“Ok - listen up. Shave ice is a heavenly experience. Thats understood. The differentiation with Hee Fat is the homemade syrups made right there. This place is so incredibly good that we went 5 times while we were in Kauai. Might I suggest some merch? I’d love to rock a Hee Fat shave ice shirt back on the mainland. You’ll be glad you stopped in for a lava flow and know your day will be better. Chefs kiss!“
“The ahi nori wrap is to die for. I've been getting it for 20 years or however long Mermaids has been open, I don't miss a visit there at least once whenever I'm on island. Yeah, sometimes they aren't open when I wished they were, but it's worth coming back the next day...“
“This was the best food we had on our trip to Kauai. I had teriyaki chicken, my husband had the broccoli beef bowl, and our kids had the breakfast special with pancakes. The food was absolutely incredible. Service was very quick and friendly. Everything was perfect! I only wish we had discovered this place before our last day on Kauai.“
“Made reservations here for my Birthday and was not disappointed! We arrived a bit early and the staff had our table ready within five minutes. We were given a complementary glass of champagne which was a nice surprise. It was a bit windy and they provided a blanket for me to keep warm. The views of the ocean and the food were absolutely amazing! I had the seared ahi and my partner had the braised boneless short rib. I can’t remember our server’s name but he was great! Would highly recommend.“
“We shared the coconut shrimp & calamari, artichoke hearts & pineapple fried rice which was excellent. Our dessert was the lava lava cake w/vanilla ice cream. We waited at the bar for a table on the beach, worth it. Excellent service.“
“Best poke we’ve had in Kauai - the selection was incredibly impressive and extensive. Hokkigai, raw crab, kimchi tako, ahi…so good. They also offer sushi and cute inari filled pockets. Butter mochi was delicious as was the pork lau lau. You dont see this place on a lot of tourist guides - it’s a local favourite and we are so glad we stumbled upon it!“
“Such a fun experience! The view was incredible, the dinner had a great flow, we didn't feel overwhelmed even though we ordered apps, entrees and dessert. Our server, Jay, was also fantastic!! He was personable, funny, and made great food recs. 10/10 recommend“
“Best acai bowl in the island and maybe in the world period. We could talk with the owner she is so adorable. She explained how they try to make things different here for instance the acai is mixed with coconut meat that's why it doesn't melt or get watery.we ordered two of their special menu and were so satisfied. We can't wait to come back ? . One of the best food spot in the island“
“Just ordered their ahi katsu plate and a side of kalbi ribs. Both were fantastic! Ahi was fresh, breading had a crispy crunch to it and fish was cooked perfectly. Kalbi ribs were flavorful, well seasoned and cooked to perfection with minimal fat. Highly recommend this place.“
“Came here for breakfast after hearing good reviews and now we know why! Omelet was cooked to perfection and the corn beef loco moco was such a nice twist to the loco moco we all know and love. They're friendly and super quick! Came back the next day for the wrap, and they had it ready as I was paying. The chicken and bacon wrap was really good and filling. Loved that it came with avocado“
“My husband said the best poke he’s ever had. And the macadamia crusted ono was amazing - it’s like having fine dining food for cheap. No area seating - we ate in our car. Went there twice during our Kaui trip. Drove all the way from princeville. Great find!“
“Very delicious food! Service was great. She recommended some of the popular plates. We had the smoked meat plate, Cali plate, and deep fried pork musubi and it was amazing! Took about 10 minutes from ordering to getting our food so very quick! You can eat at the table there or take elsewhere.Vegetarian options: Veggie options are clearly labeled and alternate sides are available.Parking: Parking in the Walmart parking lot.“
“Delicious food! We had mini loco-moco and “special” mochi waffles with chicken. Everything tastes top-notch! I was especially impressed with the service! Two girls handled a full house of customers: taking orders, bringing food, cleaning tables, bringing drinks and coffee refills - and we did not feel likewe were waiting too long for anything! 5 stars for the ladies of the cafe!!!!“
“I love supporting the culinary student program at Mark's Place but we go there because the food is really good ! The Ahi Tofu burger wrapped in lettuce is my favorite! Try the Fish or Teri Chicken if you're really hungry ! Plates are huge with rice Mac salad and green tossed salad too . You can ask for tossed green salad only and they are happy to accommodate the substitution. I love all of their sauces and the salad dressing is perfect !“
“I'm giving Keoki's 5 stars on atmosphere because I dig a working class place like this! No nonsense burgers and daily specials catering to the industrial neighborhood it's in. Great Mac salad with a kick of black pepper.Just a note: they're cash only.“
