is refreshing.

That was the plates. No bread basket to fill.We won't be back here again. Plus horribly expensive and we have dined all over our country.“

“We got the veggie tostadas and bean and cheese burrito. Both were delicious and flavorful. The fajita veggies were one of the best with a great char and freshness. The outside seating with the view of the mountains was great for a picnic feeling. Wish the place had an air conditioned indoor seating though for the afternoon sun of lunch hours.“

They have lots of fun and yummy appetizers, our favorites were the bao buns and the brussel sprouts. The atmosphere is great and I highly recommend a reservation because the wait can be quite long.“

“I have been coming to Pat's Taqueria for over 10 years now, we make it a point to stop in every time. Highly convenient location at the Hanalei pier, its also a quick drive or walk down from Pine Trees, He'e street, or the pavilion if you choose to go there. Its a popular spot and the food truck is only so big so you have to wait and enjoy the surrounding views for a few moments, but that's not big deal as the anticipation of a fantastic taco makes it that much more delicious. I've had all of their tacos, you cant go wrong they are equally as phenomenal as the next. Any one that complains about price is nit picking because its 100% worth every penny.\n\nKeep on keeping on!“

“The food is exactly what you expect from L&L. Solid barbecue, done well, and just as good as any other L&L you’ve been to. They do run a more limited, modified menu here, though.

That said, the location right in the center of Hanalei makes it worth the stop. Sitting there, hanging out, and just watching the flow of people through town is part of the experience.

If you’re specifically looking for the full L&L menu, you’d probably be better off heading back to Kapaa where there are a couple of locations. But if you’re in Hanalei and want good barbecue in the middle of one of the best little towns on the island, it’s a great place to grab a bite.“

“We had lunch today and the service and food was amazing. The lady who waited on us was super friendly and gave us some history of the restaurant. We love the open air seating and all the chickens running around. We would recommend you try it! We had the orange chicken and drunken noodles. Big portions and the food was hot and fresh.“
