The food and service was excellent. The seared ahi main dish was especially exceptional. Despite the lovely view of the pool area and the ocean beyond, the dining room is spare and unremarkable.
4.25 stars. Red Salt was the most surprising restaurant find of our most recent trip to Kauai. I would say that their menu is very impressive - certainly more varied and interesting than other fine dining places around. I wanted to give them 5 stars, but small misses on the food knocked it down - my lamb was overcooked and not well trimmed, my scallops needed a better sear, the risotto was a bit too complicated (hid the lobster taste), and our lava flows were not as good as other...read full review
