“The best meal we had on Kauai. We started with the Poke Nachos. They were great. Loved the wasabi cream. Wally's salad was very fresh and the dressing was excellent. I had the seafood special which was 3 different fish, served 3 different ways. My wife had the steak crown royal. It was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. She said that it was the best steak she had ever had in Hawaii. No room for dessert this time. Drinks were excellent as was the service.“
“Authentic Hawaiian food plus. At reasonable prices. The two of the guys who worked next door at the bicycle rental place recommended Pono Market for "local food."We ordered one Pork Laulau and one Chicken Laulau. This was great food, freshly made. The meat is wrapped in taro lraves and slow cooked for six hours. I thought the leaves tasted like spinach, so that was yummy. We were very happy with our meals.“
“I always worry when dining at a location with a beautiful location that the food will be subpar and service not great. This was not the case here! The drinks and food were delicious, our server was super friendly and fast-we had to get to the airport to catch our flight-and she was super accommodating. She brought me a drink based on my vague request and it was super yummy. The manager checked in with us, which was great. Highly recommend!“
“The Garagara Seafood at Lemongrass Grill in Kauai is a delightful blend of fresh seafood and vibrant flavors. The dish is expertly prepared, with each ingredient showcasing its natural taste while complementing the others perfectly. From succulent shrimp to tender fish, every bite is a burst of oceanic goodness. The ambiance adds to the experience, with its relaxed island vibe enhancing the enjoyment of the meal. Overall, Garagara Seafood at Lemongrass Grill is a must-try for seafood lovers visiting Kauai.“
“Awesome food! Great service! Generous portion sizes, and excellent quality. Papaya, melons, and avocado were all perfectly ripe. Omelets were perfectly cooked and generously full. We eat here every visit to Kauai, regardless of where we stay on the island. The people and food make it well worth the visit!“
“This is a locals steakhouse and priced like one. Don't expect fancy tourist atmosphere or prices. I am a steak snob and their beef is top quality. Their vegetables options are minimal and the salad is nothing to brag about. Wine list was okay with old world and new world wines. Service was top notch. This is a meat & potato restaurant. I would go here again.Vegetarian options: This is a meat and potato restaurant. Vegetarian options are minimal.“
“Best poke we’ve had in Kauai - the selection was incredibly impressive and extensive. Hokkigai, raw crab, kimchi tako, ahi…so good. They also offer sushi and cute inari filled pockets. Butter mochi was delicious as was the pork lau lau. You dont see this place on a lot of tourist guides - it’s a local favourite and we are so glad we stumbled upon it!“
“Just ordered their ahi katsu plate and a side of kalbi ribs. Both were fantastic! Ahi was fresh, breading had a crispy crunch to it and fish was cooked perfectly. Kalbi ribs were flavorful, well seasoned and cooked to perfection with minimal fat. Highly recommend this place.“
“I do a LOT of research in choosing a fine dining restaurant. This restaurant exceeded all of our expectations. My adult son said the prime rib he has was the best he's had. My wife and I had the butter fish (nightly special) and the fresh catch Oscar and they were both beautifully presented and divine on the palate. Yes, there was a Luau happening a few hundred yards from the restaurant but the ambiance in the restaurant was quiet and romantic. Service was on point at every step. We will return.“
“We were recommended this place from Kauai Backcountry Adventures and they stayed open for us. Best local Hawaiian fresh eats. We picked up some fresh Ahi and Marlin and they were beyond generous. Best local fresh fish spot on the island! Going here is a MUST! They have cooked and raw fish if you want to take some back to cook. Mahalo!“
“My husband said the best poke he’s ever had. And the macadamia crusted ono was amazing - it’s like having fine dining food for cheap. No area seating - we ate in our car. Went there twice during our Kaui trip. Drove all the way from princeville. Great find!“
“Had a large party eat here recently. All of the food and drinks were exceptional especially the risotto appetizer and the macadamia nut mahi. Staff was very nice and had great suggestions. Will definitely be going back and recommending to others“
“The freshest poke we had on this island!! We got spicy ahi poke nachos and it was my first time trying fish roe and actually enjoying it. Normally it’s off putting but that roe was the perfect topping on the nachos! The shrimp tacos were tasty also! With the quality of the seafood being top notch, everything else tasted amazing? highly recommend!!!“
“Recent visit to Kauai and their Korean style dish with an island twist were AMAZING!!!! The Kalena special was my favorite because I could sample 3 to 4 main dish (Kalbi, meatjun, bbq chicken and pork belly) and loved how we can select three homemade sides. I selected the Mac salad, fish cakes, noodles and I got to taste the cucumber, eggplant plant and seaweed salad too! You know the place is good when lots of locals go there to eat!!!! It’s close to Lihue airport, but make sure you go there before 2 pm M-F only!!! CASH ONLY!!!OHANA definitely love what they do!!!!Kid-friendliness: Local and family owned restaurant with plenty of Aloha!!!“
“Small BBQ place in an industrial area, delicious food and quiet corner with a few tables. No service yet none needed - takeaway and dine in are the same. Quite fastDietary restrictions: Many options with few ingredients - easy to navigateParking: Parking lot directly in front of the place“
“A solid meal after kayaking and hiking the sleeping giant trail. We got the seared ahi tuna - good, a bit more seasoning would make it great, mac salad was great. Also got the Korean chicken - great flavor, this one was a winner. Service was quick, prices reasonable and the inside dining area was small but nice.“
