“Good $30 fish, beef, or chicken burgers. Not much of an atmosphere between metal containers covered with a roof, and McD-style self-service. Arrived at 6pm, ate, left, never saw any other person other than a lady behind counter, zeronother customers.”

“Ono burger is a hidden gem. They are a small burger stand in Anahola but serve one of the best hambergers I've ever had. Onion rings are crisp and delicious too. But hurry in they close at 3pm! A locals hang out so you know its good!”

“We stopped here for coffee on our trip. I had a delicious Americano with a little macnut flavor. We also got the sourdough banana bread and I’m not exaggerating when I say that it might actually be the best banana bread I’ve ever had in my life. Do yourself a favor and order it! 🍌🍞

There is an outdoor seating in a beautiful garden space, but it was a drizzly morning and most people were taking their coffee to go. It seems to be a popular with locals — the few people we chatted with in line live in the area. There was a steady stream of people; I’d call it busy but not crowded and the barista served us all at a steady paced that felt efficient. He acknowledged everyone as they walked up and didn’t seem too bothered when I asked a couple questions about the plants in the seating area. I was careful to only ask two questions since he was busy and I can talk a lot! 😅

Overall the atmosphere felt friendly and relaxed and I wish I’d had an opportunity to come back during my trip.”

“Been to a handful of luau both on and off hawaii and I daresay smiths family is the best. The property is very nice lot of diverse flowers and trees to view. The kulua pig was done superb and not overly salted. The dances and performances were stellar. I can respect the fact its still family owned, family is still operating it and carrying on family traditions and the family business.”

“Absolutely solid tacos. I had the fish tacos and the tuna tostadas—everything was delicious. The fish tasted super fresh, and the tacos came out hot, which made them even better. Crushed them.
The habanero sauce is spicy but really good if you’re into heat. Also super filling—definitely leaves you satisfied. Overall, a really solid choice for tacos on the island. Tons of flavor and worth checking out.”

We also got the hand cut fries with the garlic sauce the cashier suggested. That was so gooood too. It was also nice to find such a vegan friendly place. Worth a stop!”

“Stopped in for a Shave Ice and a few souvenirs. They had a nice mix of typical and unique items. Also check out the attached skate shop. They shave ice was awesome! The consistency of the ice was very smooth , not crunchy like some of the others., so made for a smooth foundation. Then the syrups, wether a traditional syrup or their own fresh fruit purée, the flavors were full and so tasty. Then they top it off with a snow cap. You also have the choice to have a scoop of vanilla or macadamia nut ice cream in the bottom of the bowl. Absolute amazing shave ice, and we will be back on our next trip!”

“The salad rolls were not what we expected. They had no noodles only different types of vegetables. We love basil and vegetables and shrimp so we loved these! My wife is a huge fan of the pad-tai as well.”

“I have had a lot of pizza as it is one of my favorite foods. I even have my own pizza oven I cook my own. This is easily in my top 3 pizzas of all time. The base was amazing with good leoparding on the bottom. The crust had some great crispy crust. They are just 🤌🏼! I got the Kauai Beef Short Rib, and the toppings were just spectacular! Plus either the owner or one of the cooks has perfect music tone as well. Seriously cannot recommend this place enough!”

“Went to hukilau for 37th wedding anniversary. Oct 15. Was dying for prime rib. Didn’t care about price I wanted Prime rib so so bad. All we get here on Kauai is choice. There is no fat in the meat no marbling and you can’t cut it with a fork. You have to slice every bite. That is choice. And if you’re good with that. Then the rib is great. It was cooked perfectly. But I wanted the prime rib. Prime has fat all thru it and so tender the meat falls apart. Little pieces of fat around the edges and you can see the marbling in the center. I actually asked the waitress what was on my plate (which I have never ever done before) and she said it was prime she even went to the chef to check. He too said it was prime. I have cooked a lot of prime rib in my lifetime so I feel like I know what talking about but I felt like I was being blown off like an unknowing tourist. All I know is that my meat did not look anything like what is in the photo of their prime rib on the website with photos of their menu. Love this place otherwise. Been going there for 30 years. Incredibly nice waithelp and an incredible view for a romantic evening.”

“This are by far the best tacos we’ve had in the island. We tried the pastor ones, asada and mahi mahi and they were very good. The green salsa they had went great with the asada tacos. We are Mexicans and know about real tacos so we really recommend this place.”

“Yummy! This was an absolutely pleasant surprise. I found them because their Ahi Wrap was featured on Food Network's: The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Admittedly, there were issues with our order with the food taking longer than normal, so we were offered a container of poke to say sorry! The fish was so fresh and delicious. I chose the fresh catch plate (Ono) and the dipping sauces that came with it were delicious, my mouth is STILL watering! Seating is limited outdoors, but definitely still warrants a stop. Parking is plentiful in the front and back of this shopping mall.”