“We stopped on our way home from a day on the beach looking for a food truck we were told about and couldn't find. Decided to eat here, it's not very well seen because there aren't really any signs. It was delicious! I had the analoha burger and onion rings- delicious. Hubby had chicken tenders and fries- chicken was just alright, fries were delicious!“
“We bought the Kauai Loaded Avocado toast our daughter "best she has had on the island" and I had the Ahi Panini.."so good!" The pickled onions and the crunchy cucumber...and don't forget the Lilikoi dressing makes the salad! We are definitely going back. There is so much more I want to try! Great service too oh yeah...don't forget to tip! They all work hard to serve amazing fresh food!“
“Staff amazing, kind, friendly and enthusiastic. Luau show excellent! The whole atmosphere was excellent! Food was good. It is expensive but their program was put together really well. All around great time. Also vendors had some nice quality products made from Kauai and not over pricedDietary restrictions: Gluten Freen options and vegetarian optionsParking: Ease of direction for parking with parji g lot attendantsKid-friendliness: Lots of families“
“They only have one long table for outdoor seating, but this place seems like the locals' favorite. I see many orders multi box lunches. You have to go to the back of the store for the breathtaking view (hopefully we didn't intrude on private properties). The deluxe box lunch is the best deal for less than $14, lots of food, so I can see why the locals love this place.“
“Haven't been here since 2019, well it hasn't changed; the parking lot is full and the tables was almost to capacity. Tip Top is nostalgic, memories, flooding back to my childhood days. Took the Cousin here for breakfast. She ordered the grand slam and pancakes and I ordered the small order of oxtail soup. My other cousin, on Oahu mentioned I should try the oxtail soup. It was good, if you're allergic to peanuts, that's not for you.. The broth had a hint of star anise and five Chinese spices; ok I'm not an expert on spices; that's what I tasted. Bowl with fill with long rice, slices of won bok cabbage, sprinkle of peanuts, match-slices of sliced bamboo shoots, and green onions, accompanied with small plate with a big scoop of white rice, side of grated ginger and Chinese parsley and an extra small empty plate for your oxtail discarded bones. Atmosphere is casual a lot of local people and visitors as well .“
“I love plate lunches and Oki's is a quality option. The price is mid-range but that is expected based on it being in a mall food court. You won't leave hungry as the portions are large.Kid-friendliness: Open food court and right next to an arcade. Great for families.“
“A local favorite and family-owned business. One of the few places in Lihue that's open late. Visiting relatives always make time to dine here. Seating is first come first serve. Cash only. You can call in to go orders but it isn't made until you get there. Special saimin and beef skewer finished with a tart but light lilikoi chiffon pie is what I usually order. Chicken skewers can sometimes be undercooked. Help yourself to hot mustard, soy sauce, and chili pepper water vinegar condiments on the table. Wipe down your utensils before eating. They also serve manapua! Parking lot is full on second Saturday nights because of the Lihue Night Market until 8:30. There is no waiting room or benches, prepare to have somebody stand in line down the ramp when it's busy. There is a unisex restroom inside. I believe they are closed on September when the whole staff is on vacation.“
“Excellent local eatery specializing in plate lunches. Favorite entrees include pork adobo, various stews and curries, tempura and fried chicken. The Hawaiian plate with pork lau lau is also a standout. A friendly, family atmosphere with hard working employees.“
“Only attend this Luau if you are looking for really ono (delicious) food and an awesome Polynesian show. Worth every cent. Kaina and Uncle Wallis made us feel right at home and we're gracious hosts. Please support this Hawaiian family business.“
“Small BBQ place in an industrial area, delicious food and quiet corner with a few tables. No service yet none needed - takeaway and dine in are the same. Quite fastDietary restrictions: Many options with few ingredients - easy to navigateParking: Parking lot directly in front of the place“
“Foods ordered:Calamari: great lightly breaded and fried, tenderCoconut shrimp: yummy, fried well, cleaned, juicy and tenderPoke tacos: crispy, fresh fish, great marinade, very yummyMac nut crusted Ono- didn't think the parmesan would work but I was wrong! Very yummy, nice sides, wonderful sauce.Burger: very good, not greasy, fresh fries, perfect med-rare as requested.Virgin pina colada is also very tasty!Service is always happy, smiling and courteous.Love it, definitely will be back.“
“We came for an early lunch but it seems like we might have gotten here at the wrong time, there was very little in the cooler. I see in other reviews there were pictures of sushi but there was no sushi when we came. The ocean salad was delicious, poke was good, and the steamed taro-wrapped chicken and pork were just ok, pretty pricey for lunch though. There is no seating to eat here, not even a bench outside.“
