“This food truck is the best place for poké on Kauai! Charming relaxed atmosphere, DELICIOUS food at affordable prices, all next to an open building with great shops. Corn hole game for the kiddos set up near the covered seating area. All 8 in our group agreed that this was the place to eat! Visited 2-3 times during our stay. Highly recommend!”

“Food at La Spezia is outstanding! This was the first time dining at La Spezia (party of three), and we couldn't have been more pleased. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. The food was the most delicious any of of us has ever had. I ordered the gnocchi, my friend ordered the short rib ravioli (and couldn't stop raving about it!), and my husband devoured the wagyu hanger steak (he said it was amazing!). The wine we drank was terrific as well (a red zinfandel)! Even though all of us were full, we ordered dessert the salted caramel panna cotta, which was outstanding! All in all a meal we will never forget! We highly recommend La Spezia for a very enjoyable night, to anyone looking for a great restaurant in Koloa.”

“This was a last minute reservation based on an internet recommendation. I had no idea Tidepools existed before that. This turned out to be the best dinner we had during our 10-day stay. It's at the Grand Hyatt, tucked away down the stairs in an intimate area surrounded by a koi pond. A nice twilight ambience as well. My wife had the Mahi Mahi, I had the rib eye steak. Both were excellent. The drinks were outstanding. The staff was great. Our waiter was fantastic and always available. The price? Well, it's the Grand Hyatt, right? Yes it's pricey. But if you're looking for one night to splurge, this would be the place to do it.”

“No Lie, I have had about 10 different shave ice from kaui and oahu in a week and this was my favorite. First of all, love the vibes. The design of the place with the mustache and then the menu names were perfect. Definitely a smaller place but it was so good. For me it was texture, it wasn’t just ice and flavor on top, the ice had this melting texture like ice cream while still being shave ice. The different flavors were also great. Good service and a great place.”

The local breakfast sandwich, croissantwich and Breakfast Burrito and so delicious, but my favorite by far is the Lomi Salmon Bagel....I crave it!!!!! Highly recommend!”

“We were in town from KC during the superbowl and wanted some bbq for the game. We are a bit picky and spoiled with bbq but D's hit the spot! We had ribs, pulled pork, burnt ends, and brisket. Good portion sizes and great taste! All of the meat was the perfect level of tender without falling apart and had great flavor. The medium sauce was sooo good! A slow heat with a lot of flavor! Thank you D's for great food and friendly service! Don't hesitate and go get some delicious bbq in your life!”

“I regularly bring my kids to this shop for treats. The location is great, and the prices are comparable to any shops around the area, even across the island. But more than anything, my support comes from how present they are in the local community.

They consistently support our local Title I school and recently even welcomed an entire group of first graders into the shop. That kind of commitment, not just catering to tourists, but truly investing in the community doesn’t often happen. My son really enjoyed the stop with his classmates, thank you.”

“This place was highly recommended by my patient that was part of a Facebook Group that posted about this place a lot and they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was good and the service was fantastic, but not so good that we made a second stop on our trip. Their service was quick too, so it's a good stop if you only have a short time to eat! Their menu includes: Truffle Burger, Veggie Burger, Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Kenji Burger (teriyaki, ponzu aioli, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, tomato & arugula), Misoyaki Fish Sandwich, Salads, Sushi Burritos & Bowls (loco moco, chicken katsu, misoyaki fish, and poke). There are 2 locations on the island”

“We are HGV owners and are enjoying our time at the point. We can’t say enough about Mike and Marla the Magnificent and Zada! So helpful, so personable, food is great, so accommodating! Feel like I’ve known them forever! Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience with the December 4th morning bartender Keoki. He seemed bothered to have to assist us in any capacity. Short and disrespectful in his responses as well. Glad that we woke up to Marla on Friday to start our day!

We also had the chicken pad Thai and it was good. Nice chunks of chicken and the noodles were cooked perfectly.

“We ordered from here twice during our stay at the grand Hyatt! Both times we ordered from our lounge chairs, they have staff going around to take orders and they bring the food right to you! We really enjoyed the fish tacos, we got them twice. The tacos are big and the fish is perfect. The prices at this place are pretty fair considering it’s a resort, and I feel the portions are good for the price as well.”

“Restaurant in Hyatt Resort. Beautiful setup. Recommend getting outdoor seating if available. The views are breathtaking. The breeze is refreshing. Menu has short selections..the appetizer is shockingly small..like 4 bites for $25..try splitting that to a party of six..lmao. The portion size might be normal for this type of dining. Not recommended for teens. Mines opted for something familiar (burgers), which defeats the purpose of dining here. Overall good dining, would come back..but definitely leaving the kids at home.”

“I recently went here with my family. Our waitress was fantastic! We got 2 pizzas and an order of garlic knots. The pizzas seemed fairly priced since we were in Hawaii but the garlic knots were a rip off. We got 6 small knots for $10. Next time we would skip the knots.”

“Meaty enough! Lots of reviews criticized the patty size, but this is a delicious burger and five stars for the value. The fries are also top-notch. It makes for a great value meal in between bigger dinner splurges.

We highly recommend the Bubba Style with a double patty. The single patty is only 1/6 of a pound. Ideal for kids but not enough for a hungry adult. The special was solid too, and our group absolutely loved the addition of the pineapple!”

And then, how can you pass up JoJo's Shave Ice for dessert right next door?!”

“The Prime Rib was enjoyed by my son-in-law, and I LOVED the Stung Honey Fried Chicken. The coconut shrimp were the perfect accompianment to the King Tiki Mai Thai. My wife loved the Asian Salad, but my DIL thought the Macademia Crusted Mahi Mahi was a bit dry. Service was SPECTACULAR, and the kids menu was extensive - our 3.5 yo grandson loved the grilled cheese sandwich with waffle fries, our 19 month old grandaughter loved the pasta with marinara, and there was also pasta with butter sauce, cheese burger sliders with waffle fries, and chicken tenders with waffle fries. The view of the pool and ocean from under the lanai was also terrific!”

“Food is still good however the service now sucks. if your eating and want something else or another drink. whoever is serving you will not get it you are told that you must go back up to the cashier and order it there. what kind of crap is that. when told that I replied that "Then no need to tip you right" ? got a dirty look for that one, I'm just saying what's the purpose of having a waiter/waitress that won't get anything may as well go to the Crack. glad the one in Kalaheo isn't like poipu !!”
