“If the fact that we came here 3 times for shaved ice in one week doesn't say how much we enjoyed it then I don't know what would! The best shaved ice I have ever had in Hawaii! Served with a smile and some local suggestions, a generous portion with naturally made fruit flavored syrups (you can totally tell) and a huge scoop of ice cream topped with some macadamia nuts and I am now adding them as a rotation into my diet. A small food cart, conveniently located across from a beautiful snorkel spot and some vacation rentals, there is limited street parks that we didn't have trouble finding but can see it being busy in the summer. Will be my first stop when I'm back in Kauai!“
“Long wait due to only one woman handling the orders and drinks and handing out the food. But the food came out in 5-10 minutes is very good and filling. Had the French toast with bacons d eggs and loved it. Wife had the veggie fried rice with eggs and was very tasty. Paper cartons and plastic silverware so very casual. Find a table or spot in the plaza to sit and eat.“
“We are from Paso Robles California and I work at Sculpterra winery .. I was pouring for 3 ladies and Barb had told me that her brother owned a wine shop in Koloa .. I said we have family n friends there we will go! So went and met Dan and his wife at their store and made reservations for dinner at the Tasting Room.. we ordered sparkling wine .. the small Charcuterie board ( yum) we ordered the smoked beet salad and French onion soup.. we didn’t even get the larger bites cause this was enough ( but we saw the rib eye steak n salmon being served and they looked awesome )and then we indulged in the toffee!!We met Megan and Dani who were gracious and fun !! We had a delightful time !! You need to go!!!“
“We have stopped by "the big ice cream cone" many times for either ice cream or Dole Whip. They don't have a ton of flavors, but they give large scoops at very reasonable prices (especially for Dole Whip) and are always super friendly. The shop offers a little of everything: ice cream, pastries, coffee, and more, but we stick to the cold stuff and are always happy.“
“Very nice casual spot for lunch. Gluten free items were clearly marked on the menu. The server was very knowledgeable about gluten free and made sure everything I ordered would be ok. They also kindly accommodated my fruit allergies in my mixed fruit. Food was typical but good grill food.Dietary restrictions: Very knowledgeable staff and willing to accommodate.“
“We went for breakfast most mornings in our 8 days at the Grand Hyatt. $52 each for buffet which is crazy but the Costco deal covered it o/w I would suggest going off property for brunch. Reallly nice breakfast spread , made to order omelets and service is excellent. Beautiful view of the ocean and resort.“
“My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Table on a recent Wednesday night, and Jenny was our server! She was so nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. My wife had the pork chop which she loved, and I started with French onion soup (very good with a very rich taste) and then the baked fish which was fabulous. My only complaint was that the rice that came with the fish was only luke warm at best. The sauce on the plate was fabulous! Great restaurant and Jenny was fabulous, be sure to ask for her!“
“Excellent service and food! We have dined here for lunch and dinner. Both times we were very impressed with the food and service. The setting has open view to a water feature that makes you feel like your in the forest. I had the signature Mai Tai. Recommend “
“The food is delicious. However, after ordering, you have to wait a long time for the food to be served at the restaurant rather than the beach. The kids menu is a set and includes drinks and snacks.Kid-friendliness: There is also a children's menu and a good environment for children.Wheelchair accessibility: All roads are well-maintained and wheelchair accessible.“
“4.5 star rounded up to a five to make sure you go to this place. We were looking for someplace a little less expensive and crowded than the oceanside bars and resorts, and this did the trick. The food was great, they had beer on top, the prices were reasonable for the island, and the service was fun and friendly (thanks Idol!! Sp??).The ahi poke was fresh and tasty and plentiful with a nice sauce and we added avocado to top it off. It was extremely filling. The gluten-free Carnitas tacos had flavors of the islands, generous portions, and a nice slaw and sauce.Sweet potato fries were also generous, tasty, and had a nice spicy aïoli to go with them.Overall a great experience, and will definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options and designation on the menu.“
“Absolutely amazing!!! You must go here!! The view is breathtaking (definitely recommend for happy hour/sunset). Food is amazing (we had tuna poke)!! Drinks are SOO good (you must try their espresso martini). Service the best service we had our entire stay and the live music was so great and fun (we went on a Thurs)!! We LOVE this place. Don’t pass this place up!! It’s amazing!!“
“Definitely more of a Bar feel, but the staff made our little family feel right at home, even amidst a toddler melt down! The food was delicious, we got the pork nachos, and the view and vibes are immaculate. Plenty of parking and the prices were not unreasonable.“
“My husband and I had dinner here in March '24 and everything was spectacular. The location is incredible and we were able to watch the sun set. Our server, Moon, provided perfect service, right out of a page in the book 'Unreasonable Hospitality'. Her energy was so positive and she is a beautiful soul. The food and monkeypod Mai Tais was 10/10 as well. Thank You!“
“The restaurant offers a wide variety of options, seafood, sandwiches, salads, bugers, etc, but the portions were a bit small compared to other places I’ve been, and not very different price-wise.I did enjoy the view and the closeness to the beach - this was the main reason I chose Lava’sVegetarian options: Not a lot of vegetarian options. Only 2 salads“
“Best food and friendliest staff! I have been to Oahu a million times and this was my first time to Kauai and I realized it doesn't have as much iconic food as Oahu and most places in Kauai overcharge and under season especially in the tourist areas! Porkys was reasonably priced compared to everything in Kauai and was delicious! And had a clean, modern vibe. I got the #4 which is a pork rice bowl with pineapple and a side of pickled onions and cucumbers, it was soooo good! My little toddler loved it too! I will definitely be going back! The staff was all super friendly and the owner came over and chatted with us. We loved it!“
