“Went to hukilau for 37th wedding anniversary. Oct 15. Was dying for prime rib. Didn’t care about price I wanted Prime rib so so bad. All we get here on Kauai is choice. There is no fat in the meat no marbling and you can’t cut it with a fork. You have to slice every bite. That is choice. And if you’re good with that. Then the rib is great. It was cooked perfectly. But I wanted the prime rib. Prime has fat all thru it and so tender the meat falls apart. Little pieces of fat around the edges and you can see the marbling in the center. I actually asked the waitress what was on my plate (which I have never ever done before) and she said it was prime she even went to the chef to check. He too said it was prime. I have cooked a lot of prime rib in my lifetime so I feel like I know what talking about but I felt like I was being blown off like an unknowing tourist. All I know is that my meat did not look anything like what is in the photo of their prime rib on the website with photos of their menu. Love this place otherwise. Been going there for 30 years. Incredibly nice waithelp and an incredible view for a romantic evening.“

“To be totally honest this was not our first choice to attend, but the others were booked up. I'm happy to report we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food, venue, and experience. It was a surprise to find out Grammy nominated Leilani Rivera Low would be leading the show, learning about her father and family history. Very interesting and she was a talented singer. My only gripe was we needed some fans (they were there but not on for some reason).“

“Staffs are friendly. This is my first time to visit. U basically tell them what u like and they will suggest you which combination you would order. All of the items look so good. I always wanted to try sesame Poke Ahi, sesame scallops, kimchi, stuffed chicken and pork Lau Lau with rice for my husband and I. Love all of them! U can tell they have good quality of food and prepared them well in order to keep them fresh! Highly recommend! Love this Hawaii food! 👏👏👍“

“The comments says the shaved ice may be a little grainy….well let me explain, they have selections of real flavors made with Real Fruits, not the same or comparable to liquid candy flavors…. Keep up the good work Hee Fat yours are the best Shave Ice and a great price.“

“One of the best Garlic Shrimp place on the island so far (we tried 8 others prior). Large shrimps (around 5 pieces) with shell on, head on. Comes hot, spicy, and garlicy. Friendly owner Nd quick service. Not too many shades to sit when it gets crowded.“

“Had the swordfish special. My wife had a fancy burger. We each had a different cocktail. Everything was really delicious!!! We also had the best server in our lives, her name was Kay. I know we will never have a server as great as her ever. We wish her the best!“

This is a take away food place. There are tables you can use but they do not offer full table service. The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful providing information about the menu options.

We had chicken katsu and mochiko chicken. Both were clearly made fresh. The chicken katsu was very juicy but the mochiko was a bit dry, yet great flavor.

This is good for a meal on a budget if you stick to the sides instead of getting the main combo dishes.“

“We visited for our anniversary dinner. We originally had reservations elsewhere but no luck with the special accommodations my husband requested so we decided to go to Moamoa. Our most amazing server Jo, stepped into action immediately when my husband told her it was our anniversary. She hand made a beautiful fresh flower lei, lined the walkway with rose petals, and treated us like royalty. I have never had a dining experience of this magnitude. The entire staff were all so wonderful, but Jo- she made our anniversary incredibly memorable. She carved a place in our lives that no review could accommodate.“

“This is helpful when you are in a pinch but you pay for the convenience. To go food is disappointing compared to other nearby options. Don't order the boneless ribs, it's actually 2 strips of flank steak reheated on a flat top, not the same thing! Sushi Shiono makes good grab n go sushi and the Wine bar has some great options, for late night too.“
