“I had the mahi-mahi with asparagus and mashed potato potatoes I think. The fish was good, but it needed the sauce that the mahi came in, which was fantastic. Asparagus cooked perfection. I had a side salad which was actually surprisingly big but it’s just iceberg lettuce carrots nothing special. I’m not a big beer fan so I didn’t buy any beer so I can’t help you there.“

“I had the fresh catch of the day, scallops, shrimp, and a couple rumtinis and I was actually impressed. This spot seems more for locals and is nothing fancy but they cook with heart. I only marked a 4 star rating because the flies are pretty out of hand. Enjoy it but be prepared to defend your plate. “First time eating here. Looked for ramen place afterthe Kauai Sea Tours (Zodiac). Ordered the mini ramen, calamari and rainbow roll. Everything was delicious. The calamari sauce was excellent and so was the service. Will be back here again when I'm the area.“

“We have heard great things about this truck, so we finally tried it and are so glad we did! We ordered the shrimp tacos and Cali Burrito, and both were delicious. The salsas were particularly good, with the right amount of heat. I look forward to going back and trying other items on the menu!“

“This little food truck is a gem. It moves around, but you can follow their social media or call to see where it will be. We tracked them down one night at the Hanapepe Friday Night Festival & Art Night, but they were already out of Kalbi. We decided to wait and try them on another day. We found the truck in Wailua and ordered the Kalbi, pork belly with white rice and fried saimin and the Kalua pork with Korean BBQ chicken, white rice and fried saimin. The man working alone in the truck is the owner and he was very friendly. We called in our order ahead of time so we didn't have to wait very long for our order. It was hot and the portions were huge. But most importantly, it was excellent! The price was very good too for the amount of food we got. We sure had delicious leftovers! If you enjoy a good, hearty meal, give the HOKU food truck a try. You won't be sorry. There was only one picnic table to sit at (which was occupied) so we ate in our car at the peaceful Pa'ula'ula Historic Site free parking lot down the street. We will surely seek Hoku's out again in the future.“

The owner is really lovely and clearly knows what he’s doing. Love the coconut shrimp and the dal. Great Indian is hard to find and this place nails it. No alcohol served just FYI.“

“We ate here four times for breakfast while staying at a nearby resort- it’s that good! We pretty much had everything in the menu and it’s all delicious (the French toast was a stand out). Food is prepared very quickly with fresh, high quality ingredients. Portions are generous.“

They have the coolest pre-show activities, the best photographer, and some of the tastiest luau food we've ever had.I highly recommend splurging for the VIP tickets. “Filipino food is delicious..the lumpia, is delicious. Just like if we made it ourselves. I come from a big Filipino family. This food is definitely delicious…the pancit, chicken, pork adobo, the fried chicken and barbecue chopped pork was delicious. We ate here twice during our 7 day visit. If we were closer, probably more. They have the the nicest people who work there too. My husband accidentally left his bag there with cash, credit card, driver’s license and wallet inside. My husband did not know he left it until later in the day. He had his cell phone on him. We retraced our step from the beginning, Aaron’s restaurant was the first stop we made that day. When we got back to out hotel in Lihue, we called them and they had it. Luckily, it was the people at Aaron’s restaurant that found it and kept it safe until we called. Our trip, would have been a disaster . Again thank you for the delicious Filipino food and for keeping my husband valuables safe. Honest, hardworking, friendly and nice people.“

“This place is a staple for us to visit when we are in Kauai. They have some of the best pizza in Kauai. The atmosphere has a very down to earth local feeling. Service is great. Love the whole wheat crust and their dessert pizza is absolutely outstanding.“

“Visited with a party of 8 for breakfast, a were seated in about a half hour. I personally had the Loco Mocco for the first time, it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Others in the group had the Banana and Macadamia nut pancakes and would also say that they are one of the best things they have had in a long time.“

“This gem is hidden inside the Sheraton Hotel and offered a terrific happy hour between 5-6. Noel the bartender gave excellent service and his recommendation of the white fish special was spot on. I especially enjoyed the brussel sprout appetizer and it contained sausage slices. Seeing a couple next to us order the flatbread, gave me flatbread envy so we returned the next day. Yes, I had the flatbread appetizer and delicious lamb. The ambiance was warm and cozy with an ocean view.“

“Taco connoisseurs here. 5 star flavor, took off a star just cuz they were super expensive. But their blackened fish tacos and bowl were extremely good and we’d get them again. The shrimp tacos were great too. They were out of carne asada which must mean they’re good (we went at the end of the day). The food looked like their photos and was delicious.“
