“The flavors were great, but there was literally just one server for the entire restaurant... It's not an exaggeration.

I'll start with the service... Unfortunately, when a restaurant is woefully understaffed, the service is going to suffer, and Leong's was no exception. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful, but we waited quite a while for him to come by and take our order. And, as might be expected, we never got our calamari appetizer. However, the entrees came out pretty quickly, so I told him to cancel the calamari.

As for the entrees, I had a combo of chicken stir fry and kalbi beef, served with rice. This was excellent, even if the calbi beef was cold on arrival. My wife had just the chicken stir fry and rice and enjoyed it very much. We ordered the brownie ala mode for desert, and unfortunately, the ice cream was melted, and the entire thing became a soup in 30 seconds.

Overall, the food was tasty, but with only one server for the entire restaurant, execution issues, like cold entrees, melted deserts, and forgotten appetizers, are bound to happen. It's a shame, really, because the food is really good.... Well, it certainly would have been if served at the correct temperatures. (still give 4 stars, but would have been 5, if...)“

“Great place! Had a couple mai tais, which were strong and delicious. Also had a side of fries...I'm not young and those were among the BEST fries I've had in my life! Ima gonna organize a trip just to have more of those darn fries! The service and view were also awesome.“

“Went for our anniversary. We are staying at the hotel. We were seated at a beautiful corner table overlooking the water. Chuck was our server and he was amazing. Super attentive. My husband and I always share a meal and they served each course already split. Nice presentation. We received a lovely complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Make reservations early!“

“This food truck is the best place for poké on Kauai! Charming relaxed atmosphere, DELICIOUS food at affordable prices, all next to an open building with great shops. “We enjoyed Puka Dog very much! A unique and tropical experience with the different flavors of sauces. Personally we had one with mild sauce & passion fruit sauce and another with spicy jalapeño & ketchup. Delicious until the last bite. Grab extra napkins and head to the beach to enjoy with a fresh squeezed lemonade! You won’t be disappointed“

“The shave ice was good and plenty! I love the macadamia ice cream! The staff was friendly and nice, and the food was good. Only one group is allowed in the store to time, so that's a little weird, and there's really no place to share your shave ice with a friend. But it is worth the stop at both locations in Kauai.“

“The Prime Rib was enjoyed by my son-in-law, and I LOVED the Stung Honey Fried Chicken. The coconut shrimp were the perfect accompianment to the King Tiki Mai Thai. My wife loved the Asian Salad, but my DIL thought the Macademia Crusted Mahi Mahi was a bit dry. Service was SPECTACULAR, and the kids menu was extensive - our 3.5 yo grandson loved the grilled cheese sandwich with waffle fries, our 19 month old grandaughter loved the pasta with marinara, and there was also pasta with butter sauce, cheese burger sliders with waffle fries, and chicken tenders with waffle fries. The view of the pool and ocean from under the lanai was also terrific!“
